HOW TO SHIP YOUR ORDERS WITHOUT LEAVING THE HOUSE//SHIPPING TIPS

[Music] no man welcome you to girl marson-knight and i'm back with another video if you are new here welcome to my channel if you are not new that welcome back to my channel and before we get started make sure you get that subscribe button ok so today's video I'm going to be showing you guys how I package and ship my orders from home I can do this without having to leave the comfort of my house which is the biggest especially in this virus you wanna leave the house is little time just possible and even not during the virus like nobody want to be carrying all these packages to the post office ok so I'm not sure why how I packaged on my orders and how I shipped them without leaving my house so you live again a lot of questions on how to pack how to ship orders like how to get website and all that other stuff so I thought I make a video and show you guys how I packaged and shipped my orders you do not have to shoot your orders exactly how I do lose some people just pack using my home on mine and go to the post office and pay for him which is fine and some people you know want to ship them home like I do so I thought I make it informational isn't this video for you guys and show y'all the behind the scenes magic so today I have about 20 something orders to fulfill and yet so today I dropped my stack sweatpants may be a really really really good I didn't think they would do that good to be honest but yeah they were a really big hit and I'm super super happy and I say next time I get a lot of orders I was gonna do a video on how I package my orders in how I ship them yeah and before I get started make sure you visit my website at www.tanahoy.com pletely so out of all my stuff so you might be able to find something that you like on there ok so if you do not know I do shop afire as my website provider if you are just starting the website or already have a website looking for a new provider I do recommend Shopify and no this is not paid promotion I just love Shopify because so easy to use and you can really keep track with everything on Shopify yeah I do your Shopify right now I'm on my homepage and I'm gonna go right here you can see it can't zoom in I'm gonna go right there on the side and click orders so as you can see the yellow little thing right there shows that the order is unfulfilled and so I have a lot of orders that I need to fulfill this is the first order from today that I have to fulfill and as you can see it have a lot to do not sure how much I wanna show me okay so I have 22 orders to fulfill so that's a lot not too too much but it's a lot so yeah let's get started so I'm gonna start I always start with the order at the bottom because that's the first order and I was placed so I'm gonna go ahead and click on that order and let y'all I'm gonna try I'm sorry if I'm not showing what you need to see I don't want to show people address and stuff and phone numbers so but so right here it shows the item that they ordered and it shows me what they paid how much they paid for shipping and basically the total of their order so I'm gonna go ahead and click this button right here that says create shipping label so it shows me the person's address and it shows me what they ordered again so first why my dues I'm going to go ahead and grab the item that they order so as you can see this person ordered the thick pant in black in the medium I'm gonna go over here and go this is where I keep all of my inventory I don't have a lot right now as you can see but this is where I keep everything so she ordered a medium in black so I'm gonna go and the small and medium drawer so yeah a bit like my black on this side three on this side small at the top two mediums at the bottom and this is same on my drawers have black large here and I'm gonna go over here to my little storage unit where I'm gonna grab my yeah I got these off Amazon I got I think a 200 pack for about $20 or less so yeah I do recommend using these so I'm gonna set that over here and I also just got some thank you cards and I'm not gonna show you how to hold theme because it has a discount code on it you had the purchase to get that discount code so I have some thank you cards right over there okay yeah so now I'm just gonna go ahead and put everything in the package so yeah after I grab the item I go back and double check and make sure that it's the item that I ordered because sometimes you know you forget things and there's something I want to try your hardest to make sure everything is perfect so I'm just I just open the bag and move it and I'm gonna sit Thank You par in there get all the arrows so this is what it looks like I thought its heart and I fold it in half so it'll fit into the memory easier by the way y'all this is just a regular holy Miller they do have other colleagues they have buh buhbuh members and those are kind of have like bubble wrap linemen inside these are the Bubba members or USPS they are free but you do have to pay for Priority Mail shipping if you using this type of Miller so that's why I'm not using this because I don't want to pay that much for shipping when I could pay a cheaper amount for shipping and use pieces and also they do so if you do want the level Miller's they had those on Amazon and yeah you can get them for cheap and you won't have to pay for Priority Mail because it's not a party mail Miller and I'm gonna peel this silver thing off right here and it opens up the sticky part stuff I'm gonna just fold it over to where the items looks like these clothes so now that I have this in the package I'm going to go ahead and weigh how much the package is because depending on the weight of the package you may have to pay a little more or a little less for shipping and you know I got this scale from Amazon I think it was about $20 oh yeah and I looked at this part up so I could