How to Recreate Runway Looks From Fendi, Balmain, and Chanel.

[Music] hello and welcome to mm design my name is maria and today i am going to show you guys how to recreate how to take inspiration from the runways and interpret into kind of your own style or at least try to do something new today i'm going to be covering a few fall 2021 winter 2022 shows uh and trying to recreate some of the outfits i just wanted to thank you guys for the warm birthday wishes from the last video it was so nice and i still get birthday wishes so it feels like i have not a birthday but more like a birthday month which is amazing and all the leos deserve a birthday month okay in case you were hoping to find more like what's trendy and such i do have videos about that and you can find them listed down below but today i am hoping to inspire somebody to first shop your own closet because it's the most sustainable way of fashion wear what you already have and try to just bring it a new life to it you know find a different way how to wear it so in this video i'm going to be covering sandy belmont and chanel let's get started let's start with fendi the entire show was very i wouldn't say down to earth all the colors were very natural nudes browns a little bit of white here and there so very mature and very classy from the vogue what was england to rome said jones of couture and this is england in rome but where exactly do you start with fendi like rome itself this house bristols with moments of design historical landmarks and the willingly beautiful vistas also like chrome itself fendi wasn't built in a day wisely jones neither committed himself to reflecting every aspect of fendi's story nor contain himself narrowly defined elements of it which is very limiting instead he allowed the collection to unfold for the watcher as the city unfolds for the visitor we kind of get that gist of reflecting back to what fendi was that which is why we have a lot of furs in the show a lot of handbags so let's just get started so the first look i tried to recreate was this kind of an off shoulder skin tight dress or body con dress long sleeve here we have some knee high boots and a little bag i think it's one of their newer fendi bag that has the the metal bracket lips in a form of like a f and then it has a bag well probably i'm inserting photos here so i don't need to explain everything a few nice accessories like a chain i believe she has some hair accessories too so the first thing that you do while breaking up the look you just need to look at every separate thing you don't need to look at entire things like i don't have i don't have this in my closet if you have only like one thing out of there you can substitute the rest with something else that's similar maybe it's a similar color maybe you have a top like this that's off shoulders and you can have a similar color skirt don't strive to copy the entire image to the dot maybe you'll just love the hair from it try out the hair here is what happened so i have this dress that has kind of a slooping neckline and i really don't like it's not really flattering for me it's quite old you know that neckline is pretty old so i just kind of stretch it and put it over my shoulders i loved the result i would have never really thought to do that if i didn't try to copy this outfit just because i felt like this the color of the dress matched uh just like the nudeness of it and just the earth tones and the fact it was long sleeve so yes i don't have the knee-high boost that they had they have kind of more of a structured very classy knee-high boots my calves are just too big for any any kind of those very kind of a um horseback riding kind of boot so i have these little nude pattern leather shoes i also wear my hair a little bit sleeked back and i just have kind of a nude bag purse with me also of course the little accessories that's what makes the outfit come together uh so far i really like this outfit and i would definitely wear it somewhere maybe even to work with a little blazer let's move on to the second outfit so here we can see a cropped sweater with a little bit of a color in there like a little turtleneck we see very high-waisted pants in the new like a like a sandy color and some pair of high heels with kind of a tote bag under the model's arm i don't didn't really have exactly the same things as i mentioned before but i kind of thought that this is somewhat of a great copy so instead of the purse the model had to be the like an animal print a snake skin print i put that print into the shoes i just have a kind of a burgundy muted purse under my arm this time i have more of a mustard color sweater which i think was a little bit cropped but i just tucked in the end underneath my bra strap so it made it a little bit shorter so there is a little bit of a skin break between my skirt and my sweater yes not pants but a skirt but in a very similar color so of all the nudes i don't have pants like this you guys but i do have a skirt like that so substituting things like this is a must so the next outfit that i tried to recreate was this more of a darker brown uh colors leather motor jacket or is it a kind of a pilot jacket a little bit of a cropped one we see a turtleneck cropped a knee-high boot and a skirt and once again a purse in the snakeskin variety okay so i kind of almost didn't have anything like that so i just decided to be inspired by the color scheme i have a great turtleneck i decided not to crop it just because the pants that i'm wearing a little bit lower on my waistline that i prefer the jacket over top is more like a military jacket but it had like the same brown like a greenish brown that i felt that it belonged there once again i'm having the same bag underneath my arm and having more of like a chunky brown knee high boot this is the only knee high boot that fits my calf so yes