In the community of bullet journal there are two types of notebooks commonly used one type of thoose notebooks is leather notebooks and another type is the rings notebooks this notebooks come in differents sizes like a4-a5 and a6 the rings notebooks they become very populars in the last months and I have seen that more and more people are using them but the most used is the leather notebook they look like this and the cover is hard the one that i use and i personally recommend the leather notebook because there are more easier to get
and how there is so much delay usually there are cheaper the one that i have is this called “essentials” i got this in amazon in 183 mexican pesos equivalent to 7.50 dollars the bullet journals come with various types of sheets the 3 more used types of sheets are the dotted sheets , squared sheets and the white sheets the lined sheets are not so common is important to found a bullet journal with a good grammage because if you are thinking to use alchol-based markers or
markers that leak a lot of ink
you have to take this into account because or it will be transferred easily many notebooks come with this ribbon that they will help you to mark the page in which you were writing and they have this little elastic to keep it closed and they have a small envelope so you can store things and have them on hand other thing that is so important are the materials no all of you they have all the materials of
the world
I've always said that you don't need expensive materials to do something nice with the materials that you have you can start and little by little you will start a little coleccion , this are all the pens that I have collected over 3 years that i have been doing bullet journal usually the pens i get them at very low prices none of them cost more than 30 pesos (mexican pesos) this to everyone's liking depending on which pen you like to write but personally i recommend the gel pens because the ink is more fluid when you are writing and the ink is more dark is important to found a pen with which you are comfortable You're practically going to use it to write your entire collection and you have to find one that you feel like confident that you will not get tired or the ink does not run well the brush markers are going to be too useful when you are writing in or doing some details not precisely they have to be a marker that have a brush tip itself what I mean is that you can use markers like crayolas super tips that have a aconic tip
with what you can do different types of strokes there are so many marker brands from the most expensive like the mildliners or the cheapest like the crayola super tips you decide which one do you want , This is depending on how you accommodate yourself the most that i recommend are the super tips because their type of tip and for the price that they have is cheap and good is a good relationship between price and quality, although that is a little more difficult to buy another material that will help you a lot for decoration or for give some color to all that you are doing are the washi tape , there are differents sizes and designs and textures, I usually got them from aliexpress and miniso another thing that we can use are pictures I have seen a lot of people that use draws to decorate their journals i prefer pictures because are more easy to manage and decorate you can get your pictures from penpals or internet sticker are everywhere I always see sticker on bullet journal that are more decorated but I try to use stickers
that looks like my style you can ake your own sticker, it can be glossy, matte or transparent i make my own stickers o I got them from my penpals and something that can´t be missed are those tools that help journaling i use this ones: ruler, scissors, stamps , eraser, and my phomemo printer and something that I use always is my cutter define your style on the bullte journal community are 2 main styles: minimalist and maximalist you don't have to stick to just one style,
you can combine both or just use one personally I use just one but sometimes
I combine some but the style that I use is the minimalist the objective of this is to find the style that you like the most don´t be afraid to fail and try new things , no one born knowing everything it takes time and practice to achieve what we want here i show you an example of how i used to do my bullet journal 3 years ago I beging in this community knowing literally nothing, i used videos and persons as reference to tell the truth the style I used to have I don't like at all now and it's very different from what I have now it took me a while to figure out the style I have today do not be discouraged and be encouraged to try it a good way to get inspiration is by pinterest or instagram I like to search more on pinterest because there are more options Here you can go looking for the style that catches your attention the most