pop up the package I said Elena flat because they just lay her off the edges then that part of the package will give way if that makes sense I prop it up on there anyways I don't know if you can see it but it weighs 10 ounces so I'm going to go ahead and Shopify and it has a section where you put in the weight so I'm going to put in actually it weighs nine point eight ounces after it balanced out so I'm in plenty of nine point eight ounces and I'm get a little closer if y'all can see it gives you different shipping options you can shape with USPS UPS you can get Priority Mail express next day air you know they give you all these different options but what I should either ship first class or I've shipped Priority Mail it shows you if it includes the tracking if it includes insurance I'm gonna go with the first-class package which is 393 and it takes about two business days but since the coronavirus you know shipping has been slowed down so I put I always tell my customers two to four business days because a lot of shipments have been delayed due to the virus my customer paid $4.99 for us first-class shipping and I'm gonna pay 393 for the shipping so basically that leaves me an extra dollar and the extra dollars I use that to buy like the Poli mailers or the thank-you cards and things of that nature so yeah when you make your shipping prices you always want to include all the things that you you know spend for shipping so a few ship with boxes you want to include the price of the box with your shipping price along with the amount of the you know shipping label and yes you have to buy the shipping labels they are not free you have to pay that's how you pay for the ship so I had the first-class package I'm gonna go ahead and click this button right here that says buy one shipping label so I did with y'all back because it is showing the address and I don't want try to see my customers address so I am going to be using my demo label printer which is right over here I got this off Amazon it is a thermal printer and it prints your labels off like like that instead of you have been so you know use a regular printer in their happiness cut it out and tape it over there every reprints with a sticky back and you just okay so the format for my shipping lane who is a 4x6 inch label so I want to make sure that's the format when I print my shipping label and you do have to plug in the label with the wall in the wall and you also have to plug it into your laptop I think you can use it um I think you can connect it with your phone I've never done it with my phone though I find it easier I probably find it easier because I've never done it I just do it on my laptop so here I'm gonna click the print button and print my label and as you can see it's coming out right over there tell me got my little finger okay tear it off it's on this little sticker paper and I'm tearing the sticker off of the pepper and just almost slap it on through the package now and this is how it looks after it's been packaged okay you know it looks all cute yeah that's another reason why I chose to do the blue patty members because I was tired of the you know the regular Priority Mail anyway they give my business enough like I want with somebody get a package for me I want them to be like oh that's cute or oh I got my package from sorry not because anybody can use these anybody's those two it's not as common as these so I'll movies when I have to I rather use those construed to and I like compact adjust I don't like this you know okay so now that I have the food my first order I'm going to go ahead and watch the next one so I'm gonna go back to orders okay and I'm gonna go to the next order that has not been fulfilled and she got the spec paid in black and then I am my thank-you card and I holy minute so I'm gonna make sure that's the way she wanted black light and she paid for $1.99 shipping you know you know okay you know what go ahead and put the a cue card inside the bag oh yeah by the way I made these myself I designed them in order to I think I ordered them I ordered them on Lisa pret and you know I designed them on camera I think but y'all is really not that hard I thought it was hard I used to pay people to design my stuff but you know I'm learning how to doing this so if y'all want me to show you how I make them let me know in the comments just put it inside the package turns off you know these can get irritated just look you think I was stuck already not even close here so yeah it sometimes I have to go back over move it out absolutely so I'm gonna go ahead and click on create shipping labels and I'm going to go ahead and weigh my package right here yeah I got these Miller's off Amazon I got this II lost Emma's on my mom got my label printed off Amazon you know anytime just have y'all if you didn't know now you know so I weighs about ten point two I would seize so I'm gonna go ahead and go and put this into the system once you put in how much it weighs they shows you the available shipping options she paid $4.99 so I'm gonna go ahead and buy the first-class package again cuz that's when she select it at checkout so yeah I do have to pay for the labels and next I really do add up y'all cuz with Shopify those it builds room like at a certain time in a month so my plan is $30 a month and then also you had to pay for all the shipping labels like the shipping like they don't charge you right then for the letters they put it with your bill so yeah that will be high so I'm gonna go ahead and print the shipping label and it's gonna come out over there and tear it off the bag and lay down there so there it is after it's thin you know so I'm gonna go ahead and keep repeating those steps it does get really repetitive especially when you have a lot of orders but you know I like this slide one of my favorite parts I love to package my orders it gives me so excited but