[Music] hello guys are tested here in today's tutorial it's some 3d cosmetic product Brenda let's get into it alright first off we are going to grab our cylinder now the cylinder is where we are going to start off to get the whole tube well modeled so I'm going to use rotation segments of about 20 all right and get the desired height make sure you googled shading lines is a neighborhood is advisable for you to have it when you're modeling so that you can have a good idea of the faces you're working with alright so the height I'm going to reduce it to about 20 all right maybe 30 that's okay so I'm going to bring my connect to and then make the cylinder a child of it and in the attribute section I'm gonna change the fun mode to average so from there I can just make it editable so that I can begin to reconstruct my object so I'm going to use the loop or cut tool to make some cuts so I'm going to cut right here cuts right here at the top and then make another cut just here all right the next step is to use the life selection mode in the polygon mode to make some selections alright so you need our switch to the top view now that is to say I have to make selections of these ones on the side so this is just to give me a reference I'm going to switch back to my perspective mode and select these faces right right-click choose extrude some extrude it just a few steps back now you realize that when I extrude you see their edges overlapping and that is not going to give us disabled output in the end so we have to make sure we delete all the faces and reconstruct them I submitted it and whether bridge - I'm going to switch to my edge mode and then bridge all the edges together in a way to find them as one without overlapping so I'm just going to make sure that I bind all of them make sure it's enclosed alright then these extra edges I'm gonna select them and then right-click and dissolve now that's desirable the next thing we are doing is to cut the base as well so I'm gonna hit em hit L and as a shortcut for the loop cut too so you can see all the tools have their shortcuts when hit ma you get this when I hit ml you get loop or path cut right so I'm going to bring my subdivision surface through the model inside to see how it looks all right that's okay that's not bad it's very good so let me tell it off for now and maybe select these faces select these edges and then probably move to the top view top view maybe turn on my x-ray mode so that I can see through move it right up front okay that's okay so I'm gonna switch back to my perspective turn off x-ray alright that's okay as you can see I'm creating a nice indentation of the edge all right I might have to grab these vertices all right and move it down a little to make it more elliptical alright now that's okay so the next thing we're going to do is to escape okay that's good the next thing we're going to do is to duplicate this whole model and then I hit ctrl click and drag make a duplicate and then rotate it hit our hold shift and then we'll take it 180 degrees so now you're going to make a flip duplicate and that is what we've seen right here so I just need to reduce it which is already the height yes about that that's fine and that's okay maybe for the second model in the polygon mode we are just in the Vettes mode range is going to reduce the radius which is the distance between the edges just about this fine alright now that is it for their base now we are going to quickly move into their tube itself I'm gonna model the tube itself so let's start with the rotation segment about 20 same as we did for the first move it up a little all right and we still grab our connect to make it a child of it choose average and then make it editable first off we're going to make some cuts as we've always been doing so hit em hit L make sure you selected change to any of these modes and then make a cut you might have to hold alt and double click these dots right here to hide them from hiding previous models from being previewed in your viewport so these cuts will make them just we make them cylinder just maintain its shape when you turn on the subdivision all right so that's okay now at the top I'm going to let me disable this I'm going to select these ones okay on top use the skill to scale it down just talk about this okay then increase the radius on the x-axis now I have to push it up a little like this all right now that's desirable now the next thing we're going to do is to line up the vertices okay we can do that manually sound is very quickly going to do that I'll switch to the mana I'll switch to the Vettes mode and select this one move it in a little so like this these faces select these edges this scale it up a little select these faces scale it sorry Hitty scale it up select these ones also scale it up a little now you select the last ones and then scale it in just to give this shape alright now that's okay switch back to the polygon board you can see that my faces are still selected I have to move back to perspective then I'm going to make an extrude so with these ones selected right click go to extrude and then click it click and drag I have to click and drag another one and just another one now that's ok so if I tell back my subdivision surface on you can see I'm getting the shape right all right the next thing is maybe I have to make another cut just right here so I'm going to hit ml again make another cut somewhere here all right that's good so maybe I'll make another cut so we'll hit ml again and make another cut all right all right so you're gonna select the these points okay that is this and this make sure it's in the center all right I'm going to select them hit T and squeeze it inside your squeeze it inside not one of the other ways is also to use soft selection so you can enable some selection and then turn down the radios and then squeeze it inside now the subselection enables you to squeeze not just squeeze not just there the points but a selected area you can see the right center here is the most affected all right I'm going to move it down also all right so that's that's okay maybe just get inside a little bit all right so that is it's for our model alright so I'll just turn back these guys on and we