uh i think once again i'm wearing the same earrings um and i feel like this kind of has the same feeling of the runaway show but this is not the winner for me let's just say that and last outfit from fendi which is my most favorite i think from all of them that i have tried was this uh trench coat moment with a knitted bralette a pair of cool sunglasses a few layered necklaces and a high-waisted trouser and kind of all all of those earthy tones once again at that point i didn't have a trench coat which i know i do i found one at a thrift store and i'm very excited about it so i decided to substitute it with a oversized blazer also thrifted the same pans as the previous outfit and put on a little bralette underneath and i have the layered chains the model there had like high heels now i wouldn't say they're super chunky but this is i felt this was the most appropriate ones that i had which are kind of super chunky but i feel like it fit i wish my pants were a little bit longer i found these amazing sunglasses that just fit the aesthetic so well i love this outfit would definitely wear it to a casual something maybe like a little lunch or maybe a little shopping spree all right guys let's move on to belmont if you're enjoying this content so far please consider to like this video and latex you know can it kind of just just miss the sex appeal of it for me to understand this show a little bit better i'm just gonna once again read a little bit from the vogue a runaway site that talked about bulma show i don't know where we're going said oliver roasting before the scheduled streaming of his this show but i know that we are going somewhere the point is not the destination but the actual going the journey the leaving the escape routing was talking about this show's format and the collection in it like any truly tuned in fashion a proposal however this message harmonized with the wider truth the 12 months behind us have made the prospect of carefree travel seem deliciously enticing in australia and taiwan airlines have even been running sold out flights to nowhere round trips taken just for the thrill of it shot in the carbon hanger at airport where the accessories included neck pillow earrings and handbags paper planes suitcase charms and a working compass pendants anyways so as you can tell that this was very aviation inspired runway and we see futuristic aspect of it to it becoming more and more futuristic with the metallics and the futuristic kind of outerwear where it takes us outer space so the first outfit that i tried was this kind of a gold knit shirt with more of like a lower rise wider pant with a combat boot and green here and a little bag with some chains on the hips i have to say that this was not my favorite look or favorite show like i was excited to do it but it just didn't work out for me as well as i expected it to so i do have kind of a golder golden color top with a little bit of a floral mesh on top i kind of have all of the things but they just don't click for me maybe it's just my body type maybe i needed to have something more lower eyes but yes okay you can see i'm wearing a few chains like on my hips i have a little bag i went for a white boot instead of like i don't have a green bean so let's just say that but i felt like it was the one that fit better i'm not the biggest fan of this i probably would not go anywhere i think it's the top i would probably substitute the top the second outfit here we see the neck pillows as earrings i didn't realize that that was that until i read a little bit about the show sometimes you know it's a little bit like of a ah moment when you see the show and you're like okay but then when you read about it and it opens you up to a new world and then you get it it's like a light bulb it goes striped long sleeve top we have kind of a denim a skinny jean maybe and over top is kind of like a little skirt moment denim with a very high waisted like a very tall belt a accent shoe an accent bag so here is what i came up with i have this striped shirt i know it's not the same i try to go for the my largest earrings that i own i know it's a flower doesn't really sit there but it's okay my heels are red and i just have a black purse i just wanted the heels to be the only accent color i just put on my jeans which are a little bit of a wider fit and i have a kind of a longer a denim dress that i just belted and kind of just left it kind of hanging done up a few buttons so it gives that illusion of a skirt uh it gives more volume to the hips which is amazing if you have maybe a reverse triangle shape just having that volume there um i quite like this outfit i would probably go to a boat like this or where else would i like maybe on um having a little lunch on the pier like an ocean view something nautical there and that shirt is actually a russian navy shirt that they wear while working anyways okay now we're taking outer space you guys and this is the most hilarious outfit that i've tried in this video so i'm a little bit embarrassed i was so embarrassed to walk out to my kids or just like what are you wearing mom anyways so you can see that we have all red outfit we have a balaclava we have red sunglasses we have this oversized red jacket with some red pants a belt and a like a metallic and a red shoe i don't have a red balaclava so i just took a turtleneck and just like left it around oh my god oh my gosh it's so embarrassing um i like this outfit if only i didn't have you know the turtleneck around my head like that so yes to the outfit was the turtleneck being like a normal turtleneck um but yes i just have a turtleneck as i mentioned a red pair of sunglasses a red purse a red blazer like a silky blazer a red pair of pants a red shoe very nice very very monochromatic i have the buttons on the blazer ha are gold so i feel like that pulls it in my purse also