how to make a sling out of paracord

so in today's video we're going to be making a sling by the one David used to defeat Goliath now the first thing you want to do is take the paracord and fold it into an X ray why this then you want to take one end and pinch it tight and then take the excess paracord and make a loop around then you're going to take the end of the paracord and push it through the two hoops that you've just made and then you want to pull it tight okay so once you've done that you just want to flip it around do the exact same thing on the other side so loop it around and then push it through both of the holes and then pull it tight and you should be left with three strands of paracord that look something like this okay now you want to take some excess power cord and tie it to the piece that you're working on and then you just want to thread it through going under over under over and then you want to do the opposite coming back on yourself you're just going to keep doing that all the way down making sure that it's tight and you should end up with something that looks like this and all you do is tie your knot at the end costly access and then burn the end shot so they don't coincide okay now you want to tie a loop in the end of it that'll set over your middle finger like that and then on the other end you want to tie your knot and this is what you're going to hold on to and this will sort of act as you trigger so when you let go it'll throw the stone now I like to meet mindful drawl and as if I was shooting a bolt and that seems to be the right size for me but if you need it a bit smaller or a bit longer just add more paracord or take more away but whatever you do you need to make sure that the two lengths of paracord on either end are exactly the same size because if it's off just the tiniest bit it won't hold your stone and it will fall out like that yeah and that's not what you want or you'll knock yourself out I'll probably kill someone but it's all ready to go so let's test it out and I normally start with heavier stones because they're less likely to fly out than smaller ones okay so that worked really really good and it threw the stones superfast so my cameraman's kind of liked it and lets me with a tripod now set up this bottle about 25 feet away and I'm going to try and hit it try okay so now then watch look here but I'm just getting to show you how fast this film actually fly through the air yeah it's scary fast and see why they use these as weapons but considering a cap missing I blamed it on how dim it was in the wood so I went out to the bright opener and yeah that was a super fail so this is actually a lot more frustrating than a fire would be and it took me all day and I still didn't hit booty camp so I was going to show you my bowl but then I thought it it doesn't even deserve that and now I'm going to go back and do stuff that I can actually do because this is driving me crazy okay so I hope you liked this video and I hope you found it helpful leave your comments below and subscribe if you haven't because I'll have more bushcraft and survival videos coming soon so thanks for watching
