[Music] hi everybody everybody I'm back everybody Jeannie young us back and I'm back with yet another amazing recipe I am so excited today because today at the Young's house Jeannie almost going to share with you all just how easy it is to make a great bean burger this recipe is delicious it does not require a lot of ingredients saying you know you make a Jean a young spell it's gonna be so tasty you all never had my vegan burgers before you better make you some here the lovely ingredients you will need of course you're gonna need some beans and when you're making a big burger any kind of being that you love and my favorite being is the black-eyed pea so we're going to use two cans of black eyed peas I have drained these from the liquid you want to drain them very well you want no liquid in this can okay and honestly you can make a bean burger out of beans that you made the previous day or say you have some leftover beans they make for an amazing bean burger you will need some bell peppers and right here I have some beautiful bell peppers that I'm falling out okay and then I've used a paper towel to Pat them dry you're gonna need a couple of veggies to keep everything nice and moist and give it that great flavor that we all love so right here we have an onion okay you're going to need a just one egg will do the trick for two cans of beans you're gonna need some barbecue sauce any kind of barbecue sauce that you love will be just fine and a couple of spices of spice everything up right here we have some Montreal steak seasoning it's gonna make this bean burger taste like it's been cooked on the grill you're gonna need some black pepper we have garlic powder we have cumin onion powder and chili powder a little bit of salt and you see we have the butter right there and also you're gonna need some bread crumbs okay so we have the bread crumbs we have some cheese and mustard and we also have some potato buns over here make sure your hands are impeccably clean let's get started with this really quick and simple yet so tasty recipe okay everyone so one of the first things that you need to do is you want to get your veggies nice and soft now there's a couple of different ways you can do it you can take your veggies chop them bad boys down and saute them up until they're nice and soft and then you can incorporate them what I'm gonna do today is I'm gonna chop them down a little bit we're gonna put them in the food processor and really break them down and that's gonna help you to have a nice moist bean burger that's never gonna get dry so now if you don't want to use bell peppers it's okay if you want to use carrots you might want to use celery carrots and onions that's fine all of that's gonna give you great flavor but today we're going to use the onions and the bell peppers let's get them chopped down a little bit okay so I have and you don't want to use too much just a little bit's gonna go a long way it's gonna give you great flavor too much will make your burger too watery and then it won't stick together and you wonder why okay so this right here let's get this right into the food processor alright and I'll use a little tiny bit more alright just like so I don't suggest putting fresh garlic in here and the reason why is because honestly I feel like when you put fresh garlic into a bean burger the bean burger only cooks for around about eight minutes four minutes on each side do you really think that fresh garlic is gonna get cooked I don't think so what if you just want to put fresh garlic in it here's what you're gonna do you're gonna chop that garlic up and you want to saute it ahead of time let it cool down then you can incorporate it okay all right so now guess what we're gonna do I have some onion I'm not gonna use too much you don't need a lot but we do want that flavor from the onion you can use dehydrated onions if you like absolutely you could but this little bit right here is gonna do the trick it's gonna keep it nice and moist think of a great great flavor okay so this is going in the food processor as well all right get that out of there I hope you all are having an amazing day today as well as a great work week if you're working all right let's go ahead and turn our food processor on and get these veggies blend it up a little bit it makes the beans the bean burger look beautiful in the inside okay let's see here can you see that right there I want that to be chopped down a little bit more okay so we're gonna do just that be right back okay everyone next thing that we wanted to do is we're gonna take one of our cans that we drained of your beads you can use kidney beans you can use any kind of beans keep that in mind I know I've said that two times but I just really want to stress that okay so here's what we're going to do we're going to take this fork and I want to really match this first can mash it mash it mash it mash it up just like so and honestly if you want it to you can take this and put it right in with your veggies and you could have mashed it that way okay but I don't mind doing this I don't mind a little bit of exercise okay so now that we're gonna get this canned nice and mushy we're gonna put the other can with it but we're not gonna mash all of those beans up you want to have some beans still whole and you want to have one can that's really mashed up I like when I make a bean burger and you can kind of really see all of the ingredients it makes for a beautiful burger trust me when I tell you I cannot wait until I fry this burger up and show you what the inside looks like it's simply gorgeous now we all are familiar with the famous black bean burger I didn't want to do black beans because I'm not a fan of the black bean you know usually if we have beans it's you know the Pinto being the kidney bean the Black Eyed Peas that's what I choose and they make for great burgers okay so now that this is well mixed up or mashed down let's go ahead and put this can in okay keep in mind we're not going to mash all of us up less than half of us will get mashed the rest we're just gonna mix it right on it okay just like so now we will be using one egg today and the egg is optional okay especially if you want to make the veggie burger and you're vegetarian you don't eat eggs you don't need the egg you can do without it all right and it'll turn out successful okay so now that we have our beautiful bean mixture let's mix it up and then let's get those veggies veggies going in there beautiful they smell great try the different colors