How to make a steel knot by Bending Rebar - Prusik Knot - Without HEATING - Metalworking Project

[Music] this video was made because of a challenge from tom tom challenged me to make a prusik knot so i hope you like your knot tom thanks for the challenge mate i've got seven millimeter rebar and an old half inch bolt to bend it around which i've just cut the head off just a bit of pipe so so uh this is half inch rebar and that's what this knot is going to be slid on so i need it to fit so i'll get in there so we'll go with that that looks good so that's half the knot i'm just cleaning up a little bit so now we're getting he looks a lot better right so basically we've made half the knot now in the end of the night when it's finished this piece that's tracking up here will track straight across the top of the knot like that and over to the other side and there'll be a few curls and it'll come back out along this one so now to work out how long it is before i start doing the curls here i just measure from the outside of this to the outside of that and double it because it has to go right across the whole top of the knot and i give just a little bit a few mil just to give it that little bit extra um all right um [Applause] so see this is far further apart and that's because as i was bending it around it had to get above this one to be able to go around i'll just squash it in hmm so so this is where we're updating now what i'm gonna do is bend this down so these two will go down this will stretch across the top here and these two bars will touch each other so another bit of half inch rod an old bolt a little bit of pipe um mmm uh [Music] so okay so okay so yeah i'm happy how it turned out i'll give it a bit of a clean up with a wide brush and we'll see what it looks like so well i hope you enjoyed the video if you did please click like and if you're not a subscriber please subscribe there's more to come thank you you
