folks welcome to another episode of start you Boston today I'm going to show you how to test a coil pack with a multimeter this coil pack is from a Corsa it's got four pins so it's got three pins but it doesn't matter you will be able to test it right you take your multimeter and you turn it to ohms you want to do ohms so you're gonna choose a bun here any pen where you're going to put the red probe when you take your black probe and you put it on another wire and then you get a reading and then the the pin next to that one you get a reading the pin on the on the on the first side you won't get a reading but that doesn't matter it doesn't indicate to a defective coil as long as you get on two pins where this opens a reading um that's a healthy reading anything below 7000 ohms is the indication of a defaulty coil pack that's now called the primary circuit then you get your secondary circuit you're gonna move your multimeter now to millivolts and you're gonna put it on the red Probe on any one of those um bins on that side and you're going to get out eating there as well and the moment you touched it on the side where you plug in your block wires you're going to get that that fluctuation as you touch it that's the indication that disc oil back is still healthy so if you don't get at eating on each one of these places where a a block wire goes in that's the indication of your secondary circuit that has gone on the coil pack in fact I hope that that's been helpful to you for lunchtime cheers
