what's up guys today I'm gonna be showing how to ride a dirt bike especially one with a clutch mainly so we're gonna go through all the parts and stuff first then I'm gonna show you exactly how to get going and how to be able to ride your bike so to start off you have your clutch right here Killswitch electric start if you have one you have your throttle tube right here that controls how fast you go you have your brake lever right there you have a shift lever and right there is your brake lever and right here is your kick start if you have one so what you're gonna do when you first start is you're either gonna turn your bike on with electric start which is what I'm gonna do or you can start with a kick start which I have both so I'm just gonna do electric start cuz it's easier but um that's what we're gonna do here in a bit okay when you get your bike started you're going to go in the clutch push your shift lever down and you'll hear it going to first okay so now you can't let out this clutch or else it's just gonna shut off the bike it's gonna stall out so what you're gonna do you're gonna take your throttle tube you're gonna give it about I don't know like 1/8 of a turn like you'll be able to hear it this is a two-stroke so depending on what you're riding you might be able to go off of what mine sounds like but I'd say twist your hand probably I don't know here I'm just gonna do it like this probably like right about there just to where you see earth starting to rev up a little bit when you do that you're gonna hold it there and you're gonna release the clutch slowly and when you get to like right there it'll start to go and grab and you'll feel the bike start to take off you just want to hold it there for a little bit for like a few seconds and when you get going you want to let it off all the way so I'm gonna go ahead and show you this while the bike is on and then we'll get through shifting and down shifting and everything else so now you can hear the bike started so I'm just wrapping it up a little bit make sure it's all warmed up so I'm going to pull the clutch in shift it down into first and then I'm gonna give it like this much gas and slowly let out the clutch now I'm holding it there now I'm gonna let it all the way out and there we're going you can go around you can stay in first her as long as you want as long as you don't have the bike up too high and you're good to go I'm not touching the clutch or anything yet so now that you're going whenever you want to come to a stop just pull the clutch in and start grabbing your brakes okay so that's all you have to do to stop describe your brakes you want to shut the bike back off you can just shut it off or I like to shift it in a neutral like go the clutch and then push the co switch like that so now the bikes off you're not going nowhere okay now we're gonna work on shifting so whenever you're going and you're in first and you're wrapping the bike up you're starting to go a little bit faster you can hear the engine start and a roar a little bit more like you can just hear it getting louder so basically when you start feeling like you need to shift up you need to pull the clutch in and you want to let off the gas for a second shift up so you pull up on the shift lever just once and then you get back on the gas and let go the clutch at the same time so you don't have to let off the gas all the way just give it like just let off a little bit so it goes in smoother that's all you do for every gear second third whenever you're going from first to second make sure you really click it up hard because you will hit neutral now we're going to show you shifting real quick so I'm going to go ahead and put in first I'm going to do the normal takeoff [Music] and now when I get going it's getting louder pull the clutch and let off the gas shift off so again when I get going getting louder shift up shift off and all I had to do was go into third there and when we come to stop grab the clutch pulling your brake shift it into neutral and pull the kill switch so there you go that's how you shift up we're going to go into another important step which is gonna be down shifting when you're down shifting you're gonna hear your bike start to go down in the RPMs and it's gonna stutter a little little bit so basically when you start to hear that you're gonna go ahead and you're just gonna hold on the gas or do whatever you're doing you know what the gas doesn't matter just don't keep revving it up if you're gonna downshift so I usually just pretty much let off the gas kind of and I pull in the clutch put it down and then just continue what I'm doing let out the clutch again not much to it non shifting is probably the easiest part honestly because you don't have to be doing anything but you want to make sure you're not down shifting when you don't need to because you can like raise the RPMs real high and you don't want to use engine braking a lot so I'm gonna go ahead and show you this in action so we're taking off like normal we're going or shifting off and now we're gonna come up here and we want to turn so you hear the engine getting quieter and then just pulling the clutch and downshift just like that so again we're going up and we need to shift now we want to make another turn so we're gonna hit the brakes a little bit and pull in the clutch and shift down and that's all you got to do now we're back in the first now we can come back into a stop and there you go so I'm gonna go ahead and do one test row and see how high of a gear I can get in in this field it is a small field but just to make this video a little bit more interesting show you the whole thing in action then then I'm gonna end this video off and hopefully it helped you guys out a lot so here we go turning the bike on give it a little bit of gas chip put it in first give it some gas let go the clutch slowly when I come up to the top of the field just shift it into second so we're coming all the way up here we've got a dock we're making the turn and now there you go I believe I'm in fourth I kinda lost track and then we just oh no maybe I was in fifth I don't even know I lost track so fast and you'll do that it's not hard to lose track what gear you're in and then if you're coming into a stop real quick just pull in the clutch and shift all the way down see there I wasn't in neutral so it shut the bike off but there you guys go that's basically how you do everything so I'm gonna go ahead and end the city off here please subscribe and like the video if you enjoyed and it helped you out and I have many other riding videos and everything else that you can think of fishing hunting you know so go ahead and hit that big red subscribe button you won't be
