How to Stop the Finals from Crashing in 2024

hey YouTube have you been playing the finals recently and in the middle of your match you unfortunately crash well I'm here to provide you with this video to give you a temporary fix this is not a permanent solution you will have to follow this process about once every two to three matches to be honest with you this video is intended for those who play on PC and the first step is for you to check your the finals settings so you need to go through all your settings here and you need to note down what settings you have in place little Annoying I know but it beats crashing in the middle of a match and you probably just cost your team a loss because as you well know this game requires teamwork so oh side note I did earn the uh I I did complete the battle pass today and I actually um earned the last level with a win and it was great moving forward so second step after you've taken note of your settings you need to quit the game next step you need to go to this directory here I will show you how to do that please also note that user profile will not be the name of your user profile this is to say you need to select the user profile okay so to pull up this directory you'll need to go to your file explorer first so I'm going to pull up my start menu you might have a search field down here on your taskbar it might be here on your start menu for me on Windows 11 I have a search field up here you may also pull up your start menu and just start typing if you want to be cool the keyboard input will be recognized and it will start searching I'm going to search File Explorer it already comes up I'm G to go into my C drive I'm G to go to users and then I'm going to go to my user profile okay here I will then type back slash app data backs slash at this point pretty easy I can then use the file explorer navigation arrows and I can go into local Discovery saved and then save games or excuse me save games words do have meaning in the field of Information Technology remember that if you're going into it anything related to Tech remember that words have meaning you want to highlight that entire directory don't delete the folder you want to delete the files within save games and delete your files now I would leave this minimized because you're GNA have to go back in there and do it again so I would leave that location minimized okay uh let me go back here okay yep minimize I'm then going to pull up the finals and as you might have guessed if some of you are techsavvy what ends up happening is every t uh this is a directory that holds files that do spawn when the game runs why the finals crashes my guess is something with unreal Engine 5 and the drivers that are being put out it happens more it seems like on AMD cards which dve is 6900 XT it's equivalent to the 4080 or excuse me the 3080 it's it's it's an in between for the 3080 and the 3090 and it seems to happen more on AMD cards but the crashing is happening on Nvidia as well but it's not nearly as prevalent so as you can see I have two files that spawned the other files will come right after okay I'm going to go back into my settings and I'm [Music] GNA do that and that's all fine now as you notice the master volume was not changed um unless it's 75 by default I actually don't know but I'm going to put that to 100 and I'm going to go here look sensitivity that's fine I do wait I do use toggle for Sprint and then for ads I do toggle my ads as well and that's it everything else I leave don't use controller I am mouse and keyboard all the way um where is is ah yes subtitles get those out of here and just going check that one more time and there we go oh right field of view all the way up everything else is fine okay and if some of you are worried no these files come right back these do saav files these files come right back I don't know why the crash happens exactly but for some reason getting rid of these files and recycling them once every so many games helps prevent the crash I don't think restarting your game fixes the crash because it seemed to happen even though I would to restart so something to do with deleting these files here helps prevent the crash actually 100% of the time for me if I don't delete these after about two to three games it crashes also something else to note I have noticed better luck with the game not crashing when I play anything but quick play yes so if I go well okay yeah anything but quick play so if I do uh unranked tournament or ranked tournament I don't crash could be coincidental I don't know okay and lastly I would like to thank the random person on the internet Who provided this information and I thought I would make this video in light of this person's advice I don't know who you are but whoever you are who posted that fix on the internet and I believe it was Reddit and then I ended up taking that and putting it on a few Reddit threads uh you'll see me on there at sir Dilly that's my Alias on