has little gold accents in there too all right you guys let's move on to chanel show so here is a little insert from the vogue runway after years of epic chanel shows spectacles in the vast grand palace now closed for renovation the brand's artistic director virgin villard felt that the time was right for totally different ambience to showcase her playful coco niche collection i wanted to show a small place a club veered explained during a zoom preview i don't like a bigger rave venue i prefer that kind of a place that is more intimate carl was always telling me about the show he's staged in the 70s with the girls getting dressed on their own in the restaurant in paris so the first look that we see is this kind of a little bit of an animal print corset style top with a little skirt the start of furry boots layered chanel pearl necklaces if we just break those things up i took a base of a corset type bostier and a little bit of a leather skirt a moment here i have these uggs uh from my sister which are very furry indeed and then i just topped it off with accessories such as a little bracelet with pearl things layered pearl necklaces and some pearl earrings as well how do i feel about this outfit i don't know i think it's a little bit too revealing for me i would prefer the skirt to be a longer maybe the the boots just just throw me off i don't know what to say actually i've read that those furry things were removable in the chanel shoes revealing more like a classical shoe underneath i didn't see those on the runway but um i can't say that i love this outfit okay moving on to the second outfit they have more like a flapper dress with like lots of fringe on there once again the furry boot is still present we have an interesting thigh bracelet it's an odd place to put it you know i don't know so i didn't really have something like that so i just took a necklace of mine and put it around my thigh i was surprised that it held at all just because it was pretty heavy and my thighs are pretty large so it's barely closed i have some earrings i have some kind of they're not really fringe earrings they're more like a hanging earring once again the same shoes as a base with the dress being more like a fringe dress and more like a flapper dress of the 20s oh no it's 20s again so 20 20s 1920s okay i think i would prefer of the schme shoes were a darker black so they wouldn't stand out as much um but in in the runway they did have some white pairs with the black outfits so i don't really have anything else to say about this outfit it's fun i honestly keep the dress only for costume purposes at the moment like if ever i'm invited to a 20s party which probably will never be maybe for halloween and cases like this i think this is a second time i'm using it to recreate a runway outfit i think the first time was dolce gabbana for the previous fall winter fashion show but it's pretty fun i like it but wouldn't wear it all right the next outfit is something that is more me i feel in the show they have like a burgundy coat with a burgundy skirt and with a mesh over top of the skirt with a little just like a wrap around here large pendant style necklace once again the shoes are furry so here i am as a base i don't didn't really have the matching burgundy and matching coat combination so i have this gray skirt and i just have this crop top i couldn't find my little thing so anywhere i kept the same shoes then i have this mesh kind of a dress shirt which i put over it then i put a gray coat over that and then i finished up with some accessories uh once again the pendant more like a style of a necklace i feel this is more my style i would probably not wear the furry boots with it i would probably wear something more structured maybe like a any high chunky boot that you've seen before or maybe just a little something else i would probably skip the mesh top actually it adds a little bit of a look of depth in there maybe i'll keep it anyways okay and usually i go for the gold jewelry here i feel the the the silver matches pretty well with the gray so i'm not hating it okay so the last outfit for chanel show the model is wearing a cropped black blazer with kind of a weird pant situation so it's like a short their pair of shorts then they have these like flowy pants attached to them um i don't know it's odd for me very odd and especially for the fall winter um so here is what i come up with i just ha i just kept the same shirt underneath changed up the pants for very flowy black pant very like large and i couldn't really see what was happening with the shoes with her i just have a very simple black shoe black flat in fact put on my cropped blazer took off all the accessories just i didn't see any accessories on on that model and here we are i quite like this outfit i might add some accessories uh for like whenever i would wear it too i feel like this is a great work outfit maybe if your work isn't allowing cropped things maybe wear something longer that you can tuck into the pant itself but i'm i'm not hating this outfit but it's still i feel like i i need something in there something mmm fresh something new all right you guys this completes the video i hope you guys liked it i hope you got some inspiration of going into your closet and searching of whatever you have in there i really love fashion and i'm really disappointed when people say that being trendy or fashionable forward isn't um sustainable because all the fashion trends repeat themselves you can find anything at a thrift store you can thrift and up upgrade the thrifted item what is it up thrift i i repurpose you know like the blazer right now that i was wearing that blazer was a regular men's blazer i cropped it love it word so many times already i love how it stops at the waistline which is my go-to style for me anyways that's my little spiel thank you very much for
