How To REMOVE Background Noise In Audacity - Easy Guide

how to remove background noise in your microphone audio recordings using audacity a free audio editing software so here's an audio clip of my background noise that I've game boosted so we can hear it as a Baseline and then I'll show you a before and after so I'll play for a couple seconds so as you can hear that is a lot of static noise in the background and if your mic sounds anything like that I'll show you how to remove it from your recording so what we're going to do is take any part of our clip since it's the same audio and I'm going to click and drag a couple of seconds on this timeline because this is going to be our noise profile for the noise removal so from here I'm going to go up to the effects Tab and I'm going to select noise removal and repair and then we're going to go to noise reduction now from here we're going to select get noise profile so it's taken a profile of this noise then what I'm going to do is to select the entire clip so I'm going to D double click on this audio clip then we're going to go back up to effect we're going to scroll down and select noise removal and repair and we're going to go to noise reduction again now you can customize how much noise reduction you want and the sensitivity and frequency but do bear in mind if you go overboard it can cause your vocals to start clipping so do bear that in mind you can also preview what it's going to sound like with the current settings I'm just going to leave it as is because I know it's going to work and then I'm going to press okay now you'll see all of that background noise is gone so now let's play an example of before and after so as you could hear audacity did a great job of removing all that background static noise so if this video was helpful like And subscribe and we'll see you in the next one
