How to Recover Your Protected PDF Password in Linux and Windows (Kali Linux 2024.1)

hello everyone i am hola ma bus i hope you guys are fine and doing great in this video i'm going to show you how to recover your pdf for quote and password using the pdf craig basically there are alternative a lot of applications that you can use but i prefer the pdf crack it is a it is an open source utility and it is quite easy to use and it is not a lot heavy compared to the rest of the application i specifically like this application that i am using ise doctor.pdf so it is quite heavy for me it is not really uh you can see that it is 44 minutes and yet it is still guessing what is the password to recover so anyway uh here you can see that i have already created a test.pdf file and when i when i have to open it it's asking for a password so let me uh first i have to show you how i have created that so let me i have to open a new document and i'm going to simply type this command and it's going to show this much text and now go to the file and save go to export create and i'm going to save it by the name of test 2 and click on the options and i'm going to encrypt this file with the password of one two three four five six uh and one two three four five six and now click okay okay one two three four five six two three four five and six okay and now okay and let me make sure that it has to open after it is published so they can see that it is test2 and it is asking for a password so basically you can see you know how to create that thing now the next thing is that we have to simply uh oh i forgot almost that pdf crack is a linux utility so basically it's an open source utility which you can use it inside the linux so you can't exactly use it inside windows however uh call linux has really now these days with the windows 11 you can run the kali linux like a windows application utility that's not a really a big issue anymore so basically in the next video i will show you how you can do that but for now you have to use a virtual machine to basically crack your password so the first step is for you to make sure that you are running kali linux as a root user so here you can see that i am logged in as a root user let me have to also drag the uh test.pdf test2.pdf to the deskt uh to the calling linux interface okay the next thing is that you have to install the uh pdf crack so you have to simply type sudo apt install pdf crack and then and then press enter so here you can see that it is showing me that it is already installed in me i have to make it full screen too uh here you can see that pdf track is already the newest version which is basically newly installed there is no need for me to install it again okay the second step is that we have to locate the file uh you have to simply type pdf crack and then uh sorry pdf cr crack and then type dash f and now you have to locate the pdf file and after that one you have to simply uh sorry close now you have to simply type uh now if you do not remember if you do not remember even the guessing password then you have to simply press enter and it's going to it is going to basically uh see for all the passwords that basically they are showing the brute force attack is looking to recover that password now it is quite taking a lot of time and remember that it is also going to use quite a lot of your computer's resources so for now i'm not going to do that because at least it's going to take one hour or two hour just to recover the symbol a single password that's why complex password is entirely uh difficult so for now i'm going to simply type a day c a guessing password of one two three four five six seven eight nine ten and at the end a and b or maybe f it should not take a lot of time because it's a small video for the youtube and now once you type your guessing password and now press enter and now you can see that basically it is running uh i mean it is guessing what is the password for that pdf file so it is going to take a while but not a lot like the uh if you have to have a complex password so let's wait a moment and uh so here you can see that it's saying that the password is one two three four five and six if i have to i know what is the password exactly one two three four five six so if i have to click unlock document and now you can see that it is showing that so this is basically how you can recover now as i said earlier if you uh do not enter a guessing password it is going to let me dot sorry pdf if you do not i guessing enter a word list or a guessing password and press enter it is going to take quite a lot of time believe me i have tested and it is in the end it is uh somehow recovering your password but it is taking quite a lot of time so it is not uh there is there is also other tool which is i think uh h what i exactly do not remember the title uh hashtag that's also another utility that you can use to recover your past your forgotten pdf password easily so this is how you can basically recover your password easily so yeah for now you can see that uh the terminal or the pdf crack uh is uh guessing the password s6 lc now this is going on for quite a lot of time it will take a lot of time now inside windows if you are basically using then um this application i see doctor.pdf basically it can do the same thing uh but it is not free you have to pay for it i think the basic plan is around 30 euros i think it was somehow around that