have a good model alright so the next thing we are going to do is to texture our motto nothing for the shop I just developed some labels that is going to help me to texture so for this tutorial I'm just going to use this one in the video that I showed you earlier although it's another supreme model maybe you will do that in a lot of time but for the purpose of this tutorial it's fast to understand some extra tips in modeling so I don't have to go into that one as well but we just model the tube okay so this is the model this is the label that you I use it for there for the tube so I'm going to go to redshift tell on my IPR I have to place my IP out somewhere but before that let me just set up a scene I'm just going to grab my plane change it to z-axis move it up a little maybe increase the size to about thousand five by a thousand five maybe I have to group all these months maybe you have to group all these ones as a single objects I'm going to call this product they'll call it tube grab all of these make it a child of it so that I can move them forward so I move forward all right maybe I can even rotate it all right I'm going to grab my light kit now this is very wonderful to produce my three skill gorilla you can just check them out I'll put the link in the subscription so you can just check them out I'm going to position the light right at the edge okay somewhere here increased height intensity as well realize that when you there's a slider here that helps you to evaluate the intensity of your light so I'm just going to push it forward selects of the softbox increase the distance somewhere here I'm also going to bring in my camera so I'm going to go to redshift cameras bring in a standard camera what I'll position it to just to the right position I have to change the focal length of the camera to 80 switch on the camera now this toggle here enables you to switch off and on the camera all right so I have a combined position how about the light the light is not well positioned and I have to move up a little so let me just move it up here and just make sure this is the target object maybe I'll bring the camera and it's you down in position okay so maybe you have to turn off target then you can free to move the camera the light sorry alright so having that done I will tell on IPL quickly render to see how it's looking now that's too bright how to change the render to redshift now you're getting better okay so what I'm also going to do is I'm going to bring in an HDR alight so go to lights go to dome light then I'll use another tool by East critical gorilla HDR a link this also helps you to connect to a library of HDR ice that you can have online download them buy them online we have a lot of free HDRI websites that you can get so I'll just put them in a link for you to have access so I'm gonna select 80-hour you can actually construct this in Photoshop as well this all right now the next thing I'm going to do is to begin to texture the background at the plate the backdrop and then the model so I'm going to create a new material we call this backdrop creates another one all this tube go call the second-last 1aqaq all right so this is for the backdrop now in a backdrop we are getting something very simple we're going to get a very a dark green color for the background so something like this is okay then maybe turn down the reflection turn out the roughness I always make sure your samples are very high there should be about 128 to ensure that you will get the fine quality renders you don't have a noise in your image you're getting good definition of your lighting and shadows okay so just make sure you're always having high samples all right so just drop this on the background to see how it's looking with the backdrop sorry all right let's go ahead so the next thing I want to do is I actually want the texture there the tube okay so I'm gonna open up the window for the chief okay you're going to use what we call the material blender okay that enables you to blend two textures okay so you can't blend a texture image whenever any material you can't blend so many things together all right so I want to also bring in a texture over here I'll just type in texture click and drag and drop it here so I'm going to load up the texture that I designed in Photoshop and as you can see if I just showed you here I designed some simple little and for the shop and this is what I'm going to use to wrap around the tube okay so let's get into it I'm going to just select label and that would be the base color so I'm going to go to base and diffuse color for the texture I'm gonna select silver and maybe 10 of the roughness a little okay that is okay let's see how it's looking Brenda so when you drag it on my texture here is you can see this shiny look over here it's not shaming there a bullet solver a little fix that so maybe I should tended to plastic to see how he's looking I was gonna route okay so plastic gives us a better look okay look so maybe we'll stick with that we are maintain a roughness make sure you have your samples 128 I can turn it up okay one thing I want to work on is my general diffuse light him their global invasion like then I want to make sure my exposure is quite high enough to vision there's a lot of light bouncing around the scene okay now that's enough and I'll see myself box I want to have a particular color give me something like this to hear that greenness finish I have to turn up their master intensity okay not the time I can see that their moonlight is appearing over here go to town the samples okay right I think my background is still effective so I'm how to turn down them activity or a reflection of their the backdrop and perhaps in his a roughness as well okay so that does a good job for us as you can see we are getting somewhere okay all right now for the wrapping of the tube we need to make sure that they're wrapping is well done so I'm going to go select the texture tag go to the tags and that attribute and then change it to flat okay general mood too flat then why don't I disable the Tao I'm going to go back into the texture let me go into my texture Laura and disable the UV Rob let's see so as you can see the touch has no work position so you're