How to start the Honda XR600R XR600

hey everyone hey quick video how to start an xr 600r believe it or not the guy that i just bought the 1988 xr600r from didn't know it had a starting procedure he just thought it was really hard to start this is my 1995. the 88 is the south county honda getting worked on but more people need to know how to do this there's a starting procedure this bike only likes to start on one certain part of the stroke and if you're just kicking it randomly it's going to start randomly so let's do it we're going to find top dead center which is where it gets hard to kick no decompression and then i find top dead center that's hard then i use my decompression lever and i go one past that's it where is the decompression lever it's over here it'll be you know every bike will be around there so i just went one kick pass top dead center no gas let's do it again that's top dead center it's hard i can almost stand on it okay and watch this squeeze it foot one click that's it let go [Music] [Music] randomly look it does start easier with electron right it's random but if you want to do it right one kick find top dead go one pass [Music] that's it okay he says this is very easy hold on i should clean this i couldn't start it and i tried for like half an hour so it's not that easy just saying you have to have long legs look how far the kicker goes so she tries to start on the kickstand what happens is when she reaches all the way down the bike is going over you do with no kickstand and you gotta keep the bike leaned on that left leg the new way i think mana should work you should do it is on the stand this way she doesn't have to worry about the weight of the bike try that way wearing crocs right now yeah but your crocs are in four-wheel drive so oh god this is this is terrible all right we're top dead center it says press the lever reel all right one pass oh my god i did it [Music] great job i did it now do i title this video starting an xr600 or a girl starts xr600 girl starts xr600 all right if i can do it anyone can do it okay smile for a thumbnail wait i'm not wearing makeup you look pretty anyway i don't wait right here smile i don't think i like this that was it see if you can do it again but this time don't let it fall back on you like you did push it onto that kickstand rely on that kickstand and i even started it and crossed that's because what i've said is it's not hard to kick it's you're not pushing against compression you just have this long stroke i mean it's starting from here and it's going all the way down to the ground almost all right so we're top dead pushing the lever in goes one pass almost almost okay we gotta do it again all right [Music] good job right max you know what i gotta say did that she's gonna say i knew it oh i knew she was gonna say oh and here's how you start a regular motorcycle you just press the button yeah so that means i'm gonna erase it while he's away yes uh i totally should just flip monday i fly out to california for a few months to help with fires to help with trees that were damaged from fires somebody has to continue the fast guy slow bikes channel and i think i think that monica can do it now that she can start it right here we go that's all uh we'll keep some uploads going while i'm gone we're gonna let my brother-in-law cash race some he's a champion evo rider my twin brother josh he could raise some we'll make some stuff happen but i race it one day too she's gonna race it for sure
