[Music] hi everyone welcome to back his crafted Goods and today I'm going to show you a little bit of a revamped version of the floating teacups that I've done in the previous video I've changed things a little bit slightly and this kind of makes it work a little bit easier makes it stronger makes it kind of flowing stick a lot better so what we're going to use to start with is this teacup and this saucer and that's one part I've also found that using the tea plate which is the next size up from the source of their works quite well to help it balance okay so in this video we're going to use the tea plate that comes with it as well and first of all what we need to do is to get the cup and we need to fix it so it's suspended like that and it looks like flowers are going to be flowing out of the cup now to do that you need a fork against this fork is just a cheap fork it's quite thin quite bendy and you need to bend the fork so that the fork sits on the plate like that but at an angle so you need a little bit of strength or maybe some pliers or something like that just bend the fork up so it sits like that and what we're going to do is we're going to glue the fork down onto the teeth the little saucer there now I used a glue gun in a previous video and it didn't hold it at all so I found that gorilla glue works really well now gorilla glue is a glue that's activated by come into contact with water so we need to put some gorilla glue on one side and then some water on the other side and when it comes into contact after a while that term makes it sort of cure and unset so to start with what you need to do is to get the bottom of your saucer fold the fork so it sits flat and we also need to bend this top part because we've got the cup like there and this part needs to bend down so it sits in the cup so what I tend to do is to hold it on the side of the counter and just bend it down okay as you can see there that's just bent there before you start sticking you need to sort of hold it so you can sort of measure the angle that you want to give ok so just have a play about with it I'm just sort of bending a little bit and what it will do is it will sit in there and we're going to actually glue it so it sits down there and I found that the guerrilla glue works quite well so what we need to do to start with is to stick this bottom part so if you get your gorilla glue and you want to put some on the bottom now remember it does expand but because we're going to hide this it won't matter too much then get some water put some water on the other side of the fork now we need to stick it and we need to stick it to the actual tea plate itself so you get you fork hold it down like that and what I've found quite useful is to get some tape get it ready and hold some tape down like that now I found that electrical tape works really well but I'm running out of it I did use use it for the other one that I've done and sadly I'm running out so just sort of hold it down a little bit like that and then you need to put something that's got sort of a little bit of pressure on it so what I did is I just got some rice or something heavy from the kitchen and popped that on the top like that now I'm going to leave that to start and dry before I do anything else alright so once that 2 part there is dry gonna take the rice off and we're going to stick this top part on this bottom parts really really easy to sit on this is the tricky part of the cup and sometimes two hands are quite helpful for this so what we're going to do is make sure the handles at the front and just sort of hold it so you know where it's going to be and then get some of the gorilla glue sorry I'm not doing it so you can't see it there and put some gorilla glue down the center so it's around about the same size get some water put some on the underside make sure your hands very quickly are then dry I've got some tape here at the ready put that on there and then this is where you could do with a couple of pairs of hands because it does help just hold that down and stick some tape now we are going to balance this and I'm going to use is exactly the same thing to balance this as I'll used only one when I was in the house I've tried all sorts of things I tried like a clump and goodness knows what else and the thing worked so I propped it up with the loaf of bread a little bit of bread that we had left in the cupboard and that's why I used to prep it up so it is very Wiggly and it's very tricky to do so I found some bread and it was just right to balance it in there so get something look around the house let's see what you've got to hold it so I'm just gonna hold it there make sure it's flat down and when that's done that'll be ready we can just stick that along on the bottom and then we're ready to go now if you look a bit closer you can see that the Gorilla Glue kind of puffs up and expand that won't matter because we're going to cover it and I'd rather it be stuck and as you can see it's much stronger than any of the other glue that we've tried in the past so what we're going to do now is to start and decorate it now I'm going to decorate these in slightly different ways just to give you a bit of an idea if you want to make a Christmas version then just alter the colour of the flowers that you use make them Christmas colors golds reds you