how to set Google photos as your default gallery app hi everyone welcome back to our channel in today's video I'll guide you on how you can set your Google photos as your default gallery app so make sure to watch the video till the end now Android does give you the option to set a specific app as a default app such as a default launcher default call apps default messaging app and so on and similarly you can also get the default gallery app and to do this all you have to do is simply open up settings on your phone once you open up settings depending upon whichever phone you're using you want to Simply go to the option known as apps as you can find it here and then just tap on it once you tap on apps here you'll find default apps now most likely over here you might be able to find the option of gallery but in case you don't I also have an alternative solution now normally under the default app section if you have a default gallery app option to choose that's very very good you can set Google photos in that otherwise what I'd recommend you do is to Simply open up your camera application right and then once you open up your camera application I just wanted to basically take a normal photo as you were once you take a normal photo just go ahead and try to view that photo when you try to view that photo It'll ask you complete action using and it will show you all of the gallery apps that are actually installed on your phone so whenever you're trying to open the file it will ask you how do you want to open it here just select photos and then here you just want to select always so when you select always next time whenever you open up any type of pictures and so on it is going to open it up in the Google photos application now you can also try to open it up from the file manager application and when you try to open it up from a file manager app you can see this option over here I'll just select it and then it will open up in Google photos as well and this way you can set Google photos as a default gallery app first method I showed you if that doesn't work just try to find out the second method as well if you have got any more questions feel free to leave them down thank you very much for watching and see you in the next video