going to use the texture mode to just me align our texture in the right position okay so you can just turn on this axis mode um it would exist Hetty and begin to adjust it just to make sure that it's in the right position so 18 it increases the size this position and us your position you have to be looking on this particular [Music] you together right position so next time who is to create that metallic looking extra texture on the surface so that is when they're matching your blender becomes really of use so that case we are going to pick the whip and then use this as the base material okay connect this back as the output okay then I am going to create another redshift material okay type in material drop it inside the graph and then I'm going to choose silver so I'm gonna just make it look like a silver texture all right so this silver material is going to be in the Lea color one and then I'll bring in another texture which is going to be the mask of that layer basically the mask was just [Music] another channel of two colors that the black and white when the white we've used and texture and a black highs attention so that is basically the purpose I'm going to load in that texture laboum metal so I'm going to note that one in and I'll be fine so I'm going to grab the web and then leave it in there blend color and there we go we should have our metallic looking texture maybe we have to just work on there and isotropy think this one is okay I mean there are a lot of things we can do a lot of touches we can do to make sure that our our model is looking great I think that I can change my HDRI I'm not really enjoying the lighting that's going on so maybe a few adjustments will make him work we try this refresh we can study this for now okay so maybe out making 1.3 that's better all right now the next thing you're going to do is detection for caucus well the cover so we go to the cover and then basically it's just the same texture so I'm just going to duplicate this cork I'm a DQ texture call it coke all right jump in there disconnect this base material to the surface and then just disable the texture we can just take all this off all right let's see all right so the color we can use for the base is something close to that you can just try and get too close to Allah if you stick with this all right turn out the roughness kind of the roughness then also maybe the diffuse roughness as well okay neither but might you have a brighter color to light up the object all right now the other thing we should have even deleted a blender so let's bring back the material blender okay make this the base register output to make this the base color alright we're going to loading the material map of the corner see so the the difference is that the size is something about this if this is the full length of the coke the part that is going to show the silver texture is just about this height all right it's about this okay so that's a difference so I'm just going to know that they will meet our and that is going to be the blend layer once alpha all the color one all right so let me finally bring in the material that is a silver material I'm going to choose silver we can drag and drop it in there one color so that she did it you should see the metallic texture I think that looking at this here it should move up a little so we can just do that in Photoshop just drag it up a little and maybe squeeze it squeeze the height down a little you just save it ctrl s and save it it should be able to update inside cinema4d you just do ever fresh should just update its number 14 so we are basically going to duplicate this we doing this we don't need this so we delete this and then for the second one we're just going to get rid of all these I like this directly so we just drop this on the second texture so basically that is how we're going to go about texture the model okay so the what is left now is to just make sure your lighting is well done a camera's exposure you can make on exposure film second increased exposure do a whole lot of things you can tell you can bring you now Russian environment okay maybe have us cut a scale of about 0.3 0.1 to begin to turn up a contribution of the light to the environment is in the environment is actually effect that makes a scene look more natural with the volumetric light that is scattered in the scene so I'm going to go to the advanced and then turn on the exposed light then we now see the red shift light that we can adjust the volume all right so I'm gonna hit so for one then begin to give us the volume from there the light from the side I'm gonna turn this one down there's no gonna use this at all okay so the relative light maybe 0.05 that is about it that is looking good okay so you can just add your post effect without maybe hours every for another tutorial but I guess this was helpful but one thing I realized is that mostly a product rendering you have to really focus on the product make sure that the light turn around the product is well position such that all the details of their product is beautiful in this case you can see that we don't really see this much so you can also make sure that it's visible by using a technique here so I'm just quickly going to show you that and then we can be done all right so I'm just going to bring in Russian light here we increase the size make sure it covers the size of the product all right which increase intensity to about maybe 1.5 I'm going to go to the table and then uncheck specula and what it does is that it only lights out the diffuse of their of the scene so it doesn't light up anything but the diffuse maybe I have to just reduce the size a little so that it affects only the product and not other parts of the see all right sir you can see the difference if I should just disable it you can see the product is well lit when I enable it so that's one of the things you should consider and yeah do product lights it make sure that the details are visible visible as they can be so thank you for watching this tutorial if you enjoyed it just make sure you like and subscribe if you have any comments if you think it is something that I did that it can be done better just comment [Music] see you next time bye [Music]
