hi thanks for clicking on this video i'm karim and welcome to super tan bikes on this video i'll explain everything about bringing bike tires and how to know what tube fits in what type of tire you have for this it's really simple all you need to do is read numbers under your tire if you have a road bike most likely you'll have something that would say 700 x 23 c otherwise if you don't have a red bike it's also likely you'll have something that says 26 x something inches so i'll show you some examples of what types of tyre sizes are what okay first type of tire will be reading is your standard road bike it can also be the same as a commuter bike a hybrid bike or a city bike it'll all be read like this so go ahead and find some numbers on the wall of your tyre and what you are looking out for is something that will say 700 x something something c and that is the french reading of the tyre size 700 being the diameter of the rim or wheel 700 diameter and something something see so this one's 28c is the width of the tire 700 by 28c your one will most likely say 700 by 25c or 23c maybe even 32c 35c that's what you're looking for and that's how you find red bike tire sizes when you search on google if you can't find that you will most likely have something like this which is the etito standard european tyre and rim technical organization standard what that is is 28 millimeters being the thickness so just like the 28c it'll be 28-622 the diameter of the oh of the rim 622 millimeters of your rim but what you look out for is copy this and find a conversion table which is in the description below and go ahead and try and convert that into a french version if you still can't find any of these your tyre will most likely have something in inches which is the american version it'll be 28 x something something inches go ahead and find those numbers and head down to the conversion table which is in the link i'll make one or send you a link and that's how you find your tyre size next up is your standard mountain bike tires it's pretty much the same gist as the road bike ties so go ahead and find some numbers on the wall of your tyre what you're going to look out for for this one is a little different whereas in the road bike you were reading the french version and in mountain bikes you're looking for american versions so american is in inches try and find something that says 26 x something something something inches well this one doesn't have a mark of inches but that's what they're saying 26 being 26 inches in width in diameter sorry and the second half of the numbers is 1.95 inches in width of the tyre i mean that tighter ignore the tie trim that's the type of size you'll be looking for if you're looking to buy or find a tube size if you can't find that you will find the etrto version just like the road bikes it'll have something like 53-55 9 53 being 53 millimeters in width of the rim and 559 is 559 millimeters from the diameter of the rim all right thanks for listening with me i hope you have a better understanding of types of wheels if not send me a message or comment down below other than that safe writing
