okay everybody how are y'all doing I'm gonna go ahead and make this video that I was telling you guys about about the feed mixture that I used for my pigs it's the three ingredients that I use is crack corn cracked or gets crushed soy meal it's a soy meal mixture soy bean and then a mineral mixture and I'm going to give you the exact proportions that you need to use I'm gonna just go over everything really quickly and I got this recipe from an older gentleman here that lives here close not far from here he's an older gentleman I'm not sure how old he is I'd say about 80 something years old he's used this mixture for a long time and he knows a lot about pigs he's raised pigs for many many many years I know at one point he told me he had as many as 350 head of pigs at one time that's a lot of pigs and I don't mind taking advice from someone that knows a lot about them who's been there it's tried and true it works so I'll take advice from someone like that in a heartbeat when an older gentleman tells me something I listen and I learn a lot you can learn a lot from older people so anyway I just want to give him credit for it this is not my recipe he's the one that told me about it I didn't come up with it my own but it's it's so good and it's been so successful that I just want to share it with everybody because it works so good and everybody that I know that uses it have the same same success that I have had with it and I've like I said I just took my pigs to the butcher here a few days ago and I believe it was Tuesday today is Saturday I just picked up my meat today when I got the pigs they weighed about 32 or 33 pounds of piece and I had them for four months and right to be exact exactly four months I might have been off by a day or two either a day prior to four months or day after four months bitters right there the light on the hoof was 284 pounds and that's in four months okay that is exceptionally good so anyway I'm going to go over them numbers here really quickly for you I guess and you go and do that first the Hogs weighed or I should say the little pigs when I got on their way to let's say 32 pounds at least the one that I had because they're all about the same weight all four of mashing one of the four was just a little bit smaller he was kind of like the runt but the other three were all the same size but anyway the one that I had was to see 33 pounds whenever I got that got it it was 284 pounds hoof weight that's before they gutted it or anything like that okay so what I did is I deducted 33 pounds the weight of the pig from the hoof light which was 284 pounds so the total weight that they have gained from the day that I got them was 251 pounds in four months okay I divided that by four months that's six to two point seven five pounds per month divide that by four weeks they gained fifteen point six nine pounds per week divided by seven days that's an average of two point two four pounds per day now keep in mind whenever they're little let me mention this they're not gonna gain two points something pounds per day as they get bigger they get any more and more weight but I'm just giving you an average of the weight gain that is tremendous in four months so for every 50 pounds of cracked corn I use twelve pounds of this metal mesh you have to weigh it twelve pounds and then one pound 10 ounces of this mineral mix okay so that's what I'm going to use and this is just a scale that I used to know weigh everything that's 50 pounds of our old crack cores and then I'm going to put 12 pounds of this side soymilk and then one pound 10 ounces of this mineral mix he's going to add 13 pounds it's 1 pound make it to 10 ounces there okay so so we've got 13 pounds 10 ounces here that includes 12 pounds of the soy soy bean meal and then one pound 10 ounces of this mineral mix let me show you what this mineral mix looks like you go in here so just like this just all kind of minerals and then I'll pour this into this wheelbarrow this is raised to mix everything in just pour it into that I use just my shovel mix just really good until you keep everything mixes up good just takes a few times to do this it doesn't take long okay so snicks pretty well then I just put the corn in the back in the bag this is it that's how you do you give them all that they want and if you do that you'll have you some fat pigs there no time that's what you want you want them to eat as much as they can because the more they bless you have them last money got it that's money yep that's money you have to put in feed that's the mixture that I give them that's what I've given them since day one since I got the pigs let me just assure you that it works really good you should try it I believe you'll be very satisfied my rooster over there agrees with me so anyway like I said folks I've had them for four months and in four months they've gained all that weight so this works really good it's tried and true and you know that's what you want to do is you know if you if you try this mixture the same recipe that I gave you give them all the feed that they want 24/7 never let them run out if you haven't seen my previous video on the feeding trough I recommend that you go take a look at it it's very good because you can put quite a bit of feed in there and they they waste very little feet and you don't want ways because you know then that costs you a lot a lot of money too because you got to buy extra feed I did want to mention that the total amount of feed that I have spent on each Pig in four months was a hundred and eighty five dollars that's per Pig so from the time that I got up until the time they went to the butcher okay so your biggest expense is going to be this saw premix right here this premix is uh I think it cost me like $30 but you only use like I said a pound 10 ounces for every 50 pounds pounds of corn and I think this bag right here will go up to a ton of crack corn so it does go a long way and then the soybean meal I think it costs like $17 per 50 pounds so one bag of soybean meal is enough to mix with four bags of 50-pound crack corn plus you have some leftover so anyway one hundred and eighty-five dollars like I said per pig is what it costs to feed them so that's not a bad deal but anyway I hope you enjoy this video and give it a shot so thank you guys very much for looking at it if you like this video just give it a thumbs up and uh you know if you ought to subscribe to my channel cuz I'll be putting some more videos up I got some chickens over there in the background as you can see them up there much chicken coops couple of them I'll be making some more videos whenever I get around to it hopefully pretty soon so take care and good luck with everything you you you
