hey how's everybody doing today so today I just want to make a quick informative video on how you can make a green screen on the cheap now what is behind me now is basically a green construction paper that I got at Michaels arts and crafts I just taped it up on my wall behind me I bought six sheets and they're all each of each one each sheet is about like 28 inches by 22 inches there were 99 cents apiece so I basically just layered like six of them together and I put it on the back of my tape it against my wall not I've done some experiments because my question was like what color green do you have what color green do you actually need and so let me going to show you what I have here so basically this is what I'm recording off of them this right here and like I said this is - I like 28 inches by 22 inches and I'm actually overlapping here like an inch here an inch here I did like a really sloppy job and you can see that the tape I have here and I've done some experiments now you need something that's nice and smooth it doesn't matter if it's neon green or lime green or even this green right here this right here works perfectly fine I got this and Michael's and crafts - this is like 99 cents but it's a little bit smaller this is actually like rubber but this works perfectly fine now I got this big piece of green cardboard from Michael's arts or crafts as well I paid five dollars and 49 cents the thing is like this one here doesn't work too well because you can kind of see the grading on this it's not perfectly smooth so basically when I do the green screen with a cardboard it kind of like gives me that noise like all around like my edges and of course I also got the experimented with the the actual chroma key muslin backdrop fabric and I basically just tap it up on my wall here so but you know if you want to do a a green screen or cheap then just get something like this doesn't matter if it's like a neon green or lime green or like a little bit dark green or red or green it's going to work perfectly fine as long as it's just smooth okay it's not great II like the one down here also I experimented with this kind of a green sheet here you're going to get a lot of noise with this one here because you know why because there's not actually a green color so and if you're interested in the muslin chroma key I bought this this one's actually six foot by ten feet and you can kind of see it basically goes all the way up like that and I top it against the wall and here let me just go ahead and it comes with these clamps here I paid like twenty-two or twenty-three dollars but I'll go ahead and I'll put a link below on the Amazon where I got this and actually came with I think it came with like six of these clips because the thing was like I was going to get a stand of like a backdrop stand where you put this over but I didn't want to get the stand because if you get to stand like the actual green is not going to be flush against the wall it's going to be like two feet away from the wall and I'm like in a room that's like very very small so I needed to make you know rooming as efficient as possible so I wanted something else a flush against the wall and basically you know let me show you the green here and this one is by Tempe so it actually goes all the way down so if you want to show your feet and everything like that another thing is to is if you're going to do the green screen you need some kind of like light now if you have like good natural light then it's going to be like no problem but for me like it's nighttime right now and you want to make it like kind of even and the thing is that I can't be too close like this because then you're going to get too too many hard shadows you see the harsh shadows here and around my head but if I go up a little bit more and that shadow is like a little bit light that's perfectly fine oh that's pretty much it because I have questions or anything she does comment below and I hope this video helped somebody else thanks bye
