How to Steal a Tractor

[Music] well we're here at the roost farm today and the semi i bought something new i've got to pick up so uh he's bringing the tractor back that way uh he can get me unstuck because there's a pretty good chance i'm gonna get stuck cooking onto this thing and uh sure enough we're stuck he's he's gonna shove me out about a 38 foot flatbed trailer that's uh i'm not gonna lie it's pretty rough but the price was right i don't need a nice one we're just making a tinder trailer out of it so he's about to shove me he's shoving us out and it doesn't look like uh we're locked up at all so that's a plus it uh it comes with some trees i told him i'm gonna charge them for tree removal well we've got the trailer on the semi and we're headed back home about five out of the eight tires took air and uh you know what they say about semi trailers if five don't hold it eight won't so we're headed home um with mostly dry routed tires the lights all still magically work this thing is set in the weeds for i don't know they thought at least 10 years so we're gonna have to put some work into it but amazingly enough the lights still work and uh turn signals work brake lights work the brakes even weren't seized up which was amazing and it seemed like they actually worked too uh i parked the semi downhill and just set the trailer brakes and it stopped the truck so it's got it's got some brakes at least um and they're not dragging and i don't see any smoke back there in the mirror right now so we're just gonna send it we're not that far from home and it's it's past rush hour and the d.o.t has all gone home by now so we're we're going to get it home and make it you know street legal i mean i'm pretty sure it is street uh it definitely wouldn't pass an inspection right now but it will when we're done with it so that's what we're doing hmm i wonder if a key for a 93 30 would work for me to test drive a uh 9350 i mean i already own this tractor so let's try and steal this one i mean it's it's red it looks pretty driveline looks good it's got fresh grease on it so that's a plus there's grease on the grease fittings so whoever had it did it appears that they took decent care of it so let's steal it let's uh see if it's unlocked it is let's see if it'll start that'd be even better and it's got auto steer huh we may have to buy this thing hmm will the key work it appears that it will maybe i don't know we're gonna have to wiggle it a little bit well it's on and it's deader than a hammer like dead dead who cares if it's dead though the dealership's closed it's after five o'clock and uh i have jumper cables in my truck we'll start this thing well it's alive it uh fired right up once we got juice to it so we'll go from here i think we'll take it for a little test drive this is a 9350 so it doesn't have the 83 cummins in it i believe it's got an 855 i think but it's about a 310 horsepower tractor if it hasn't been turned up so it does have some hours on it but if i'm just going to use it for tillage and light grain cart work then it'd be great for that plus i already have this auto steer system this easy steer so i'll take this screen out and put it in the magnum since it's a little bit bigger i think that's a 500 and i'll put my 250 in here because what i do with the magnums a little more important than just doing tillage work but it would be nice to have auto steer doing tillage too so if i can buy a tractor that's already got it on it so be it that'd be kind of nice but i will be getting rid of the 93 30 if i get this tractor um i'll just trade it off on it and this has a few more hours on it so we may i'm hoping just do pretty close to straight trade and have a little bit more horsepower on the farm so i don't know i'm gonna look it over and take it for a test drive and see what i think about it it is pretty clean though now this one's about identical to mine big thousand pto four remotes three-point hitch led lights everywhere i mean they're literally at the exact same tractor mine has 38 this has 46's i do like that these are a little bit bigger tires should ride a little bit better i don't know they've got decent tread on them yet i mean it's far from perfect but they'd work i mean i'd say they're 40 50 maybe so i've got a little bit better tread on mine i've got a little bit less hours on mine so if we can do straight trade or pretty close to it i'll probably trade the cab's in good shape except for the tear in the seat here but that's all right we can get that reupholstered let's fire it up see if the auto steer works maybe we really want this to work this is important right here i don't know it's got more hours on it that's the downfall it ran good it drove good the pins are a little bit loose back here they're a little bit more loose than what i feel like mine is but it does have more hours the pins can be replaced but i know it's kind of expensive so i don't know for the right price i might do it but it's gonna have to