just speed up this part because I've already showed y'all all the steps but once I did like a different item or two items I'll show you [Music] okay this item has I mean this order has two items so I'm gonna go ahead and show you how well packaged one what two items in this ready to train and I will that's why I really like the party builders because they have a lot of rules in the bully news and we're clothing yeah polymers like this better with clothing items if you do have items that need bubble mind then I've been recommending doubling melons there's nothing wrong a chain is also frozen tuna but I just find using easy to use ring type of meat or days for clothing so this one since it has two items a little way a little bit more so this way is fifteen point seven ounces so go ahead and create the shipping label so yes is this way is fifteen point seven ellipses the shipping is five dollars it forces the customer only pay $4.99 so as you can see I'm missing out on about five which is really no big deal for me but that just goes to show you like the more the package weighs the more you will pay for shipping so if you are shipping stuff that weighs a lot make sure you charge how much you need to charge for shipping cuz you don't want to lose out money try to please everybody for your super prices so I'm go ahead and buy the label god be so happy when I do my order I really appreciate all the support I just be so happy I'll be ready to cry see ya I must back up [Music] this is my last order and it is a pair of the stacked pants and great large [Music] shipping label now I'm going to go and select this shipping and by the shipping item yeah I'm not winging it because I have already put in the weight of the pants and the package so Shopify has already cut through to how much it weighs because I know the extra room [Music] and it's coming out right over here okay so now I'm gonna show y'all that I have in the box so yeah a lot of hard work y'all okay y'all so know it's time for me to show you how I my orders for home I have all these packages as you see and I do not have to leave my house so I'm gonna show you how I do it so you can do it too so I'm going to USPS calm and I'm going to sign into my account I yeah you have to have account some requests that pick up cuz that's what I'm doing in order to have my packages shipped without me leaving house I'm going to own schedule a pickup for the mailman or a lady to pick up the items for my house go to mail and then go to schedule or pickup so all my information is already saved and you're gonna go ahead and scroll down and click check availability but it's where should we pick up your packages and I already have my address and information at that filled in at that step and the next step is where will you leave your packages so depending on like what type of house you live in you can leave your packages in the mail box on the porch at the back door side door front door you can have them knock on the door if you don't feel comfortable with leaving your packages on your porch and you know if you're at a business you to leave it in the office mail room or other so I'm gonna leave my stuff on my porch so the mail person can get it no you can um add additional instructions but I don't have any additional instructions just you know I'm off the porch and step three is when should we schedule your pick up you can choose a time so you can pick a specific time which is $24 per pickup so I do not want to pick a specific time I'm going to pick up during regular mail delivery so the regular time that somebody would I mean the mail person would bring our mail is at the same time that they're gonna pick up my packages so these shows you all the dates available you can see here today's the 18th so I can give my packages picked up on the 19th that's not really a big deal and yeah so they pick up Monday through Saturday so you can pick it up get your packages picked up any day except for Sunday okay and now step four is asking how many packages are we picking up so it's gonna actually specifically how many Priority Mail express packages you have how many party mail packages you have how many first-class packages mass returns international packages or other so I'm going to go ahead and count how many of each I had cuz I don't remember top so I have 20 first-class packages and for Priority Mail packages all right I'm sorry y'all my phone will cut off because I'm running out of storage but as you can see after I insert the amount of packages I had for each type I just agree to the terms and I entered I mean clicked on scheduled pickup and boom my pickup has been scheduled and they will be here tomorrow to pick up my order so I'm gonna show y'all yeah here's the packaging these boxes so yeah now we just wait for them to come get them okay always 221 p.m. and the mail was supposed to be here like two hours ago and they just not get in here so she's gonna come pick up the packages hopefully or he yep he's parking see out the window is it gonna focus yup he backing in the driveway he's gonna come pick up my package packages so here's the man picking up the packages taking this tree yep you gotta scan them and get them in the system oh no I look like you got a little attitude mm-hm it's okay oh yeah you got a scanner one by one alright y'all so my boxes I mean my packages are officially in the post offices possession leaving my house as y'all see I did not have to leave my house at all so sheep off my packages and the shipping time is the same as it would be if I would drop them off at the post office so it is not later anything due to me having them picked up so I do recommend you do if you have a lot of packages or even if you don't just schedule it will pick up from your house or pushing on mailbox because you don't have to leave the house easy as that so yeah that's the end of my video and thanks for
