How to Make a Chroma Sphere from Epoxy Resin - much Quicker and Easier than the Chroma Cube..!

This time I'm using both of the available colours of dichroic film - link in the description You need to remove a piece of film from the backing paper, and stick it to a piece of acetate... Sometimes called transparency film or OHP film A piece of masking tape can help to lift the backing paper Apply one end of the dichroic film first, then smooth it down to avoid trapped air Now cut the film into strips of about 10mm or less Good thing I had my nails done :P Fold the strip into a zig zag then press firmly to retain the shape For those of you who keep asking those are man hands I pity any girl who has big shovels like those XD Make a few of these in each colour This is a 60mm silicone sphere mould off eBay Cut the film into shorter lengths of about 3 zig zags each then put them into both halves of the mould Try to mix them up in different directions to fill the mould without squashing them The best way to close the mould is... quickly This style of mould must be sealed with hot melt glue or it will leak Trust me, I know For this project I'm using GlassCast 50, which is a casting resin suitable for deeper pours This resin has a 100A:45B mix ratio by weight, so if you add 100g of part A you must add 45g of part B For odd amounts, Alexa helps me to work that out when she feels like it :/ Do you think I can pour all that resin into the tiny hole without spilling it? YES, Hah!! This resin needs a full 24 hours in a warm place to cure Time for some climactic music for the big reveal :) Snip away the flashing with flush cutters, and polish if desired You cannot honestly say that was tedious!