know sparkly Silver's that sort of thing you could even you know put pinks and if you want but add some glittery kind of decorations if you're doing it christmasing you could also make something for Halloween you can some small pumpkins which I thought would be quite nice maybe paint nose and put a few of those in if you wanted to do a Halloween kind of display as well now if you've got some flourish tree ribbon you can actually wrap that around the fork which looks quite nice and it does hide this part here this occasion is I'm just going to use a bit of ribbon because I think ribbon I'll be fine and it should work really well so I'm gonna get a dab of hot glue this should hold the ribbon okay and remember we won't be seeing this awful part at the top so we haven't got to worry about that too much and all I'm gonna do is just wrap this around the kind of it the long part of the fork we're just going to go around and this is just to hide any bits of silver that we don't really want again we're not going to see much of this but we will see some parts so we'll just cover it anyway I just tend to pop some of them blue as we go down and then when we get to the bottom I'll go down as far as we can we'll just sort of seal it off and win it with a little bit of the last glue so I'm just going to glue that and then stick it at the back just to end it and then that's just a little bit neater okay now we're going to start to decorate the actual and saucer and cup itself now you can buy Moss you can buy Moss that's in different sorts of colors and you can buy it from eBay let me show you a few different colors that I've got here I've got a white color as a red if you can see in the bag there they do a pink and then some green as well so to hide this part you can put some moss on so what I tend to do to start with is just make a start put a few bits on and then when I'm happy with it I'll glue it down I'm also going to pop them from the top here draping down there just so it all matches in place so I'm just gonna glue that now alright there we go so that's all glued in as you can see I've gone quite far in the cup and that's just purely because the the glue it expanded and I wanted to hide that part so now we're going to add some flowers now as you can see it's standing really well and we don't need any extra weights on this part and that I've found is because we've put this larger plate underneath the bottom and it seems to hold it a lot flatter and much more kind of in proportion because you've got that larger area on the bottom so that's why I've put the plate along the bottom now flour wise you can do all sorts I'm going to use these flowers these world orchid craft flowers for this particular one but for the second one I'm going to show you in a second I'm gonna use some different flowers now look at the color of your cups and pick out the kind of colors that you want to use so if you look in here you can see the colors that are on there and I've just pulled out a mixture of the flowers that I've got in the creams in the ready tones in the pinks and that's really what I'm going to use okay so here are the flowers that I've got so just kind of take a look and this is the stage where you're going to have to play about check and change moving around a little bit before you actually glue them down now these stand out quite well to me I think these are really really pretty in this bag you get different tones you get the darker ones and you get the lighter ones so all you need to do with these flowers you mean you can buy it you don't have to use the world or peak raffle and you can buy these from a lot of craft shops also the works sell them and so do the range as we've done before you just snip them off and bend the wire part and what we're going to do is to glue them inside so they look like they're falling out of the teacup okay so what I'm going to do is just have a little bit of a prior bow with the flowers now and just see what I think looks nice [Music] so very roughly worked out how I want them to go but I don't know about you but when I do things I always end up putting them back in a different order to how I thought anyway so I'm gonna start with this deep color here if it looks really nice and I'm going to do is just put some glue on the end here and stick them in the top start at the top and just work your way down now I think the different kinds of Pink's look really nice because we've want to pull out as I said earlier I want to pull out the colors that are on the mug and kind of make them stand out really so what we need to do is to just put the glue on all the flowers and we're going to sort of cascade them all the way round but as I said I think it's easier to start at the top and then work down [Music] I've also got these leaves which also came from wild dog crafts they're just green paper leaf here what I'm going to do is just to add a little bit more detail gonna pop a bit of glue on the edge of SERM and just put the odd leaf around the display as well [Music] I think that just looks really quite pretty and I'm quite sweet with the extra the extra detail on there right now I'm just gonna give you a couple of other ideas wild okie crafts also sell these these would look really quite pretty you can pop those poke those in and sort of display those around they