How to Remove a Fence Post in under 5 minutes...Easy

so today I'm going to be demonstrating how I remove cemented metal fence posts out of the ground this is the easiest method that I know of so if you'll come closer so essentially what I have is a pilot Jack and I constructed a frame here for the hi-lift jack so on each side is just some scrap wood a 2x4 a 2x3 or any scrap wood you have laying around similar dimensions will do the same job and so I just drilled a large hole through each side of the boards and put a bolt through each board and into the hi-lift jack and down here I have just placed a cross board to add some stability while I'm pulling the jack out of it or pulling the cemented fence post out of the ground so in order to gain some purchase to be able to pull this out we're going to use some traditional standard hardware this is actually for a gate to post latch you could use other hardware as well this is just what I use now that we have the hardware on there nice and snug we are going to attach a chain so you will need a chain for this and wrap it around the hardware and there we're going to use a carabiner this is just a carabiner that has a capacity of about 200 pounds we're going to attach it to our fence to our chain [Music] and then we're going to tighten the champ and I like to keep the chain in between these two bolts that are here that way it lifts better okay and it's important to make sure the foot of the jack is not on top of the cemented portion here we're going to pull it back just a little bit and we're going to go ahead and pull it out of the ground [Music] so you can see it's starting to pull the cement distortion out of the ground already nice and easy no effort here and that's how I easily remove a cemented metal fence post out of the ground
