How to move a shed by hand! Old school, no heavy equipment needed!

so you need to know how to move a shed from one spot in your yard to the other well you're in luck because today i'm gonna move that guy right there [Music] right over there okay so step number one is to empty this thing out you want to lighten your load so it's much easier to push let's do it [Music] okay that should just about do it everything else in there is pretty light so we'll leave it in place and let's go on to the next step so yeah we're kind of doing like the old egyptians used to do we're gonna put some rollers underneath put some planks to give them a track and push this thing on over but first we need to get it up off the ground that's where the high lift jack comes in that's step number two jack that sucker up sometimes you're gonna have to uh dig down a little bit in order to get this foot underneath the deck so let's go ahead and do that [Music] get uh at least one of your rollers as close to midpoint as you can so that's what i just did there put this one as close to the middle as i can and now we're gonna lower it [Music] there we are we are up and on the rollers now usually it's a two-person job to watch the front end to make sure that we are you know not getting too far forward without inserting a new roller today i'm by myself so it's gonna be a little slower [Music] okay so i got four rollers underneath i'm gonna get behind and continue to push us just about to the end and hopefully i'll be able to pull the old pieces of track out and replace them in front [Music] [Music] okay so i took the pieces from the back we're getting pretty close um so yank those out and we need to start making a little bit of a turn here so just angle those in the front of the shed is going to face this way so we want to make sure that we're at least tracking in that right direction keep doing keep putting the planks down replacing the rollers take it nice and easy nice and slow if you have somebody to help you out it's all the better [Music] okay so if you start running short on space either use shorter wood or you can just push that a little bit further underneath the shed to uh to make a tighter [Music] [Music] okay next step is obviously get everything out from underneath and make sure your sheds level let's get to it and you're going to want to jack it up from either end to pull your pieces of wood and your rollers out the safest way to do it it's easier that way you know your your rollers are loose and that they can come out freely [Music] all right that's it it's set everything's out we're in place i checked it uh level all the way around so we're good to go hey if you really like this video you found it useful please smash that subscribe button hit the notification bell so you know when we drop new videos we really appreciate the support we'll see you next time [Music] the chickens are excited
