How to replace an impeller in a mercruiser engine

i'm going to show you how to replace the impeller on the 5.7 liter mirror cruiser uh as bravo 3 but the bravo 3 outright doesn't have a impaired like some other dries do this one only has one uh it's right below the engine first thing you want to do you want to lose the belt all right remove the two hoses and make sure you get them back on the right spot i remove the five bolts [Music] remove the plastic housing then remove the work plate you don't have to replace the workplace all the time let's just show some signs aware like this one and one of the problems um people have with the impeller is how to fit it in the housing so the way i do it uh is uh first i use a little bit of dish soap put it inside the housing and then i'll use sip types uh the bigger they're better but i only have this little one but they that will do the trick the key is to uh keep closing the impeller as you type the the zip ties you make you know adjust the zip tie it will fit right in once you get it close enough uh then once you get it like a half an inch in uh all you got to do is uh cut the zip tie and just push it push all the way in and give it a little twist just to push it all the way in there you have it wasn't really bad actually it was pretty easy with the sleep types if you bought the whole kit there's a o-ring seal let's replace that one too me install the work plate and then the housing so let's reinstall the belt and then the water hoses and that that will be all the whole process takes about an hour hour and a half
