How to set up remote start on Mercedes Me app

although my name is justin also known as the bowtie tech guy and today i'm going to be showing you how to pair your remote starter for your mercedes me up first thing when he was elected mercedes me up open it up here and we're gonna do is we're gonna click the register icon which is right underneath the the login option what we're gonna do is run into our first name last name that was gonna ask you to enter your email address and verify your email address [Music] you [Music] after we finish retyping in her email gesture and ask you to look at the image below and verify what characters are down there to make sure you're not a robot if you type them in you're gonna click I have read to the Duke and agree to the terms and conditions and then click Submit at the bottom it's gonna then tell you that you what you were able to do is go to your email address that you just registered and verify that your email address is really you so what you're gonna do is back out of the app now and go over to your mail open that up under your mail here what you're going to do is you're gonna keep on refreshing until mercedes-benz add a mus a registration is there select it to open it up and you're gonna see a blue link in the description for complete registrations you're going to go ahead and select that you guys can open up and what you're gonna do here is you're going to be making a password basically and you'll see at the bottom there there's some red boxes there the whole purpose of the box is to make sure that you fulfill all the requirements for your Mercedes me passcode so what you want to do is you want to type in a passcode and as you're typing in the passcode here you could see the the requirement boxes are being eliminated and you had to repeat the passcode and when you're done you're gonna click Save at the bottom [Music] what you want to do next click the blue continue box and you could back out of this app now and go back over to the Mercedes me up because now we're going to be logging into the app let's go ahead and back up through Sadie's me up and then we're gonna click login and the big blue box at the top this time we're gonna type in our email address from before and then we're gonna type in the password that we just made and then I recommend checking the box stay logged in for 120 days I'll wait out to keep on entering this in every single time you want to access the app just make sure you remember your a passcode here because you'll need to use it and about 4 months here now select the blue login button here and it's going to open up for us here to uh secure we log is in so now we'll select out in my case I'm gonna use logon using touch ID or you could always set up a passcode if you don't feel like the touch ID is for you or your phone doesn't support it and then when you select the blue box here what all you have to do is touch the finger that she used to login to your phone to your touch pad and it will automatically set you up here so I'll select the ok button and then we're gonna click the blue get started at the bottom here that way we get our vehicle to the Mercedes Mia now we're gonna have the option either click the blue scan now button to scan our vehicle's VIN number into Mercedes me or click the manual entry at the bottom which I'm gonna do then using enter your seventeen digit VIN and then make sure it's correct you know the option to click a blue continue button is gonna pop up on the screen [Music] so now we're gonna click that blue continue button make sure it the number is correct for the vehicle that we entered then we're gonna have the option to either enter the VIN again or click the blue continue button this case will click the blue continue button you went after the vehicle owners last name and click continue and success our vehicle has been added the next thing we're going to do is enter our embrace account number and PIN and click the blue continue button at the bottom shall be cutting from this video nekron you get the option to verify our account by either text message or email in this case I chose text message and then click the blue continue button at the bottom then you're going to type in a verification code that you're going to get emailed or text it to you when we finally get our KOAT exit to us we'll be typing that code in and then click netbook continue button at the bottom and success our embrace account is now connected to our Mercedes me up it's gonna give you the option to enable location services which I recommend to get the most out of your Mercedes me up they don't give you the option to set whatever preferred dealer you wish so you'd always choose a different one it picks the closest one based upon your current location next Mercedes me is going to give you an overview of the current car you selected letting you know if remember your subscription is active in some other goodies there all click the blue get started button now this is one Mercedes me is going to look like every single time you walk into the app if you're most start on the left lock and unlock in the middle and send the Benz on the far right so for the purpose of this exercise we're gonna be clicking on the remote start button on the far left it's gonna bring you to this screen right here and then all you can do is hit the symbol right in the dead center it's going to send a signal out to start your vehicle it takes a few minutes the first time once the vehicle starts is going to give you a count down the bottom left-hand corners right from 10 minutes and is going to tell you the interior temperature on the far right if it doesn't work it's gonna give you an error message and tell you what the error is in the middle you also have the lock and unlock feature in the middle we were able to lock and unlock your door if your vehicle is not locked and that's it that's a set up the remote start 3 her Mercedes me up if this video helped you out in any