would look nice and also some bows you could get some bows and attach those to the flowers again they would look really really pretty I've got some smaller bones and some slightly larger ones there what I'm going to do in this case is use this bead now this came from pound and so it wasn't expensive at all and I'm going to start at the top and I'm going to glue the end of the bead in the top here it's going to turn it round just so I can I can get in so stick that in there and what you can do is just hide that with like a flower or something if you can see the glue it's just a bit tricky to get it to sit without burning yourself and once that's in what we're gonna do I'll just turn it around so what I'm going to do is I've tried to poke it under the flower at the top I'm just going to bring it down just to kind of drape it around and then maybe finish it off just to finish it off now if you've got any other kinds of gems maybe you've got a little watch that you could put on key anything like that they would look really nice too and to finish off the back I'm just gonna cut the back part put the glue stick in to stop just kind of play about with it just so it lands where you want it to land again it's in a completely different place to where I'll put it the first time when I watch these videos back I always think oh no don't put it there put it somewhere else I bet you all think that too don't you when you're actually doing it sometimes you can't tell where the right place to put things when you're looking through a like a lens it's really really peculiar I'm just going to put a little bit of glue down the bottom at the back there so you can't see it and there we go that's it finished I think it looks really really pretty I don't want to put anything else on it because I think it looks really really nice as it is so that can go on a shelf or a Welsh dresser anywhere that you think in your home I just think that looks really really nice and they stand so much nicer with these plates on the bottom so that's the first one and now I'm just going to show you how to decorate the second one and that's this one ready to decorate now so we've got the larger plate at the bottom the little saucer there and to take up at the top and all I've done is put some of the moss around and we're going to decorate this when decorate is slightly different rather than the smaller flowers we're going to use some bigger bouquet flowers so it's just personal preference whether you prefer the smaller flowers or the larger ones and both of these bouquets came from the range so I've used this one before this pink one here you probably use me seen me use it in a few videos and I just picked up this one here which is the cream roses so what I'm going to do is take off some of the heads from a few of the bouquets and just kind of drop them around as we did before and just see you know what looks nice and which ones I want on and some of the smaller ones you know mix with some of the big ones and just don't decorate it the same way we did before [Music] okay so that's what the flowers done and what I'm gonna do now is just kind of bling and sparkle it up a little bit so I've knocked in my little pot of gems and sort of sparkly magpie pot and I've also got this decorative ribbon it's um this came from home bargains I think and I've just cut along one section and just made like em one sort of row of continuous Sparkle really so what I'm going to do is use some of these gems these are had in my stash for quite some time I've got two of these little and flowers there and some hearts I don't know where I got them from because I've had them as I say quite a long time and some what I'm going to do is put some glue on the back and pop these kind of through the designs so it just adds a little bit of sparkle to it as well put one down the bottom in this corner like a nice bit of glitter and as I say if you're doing one of these designs for Christmas then just change the just change the flowers and a fuse Christmassy kind of flowers and then you can put like some sparkly bits like this on it because I think they they look nice with sort of Christmas flowers as well so I'll leave that one off for a second and then I'll just bring this around the top it's quite hard to get you sort of fingers in the top hair without burning yourself because I've burnt myself there yeah that's no surprise there is it people so I'm just going to very carefully pull this through and try and sort of like hide it down behind the flower and then kind of just drape it drape it round and sort of through [Music] and there we are that's that one finished so I'm quite pleased with that one it's quite similar but using slightly different flowers and slightly different embellishments so let's put them both together and then they are so I'm quite happy quite pleased with how they turned out so if I just turn them to the side you kind of get the full effect there of the teacup and it looks like it's pouring and I think they hold up really really nice being on that term bottom plate as well so that's it thank you so much for watching if you haven't already subscribed subscribe to my channel then so that's it thank you so much for watching if you haven't already subscribed then please do and if you like this video please give it a thumbs up I'll