cuz it really makes it nice and pretty and you see we didn't have to use too much for two cans all right gorgeous so now I want to go ahead and crack my egg will crack it into a separate Bowl just like so this is a large egg nice fresh egg let's get it right into our mixture just like so let's give it a nice mix all right come on get nice and mixed up after we mix that egg in with those beautiful veggies and those smashed up beans we're gonna season this and we're gonna season this and make it taste like beef you know we want to make it taste like a real burger okay so those flavors that we're gonna use today which is that cumin that chili powder the salt and the pepper Montreal steak seasoning this bad boy I know I said it earlier but it's gonna taste like it came right off of the grill okay so let's go ahead take our time to do that right now the egg will serve as a binding agent it will help to bind the patty together like I said you don't have to use it because the beans will bind up by their self this is onion powder that I put in we're gonna put some chili powder in there get it in there oh yeah humans gonna give you that great flavor perfect garlic powder definitely don't be afraid to season this here it needs a lot of seasoning we're gonna put some black pepper just like so a little bit of salt and when I see a little bit just a little bit as needed not too much don't get crazy with it all right that's all you're gonna meet and that Montreal steak seasoning give you that grill taste I'm gonna mix this in and then I'm gonna show you how much breadcrumbs we're gonna use so let's go and it smells so good right now beautiful smell that we have okay just like so you're gonna get a nice frying pan out or if you want to use a flattop you could even put this on the grill okay everything's nice and mixed up now we're gonna go in with some bread crumbs okay now it's up to your discretion how much bread crumbs you want to use you want to be able to make these being this bean mixture into a patty okay so let's get them in there just like so not too much what the bread crumbs does is it kind of stretches it you know and you can make a little bit more and it also helps to bind as well beautiful I'm starting to see that gorgeous texture that I'm looking for you can't want to continue to mix this up and I'll be right back okay everyone now that everything is well incorporate it let's go ahead and make up our patties and when you make up your patties you can fry them right away if you want to but I highly suggest that you give them probably 35 minutes in a refrigerator to kind of really set up okay let's dive in okay so my hens are impeccably clean I have my ring off here's what we're gonna do we're gonna take these and you can put a little bit of water on your hands if you want to but you know to stop the sticking you know if you don't want it to stick to your hands but I'm okay with it we can wash our hands when we're done we're gonna make up patties just as if this was ground beef or ground turkey or ground chicken look at that look how it holds together it's supposed to you're gonna know that you have enough of the ingredients and not too much wetness in here if it sticks together that's what you want okay it's gonna hold together make it just like if it was a burger make it the same size that your bun you're gonna use okay beautiful if you see any holes just kind of sill them in alright so now right here I have it's just a cookie sheet with a little bit of parchment paper alright and this is gonna go in the oven for a half an hour and then we're gonna fry them up I'm going to cook three of these for you all today because three of us are going to be eating these bean burgers they are so easy they're so delicious and you know honestly a meat lover is going to love this right here someone that is a true fan of meat and hamburgers and things like that they are going to go nuts when they taste this recipe it tastes just like a burger especially when you turn around and use that Montreal steak seasoning listen here put that Cuban in there boy I've got it you better make you some let's get these bad boys into the refrigerator and when I come back we're gonna get them fried up okay everyone so our being patties have set in the freezer for just a half an hour and now we're ready to fry them up I have a little bit of vegetable oil in my pan and I wouldn't add some butter to the pan butter burns at a high temperature so it's gonna really help to get that charred flavor that we all love from the grill with this butter burning so we're gonna put a little bit of butter in the pan just like so and not only is it gonna help to give that charred flavor that's gonna give a great flavor as well okay once this butter gets a nice hot bubbly and frothy we're gonna throw these in and that is happening right now very easy they don't stick to your hands anymore alright let's get them in and let's get them fried up make you some whoa you better make you some cuz they're so good alright now they only take four minutes each side we're gonna cook these on a medium-high heat you can cook them up on high if you want but you just don't want to cook them on low when they're ready to flip I'll be right back there's one thing that I want to do before we flip these your favorite barbecue sauce we want to spread some one there okay this is what I do when I cook regular burgers on the grill I always put a nice smear of barbecue sauce it gets an amazing flavor oh yeah just like so and we're just gonna do one side one side is enough alright get this side done and I'm gonna come back when it's time to flip phone okay everyone so now what I want to do let's go ahead and cut our tomato hmm so I'm gonna cut that end off and my time I'm done cutting our tomato not too thick not too thin it should be time to flip over our burger so our burgers have cooked on the first side for about three-and-a-half to four minutes let's take a peek in let's go ahead and flip them over okay be very gentle give them a nice flip come on baby oh oh you see that that's what you want it to look like you're gonna be able to choose that make sure you use that butter alright we're gonna get a nice carmelization on the other side as well from the sugar from that barbecue sauce be back okay everyone I want you all to see our gorgeous bean burgers just how simple so much fun and they taste so good listen here everybody oh and look at that carmelization beautiful if you all enjoy this hair video give me a thumbs up and
