hello everyone and a very warm welcome in this particular demo we will learn how you can OCR a PDF or an image automatically when you upload it to SharePoint those who are not familiar with OCR OCR stands for optical character recognition it means that if you have a scanned copy or an image and if you want to get text out of it or make it a digital document or a document which can be searched in that case you will need to OCR it so that being said let's create our flow and let's quickly get into our use case so I'm going to create an automated flow out here and I'm going to store my file in my SharePoint so I'm going to add my trigger type in SharePoint and I'll when a file is created properties only to this I'm going to pass in my SharePoint Point URL and a library name perfect now that I have given it a library name the next step would be to get the file content so I'm going to add again a SharePoint action get file content give it a site URL and pass it an identifier the identifier is the dynamic content of the trigger now that we have got the file content The Next Step would be to go ahead and OCR it to OCR the file I'm going to use the aqua Forest action OCR PDF or image to this action I'm going to pass in the source file content and I'm going to pass in the source file name with the extension so file name with extension it is the output of the trigger there are few Advanced properties out here which you should not change without consulting the technical support So What I want to tell you out here is there's a lot of fine-tuning options out here if you don't get optimal results we request you to send an email to support aqua forest.com and we should help you fine-tune your OCR process but for most of the cases the default should just work as expected so here I'm going to finally add another SharePoint action and I'm going to and I'm going to store the file in a different Library so I'll put in the create action I'll select the site URL I'll select the folder path I'll pass in the file name so I'll pass in the file name with extension the output of the trigger and then I'm going to pass in the processed file content I'll give my power automate a meaningful name perfect so my flow has been saved and I'm going to to open a document that you're trying to OCR so this particular document if I try to do a contrl f and try to type in scope I don't get it right so this is an image based PDF what we are going to do is we are going to upload this document and see the output results so I will test my flow and I'll upload this particular document perfect so the document is getting uploaded or the PDF is getting uploaded this should trigger my power automate and the flow has been completed so if I go back out here into the ocart files and if I try to refresh this I see a document now if I go ahead and open this in a browser and if I actually search for the word scope you see it finds it if I try to find in terms it tries to find it in fact it gives you 20 instances of it so here my friends we have successfully OC the document and we have created so here my friends we have successfully OCR a PDF I hope this quick tutorial was informative thank you for your time have a great day and bye-bye
