hello everyone and welcome to learn Croatian calm or as you would say in Croatian dobra - Lee my name is eNOS and I would love to help you with your creation learning journey you might have heard that Croatian is a complex language and it is true however there are aspects of Croatian which are not really hard to grasp in one of those is actually numbers so let's talk about numbers in Croatian if we understand how the numbering system works in most of the European languages they're quite easy to understand so let's start with something familiar such as English so in English if you would like to learn numbers in English you would have to learn a couple of words that are very different and distinct but then you would use those words to make larger numbers so for instance you would need to learn a little words for numbers from 0 to 12 and then you would need to learn other words like a hundred and a thousand and if you notice all the other numbers are actually made up of these 15 or so words Croatian it follows the same principle and that's why it's quite easy to learn tuition numbers so you can learn Croatian numbers and you can actually learn to count to infinity in Croatian with just three simple steps so let's start at the beginning shall we step number one would be to learn creation words for numbers zero to ten these are numbers in Croatian from zero to ten I will say them and you can try and repeat after me let's go Nuala yeda d'Ivoire 3 say theory built chased said um awesome debit they set all right good job these were the numbers to ten so this was your first step the second step in learning creation numbers is actually learning a couple of endings that you would add to these words which you already know to make larger numbers so let's see how you would make numbers from 11 to 19 why 11 to 19 well if you look at English numbers from 13 to 19 have all the same all the same endings correct so you would use the base numbers 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 and at the ending teen you would basically do the same in creation only it's even more simple because they start from 11 so you use 11 11 you use one plus the ending niced and you would do the same thing for all the other numbers 219 so let's count to 19 and try to repeat after me yet denies the vanished 3 nice chattin iced peg nice she's nice Saddam niced Oh some nice dead think nice excellent now remember Croatian is still a complex language with a complex grammar so you will see here and there that you need to make small adjustments to these numbers to these words but you would do the same in English right so it's not really all that complex so how would you did make numbers from 20 to 90 again very simple and again the same as in English you would use the base numbers 2 to 9 and you would use an ending like in English you would use tea in Croatian you add a word for 10 this it so 20 would be to 10 Devadas it 30 would be 3 10 to leave this it and so on let's count from 20 to 90 and repeat after me the vadas it 3 the sit Saturday sit they des it says this it say them they said Oh someday set there the desert excellent now tell me was it hard to pronounce some of these numbers you might have had difficulty pronouncing a number 42 this it you see in Croatian very similarly to Spanish since you rolled the are maybe you're familiar with the term so you wouldn't say run as you would say in English but you say and this may give you some difficulty if you pronounce letters like RT or TR like in to basic but with a little practice it's not really that hard so you can master it easily also again because of the Croatian grammar there are letters that sort of change or disappear in certain words for instance word she's distant so if you were to follow the principle and to add six and ten it would be schist Bessette but as you can see it's quite difficult for to pronounce so actually in Croatian sometimes letters disappear in other letters transformed into other letters to help with the pronunciation so for the word Xi's visit you have a letter disappear and then you have another letter change from s to Z and this is all so it would be easier to pronounce different words but see you already know the words to ninety so the next step would be to actually learn other number words so for instance a word for a hundred is stole a word for a thousand is de su chio or T suja and then you have some larger number words how to make these words how to make these numbers from a hundred to nine hundred so you would do the same thing as you would do in English you would use base numbers two to nine and add the word four hundred two hundred three hundred you would do the same in creation and it would one word so a word for a hundred is stole word for 200 is the be esto now you would say why isn't it the vast oh well the thing for creation is that you need to know in creation grammar is that Croatian grammar has three grammatical genders and there are feminine masculine and neutral also croatian grammar knows seven cases and words like numbers or nouns or pronouns or adjectives they can have they can appear in seven different grammatical cases now it depends which case which cases which it depends on the function of the word in a sentence or on its position in the sentence but that's a story for another another time what you need to understand now is that a word for a hundred stole is a short term for the word still tina which is actually feminine so because it is feminine some numbers need to change their form so they think that they can reflect the feminine word of still tina even though you use a short term like stole you still know that the word still did not is feminine so instead of saying the vod's though you would say the V had stopped because in a longer term it would be the VA still Tina the same thing happens with a word like T suture or T suture a thousand so it would not be the vow T suture it would be the VA t surgeon and so on so let's learn numbers from a hundred to nine hundred try and repeat after me stop Tiesto tristram shandy Risto paste Oh che stow set up stop Oh some stone David Stowe excellent see this wasn't too hard right okay so the next step would be to learn a word for a thousand which you have already heard it's T suture now the ending for this word is also going to slightly change but it's not very hard to learn so the word for a thousand is T suture how would you say one thousand to nine thousand try to repeat after me t suture the VA t suture three T suture set erie t suture pate t suture chaste t suja cedam t suture awesome t suture debit t suture alright as you can see we follow the same principle use the base numbers 1 to 9 and add T suture or T suit you now you as I said before you notice that there are different endings slightly different endings to the word but again that's connected to the creation planner so for now just remember it's easy numbers are easy just learn these first two numbers and then learn different endings in different words for a hundred and a thousand and you will know all the numbers in creation we did skip the numbers in between and the reason is simple they are very easy to make and it's exactly the same as in English language so for instance in English if you want to say 21 or 35 what would you do you would use enough the words for 2030 and then you would just add the other numbers 1 to 9 the same principle is used in creation from for all the numbers from 20 to however many you want to count to so 22 would be Devadas it davonne 67 would be shiz this it sinem 103 would be stole three or four hundred thirty five would be shipped restore three this it fit and so on as you can see the numbers in creation are quite easy to learn and understand and memorize so practice pronouncing these words and practice memorizing them and you will be able to count to infinity in a no time please visit our learn creation.com page where you can see a little bit more about the grammar of the Croatian language and the grammar that stands between behind these numbers and also you can learn larger numbers so this was it for today please join us again on our