be the right price we'll see it smells of uh dinosaur bones and rich mahogany in here now that window's still missing i have the new window but i don't trust myself to put it in so the glass shop's supposed to be coming tomorrow they're going to get that in there for me so i figure if i try to install it myself i'm going to be buying two of them instead of just one so i figure it's best that i just let them do that one [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] well i gave it a little bit of wax didn't shine up too bad i should really spend the time and put a few more coats on it but we're gonna call that good for now i like to keep things looking shiny though so that looks a little better than it was got five thousand three hours but that's all right this little five nine cummins has never really been ran hard it's pretty much we used to plant with this tractor i pulled uh i think it was a 12 or 13 foot great planes drill back in the day and uh pulled the john deere 7000 corn planter with it then we got rid of both of those got the 611 kinsey and it pulled that and it's ran augers done hey work but it's never really been worked hard so this tractor ought to last a really long time this is a very very strong motor it's a five nine cummins doesn't have any blow by fires right up runs like a champ i love this tractor personally it's one of my favorite tractors on the farm um i've always kind of wished that it had a cab on it but at the same time i like that it doesn't but i don't know like last year i probably would have sprayed with this one instead of that piece of crap uh 105 horse which uh i think i don't know if i've mentioned it on the channel or not but i got rid of the 105 horse loader tractor and i replaced it with this skid steer um this is a new holland c238 it's got like 15 1600 hours on it um but got a bucket forks and a grapple with it um it's kind of dirty right now i've been messing around in my driveway with it but i need to clean it up now but i love this thing it's heavy enough that it'll pick up everything i need it to pick up and then some that one's for sale it's an 1845 skid steer uh case it's got a hydraulic leak on it right now but well it's on a hose i'll fix that before i sell it to somebody i'm not going to sell it like that but got a fork i got forks a bucket and manure forks for this one so it is for sale i think that it's got like 3 000 hours on it i'm not saying that that's accurate okay i lied it's got 2835 hours on it i don't know that the tack works i'm pretty sure that it does i'm pretty sure that that thing doesn't have many more hours than that um we've never really used it a whole whole lot so i think that was bought new when it came to this farm i think but that would have been in the late 70s early 80s so it's been around a while but uh i mean it runs good i think it leaks a little bit of oil but other than that it's i mean it's a little jumpy but from my understanding it's been a little jumpy since it was new so that's not a not a new thing but uh it's for sale um gonna replace it with this since we're kind of getting out of cattle um i really didn't have any use to have that loader tractor around so i'm down to the 7140 the steiger and the 5230 and then we've got the little new holland tc42 but the the steiger and the magnum are obviously my two field tractors this is my run augers do miscellaneous jobs tractor and the little tc40 basically uh it mows and stuff um i don't do a whole lot with that looks like that tire's getting a little flat yeah it's definitely getting a little flat i'm gonna have to take my uh winter air out of it and put the summer air back in it but uh all we got to do is take this filter off and put the fuel filter back on it and throw our drain plug back in and throw some oil in it so i didn't make too big of a mess this time but i still made a mess because i always do i'm legally not allowed to change oil without uh spilling some of it so there you go that's uh that's kind of a quick little oil change i'm gonna do an oil change on that one as well and uh yeah that's the new skid steer i don't know if i put that on the channel yet or not so uh my chip bag fuel cap zip tied with dirty shop rags is uh finally ready to be replaced by a nice shiny new fuel cap chrome gets you home you know what they say so we will uh take care of this so what happens when you lose your fuel cap while you're fueling up and you realize it while you're like two rounds into the field right after you filled the tractor up at least i didn't go like half the day with it but uh yeah whoops on that one but got a new one so fits like a glove she's a beaut now i got to put the uh breather cap on here because that got broke off this fall so we stuck a bolt in it and it works and it didn't set we we uh yeah i'm not gonna go into detail explaining that we kind of rigged that one up but i got the nude breather cap for it too so we're gonna throw that on there real quick you
