welcome to this mile 30 adventures tutorial video on how to efficiently pack your clothing using the army roll method my name is Justin Bernal and welcome to my channel [Music] all right so today we're learning how to efficiently pack our clothing using the argue roll method or otherwise known as the Ranger roll method and this is a very good method to use because it's really easily organized but like you can see everything that's in your backpack and it takes up less room than folding clothes takes up a little bit more time than folding but this is a really good way to do it and these are not coming in - what I have here is I have my underwear socks shirts pants and their coat so that's all this is all one day of clothing that I can have ready in my backpack ready to go and like I said these are not coming up that like I can juggle these I can throw them around they're fine so I'm gonna show you how to do with the army ball so we're going to start click the shirt so lay your shirt down on a table or on the floor wherever you are and then fold the bottom of the shirt inside out for about an inch maybe an inch and a half so now what you're gonna do is you're gonna fold the sleeves in then you're going to fold your shirt in half bring that sleeve to the middle and then the other side you're gonna fold that over as well flip it around make sure that your fold is still equal on both sides and then you're gonna start rolling and you're gonna want to roll it as tight as you can and make sure if you see in any wrinkles forming just kind of move those out of the way just kind of work them out as as the as the roll keeps going and make it very nice and tight and then do that all the way until you get to the very end all right so now that we're at our end we have a nice roll here as you can tell you got a little pouch here and fold that over and [Music] make that nice and tight and kind of work its way around you go around about half the way and the coil inside should be covered by the sides of that pouch there you go that is an army roll that is not going anywhere and you can do this with all of your clothing I'm going to show you how to do your pants next so pants are virtually the same thing they just require two folds instead of three so again what you're gonna do is you're going to want to start off by doing up the zipper and doing up your button and then once you got that you're gonna do your fold again so you're gonna fold at the waist and this one maybe have a little bit more than Indian strain go maybe to be safe go two inches and keep in mind when you're working with less elastic material it's gonna be a little bit harder to do the Ranger roll but it's still possible so again with the pants here I have my fold at the top then I'm gonna straighten everything out make sure that there's no big wrinkles or big folds in it once I have that I'm gonna fold just in half pant leg over pant leg so then like usual you start rolling and keep it really tight so again we've made it to the very top and we have this little pouch here we're gonna pull that pouch around and enclose the role that we just did and remember that this is a little bit harder if your clothing is not elastic all right so here is our coat so again what we're gonna do is we're gonna make sure that the zipper is all the way done up and what I tend to do with this is I if you have a hood I am gonna tuck it in just so everything it's just a little neater now you have your arms are you gonna do with your arms you're gonna bring the ends all the way up to the shoulder and then you're gonna fold those down and you can do this with any kind of coat this is a down coat so you don't want to keep it down any kind of down garment really in a tight compact position for too long you kind of want to let it air out but if you're traveling this is this is a good way to do it so we're going to fold it over into the middle one side and then the other side hold that side in and then again we start rolling there we go there's the army roll for the down jacket here so this underwear is a little bit easier to fold in my pants work because it's stretchy so I'm going to do my three folds on this here [Music] there we go that's my underwear and finally we are gonna Ranger roll our socks so what we're gonna do with socks are we're gonna lay them on top of each other one is just a little bit lower than the other so you have a little bit of room right there and then then you're gonna start rolling from the bottom you can roll them together so like always we got to the end and the sock on the on the bottom acts as as the pouch there we go there is our socks so just so we can compare the army role versus folding i've got this small carry-on bag and you can tell with the army roll we've taken up just about a quarter of the bag and with folding you can see that it almost takes up more than half of the bank thank you very much for watching this video and I really hope that you liked it if you did please give it a link and subscribe to my channel we've got a bunch of different videos really that's your videos gearing product review videos tutorials tips and tricks I've got a vlog we've got a bunch of different videos that I think that you might like if you like this one so please check those out and I hope to see you next time
