How To Make a ADVANCED FNAF Game on Scratch

hello everybody welcome to the first episode on how to make your very own financial for this game on scratch um for this tutorial this is actually going to be the advanced uh version so some of the things you see in this video are going to be a little different from the other series but yeah let's not waste any more time and get straight into this but first if you guys can uh make sure to subscribe to the channel i will really appreciate it um if you reach um four point 35k subscribers then i will do part two anyways let's get started the first thing we're gonna do is uh make a sprite this is going to be our warning load so just make this huge box and we're going to change the color we're not going to make it all the way dark we're just going to have it we need the brightness at eight now we're going to make our text the best text use is our font would be this one this is the the best one so make sure you use this so we're gonna put warning right here um so there you go warning put it right in the middle actually a little bit above let's change this a little bit actually this just like that okay warning and then this whoops this game contains flashing lights loud noises and lots of skirts trying to find the center okay there you go we got our got our warning text so this calls us warning text all right now we gotta script this so let's make it go to zero zero like this now we're gonna do something a little bit different so we're gonna go back to our costumes and we're gonna make uh we're gonna make a separate costume now what are we gonna do we're gonna add a glitchy i guess you can say like a glitch effect to the warning so first you want to do again make a costume and convert it to bitmap now let me cover the burp map to bitmap we have all these um tools here we're just gonna use this tool right here and we're gonna take we're gonna do it just like this so we're gonna take half of the text and we're gonna drag it just like that there you go pretty much like that you can do the same exact thing to the other text it's like this now you can take the top piece or the bottom piece it does not matter and there you go um now let's just fill in the gaps so there you go and now again i'll just convert this back to um the other one take a different costume convert to bitmap again and you can do the same exact thing but you're going to do the other ways so again our warning whoops a warning whoa there's a glitch there there you go all right let me try that again just take the top piece this time make that there you go now all we're going to do is fill this in and there you go so convert it back to vector just like that now uh let me change the backdrop to the other color there we go now we're going to make the script to this so when the flag is clicked um where is it okay set goes to 100 we're gonna make the the fade script so if you already know how to do this you can skip ahead please i don't uh my flag is collect set the ghost to 100 repeat 100 times um actually we're not going to do that change the ghost effect by two okay so there you go now we're just gonna wait about three seconds then it fades away just like that all right now we gotta add a script for the little glitchy effect so again when flag is clicked forever go to costume one wait we're gonna go to operators and uh one two three just like that then again we're gonna get another one then the switch cost switch to costume two and then switch to cost me three so there you go now if we press this look at that we have our warning now what if we want to go a bit further we want to make it look a lot nicer first of all let's turn down the glitch effect so let me add wait one second so there you go perfect all right nice all right now let's say we want to make this look a bit better so what we're going to do is add the dust the little dust effect or the particles so we're going to make a new sprite i'm going to might want to zoom in on this because we're going to make a circle all right just make a tiny circle just like this and let's make it there you go there's a little dot right in the middle just like that now let's make our scripts so when flag is clicked go to front um forever go to front going forward once we're gonna we're gonna keep it like that now let's take away these two bits forever wait one second and then we're gonna go down here and create a clone of myself now again oh whoops now when i start as a clone i mean all these go to frontline are necessary but i'm going to add them anyways go to front layer uh we need a set set brightness set ghost okay we're gonna add another front layer okay we're going to get pick randoms this one is going to be uh negative 10 to negative 50. this one is going to be 50 270 and we're gonna put that right there okay let's make this show set size set size pick random again now we want it to be 30 to 50 percent and then go to again get another operator or another pick random go to negative 241 then pick random native um one seven two two one seven two there you go now we are almost done now we need a say we need a glide okay so again get our operators like this and put them like this make sure you you leave out the x so pick random four uh whoops four oh my god four to nine seconds uh 236 and then i'm pretty sure we just leave that and you press i mean you get hide and delete this clone so this should be your script for the thing also you can make sure to press hide so you can hide that little thing and rename this dust so now when we click the flag there you go we have our dust it's going everywhere perfect now back to our warning text also if you guys want to uh you can make you can also make another warning text but except it mean you know the actual warning text it can be um you know you can put your name on it like if