today my making a quick little video showing you guys how to make these little window shade privacy covered things back of it's made out of the face of it's made out of reflectix so you know keeps the heat out we got some velcro tab so I'll close up place super simple but I got to make a couple more so I'll take I'll show you guys how to do it alright first thing you're gonna want to do is measure the base of your window this one is 20 inches by roughly 21 inches if your windows are a weird size just measure to the farthest outside point so then you can just cut a square and work your way out so this is what's left of our material dates Danis bought a big roll this stuff from meatball it's called reflectix it's kind of like tinfoil makes this bubble wrap yeah want to do is play it out [Music] once you have it all marked out this stuff is super easy they cut you can just cut up with a standard pair of scissors cut along the lines of the tree [Music] [Music] [Applause] so so once you have your face shape cut out and just hold it up against the window and kind of see how it fits as you can tell it doesn't fit very well so he's popped your scissors and trim it as needed [Music] so now it's all trim to size this is actually I mean some people would say this is good enough they kind of holds itself in there if you push it down in the corners but I'm gonna add some velcro on yeah I just uh just to give it a good solid hold now I bought a big long strip of this just velcro it's just it's a velcro brand I got this at Home Depot as well stick it together nice and even and you just cut little squares off like this roughly about an inch and a half maybe and then like four of those is good for this little window all right kind of like that so we now we got four little velcro tabs both front and back and all you want to do is peel off one of the edges and then just stick it in the corner or wherever you want it to be I'm gonna put mine up the top this but yeah make sure that you're only peeling off one of the sides so we'll just peel off one end stick it on there and then we'll leave the tape on this other side for now until we get all four Oh maaan there we go so now we got all four little velcro pieces on there you can take it peel off last peel off the other side of the tape [Music] push it up firm against the window and then you can do the same on the top peel off the little pieces [Music] and then when you want to remove it you can just peel it off Bellco comes right off and then there you go you can roll it up and tuck it out of the way or you can slide it under the mattress or do whatever you want with it but yeah all right so this thing works you know it'll give you privacy it'll keep the Sun out but it's very reflective and it's not the nicest to look at on the inside so I'm gonna take the inside and I'm gonna use some of this what is this super 77 spray foam or spray glue and spray the inside of it and put some fabric [Music] sheppy glue the fabric on there you should end up with something like this because I'm gonna do is flip it over and then just trim her out here around the edge don't like this so this is it once you get the fabric all trimmed you just shove it back in place and that's the finished product you can use whatever fabric you want I really like this map fabric I thought it was really cool but I didn't have enough left over to do any other windows but yeah this is that's it it puts the end result I'm super excited we're leaving here in a couple days we're working on packing up everything and sorting through all our stuff we got a whole bunch of garbage over here that we're working on but yeah if you like this hope you follow along and you can see us take this thing all over the place so please subscribe for more and check out some of our other videos thanks for watching