you go to one of my games one of my remastered games um you can see i put like you know made by then my username and stuff like that so you can do that also but yeah so the next step that we are going to do is make the main menu so um first before we do that we gotta add a broadcast right here so we're gonna broadcast warning morning text okay morning text then for our dust when we see warning test warning text we want to sub other scripts and sprite and to hide let's see if this works i need to see if this will actually work so there you go our morning tick's actually looking very very nice so far okay yeah it stops perfect all right so when we receive warning to oh yeah i forgot me to add the username for this um five nights at actually like this let's put this to zero zero first okay we're gonna we're just gonna leave it like this just like that okay we can hide and receive warning text wait two seconds and show okay so we're going to call this the title and now for the next step is to make our animatronic now i'm going to make our animatronic differently in this video so um yeah if you guys want to see because i want uh some tips that make good looking animatronics make sure to not skate forward now um if you actually want to get better at um making costumes and stuff in general on scratch it's actually easy it takes practice um normally uh people won't use the outline feature like i don't know if you want to use outline you can you know use outline but i think it's best not to use outline at all when you're making anything actually and also the saturation the saturation changes uh dramatically it changes a lot on how something is going to look because if you have the saturation only to 100 you know it might look a little weird but if you turn it down just a little bit to like at least 50 you know it will look a lot better trust me so and this goes with everything all right disco was absolutely everything when you're making you know they offer something keep keep the saturation down it's best to have it all the way down and have it you know all the way up to 100 trust me you'll thank me later so to make an animatronic we're going to start with a circle we're going to grab this piece right here and then we're going to use this feature or this thingy to uh to push the circle um to extend it like this just like that now we're gonna make the oh we're gonna make the mouth so gotta first gonna start with a circle uh let's make this a little bigger just like that now this piece right here he's gonna these two pieces that are right next to this one circle you're gonna extend it like this it looks bad don't worry you know practicing is perfect just keep on making animatronics like this and trust me it's going to look really really good you know extend it a little bit like that this top piece push it up it's right there where it's flat and then make this like that there you go it's it's uh if you can't get this correctly don't worry it takes a lot of practice just keep making animatronics just like this and you'll get better and better make the mouth big like this there you go now we're gonna click on the head and you're going to get the eraser because we're actually going to take this entire bottom part right here to fit the the mouth there you go now for the middle right here to fill it we're going to add the nose again don't have it uh all the way as you can see we only have the head and it's already looking good it's already looking good again use this little tool to push up the nose like this and for the bottom piece just flatten it out just like that if you want to you can also add like a little white spot right here you know just a teeny teeny tiny little white spot right there that's if you want to but i'm not going to add it right now and then now we're going to add the two eyes so i'm going to make this little little smaller add the eyes whoops all right um i don't know if i actually want the nose to extend but i'm just going to keep it like that okay now for the eyes again i'm going to extend the eyes like this there you go now again i don't know i forgot what eye color harold has but i'm just going to guess is blue i'm pretty sure it's blue there's no way it's not blue it's not blue then i'm going to be embarrassed everybody's gonna call me on this video saying how bad i am so i gotta make sure i get this correctly okay perfect now we're going to add the white spot which is this thing right here so uh add both of these if you want you can add another one like this you know you could do that but yeah look this is our character so far we gotta add eyebrows to make our eyebrows we first start with a circle we use this uh tool again this tool is comes in handy a lot when you're making animatronics make sure you're using that a lot i'm gonna extend this back piece and then we're just gonna um flex this okay what the hell is this oh i just got an amber alert oh that's not good okay so we're just gonna make the eyebrows anybody here i i hate amber alert amber alerts are scary i hate the noise the emergency noise dude it's so annoying it's so so like it just sucks okay i it just haunts me so we're gonna make the eyebrows and um yeah now let's make the it's not like right here now i don't know if i want to make this note like this i want to make it like dark i think i'm just going to leave it like this i think it looks it looks fine like that okay so we're gonna add like the three little dots so there you go that looks perfect now we're missing um the ears should not think about it i don't think he even had blue eyes i think he just had black eyes but it's whatever actually let's make this look interesting let's add you know animatronic parts on them it takes time to make animatronics but it'll all be worth it because after you have your animatronic you pretty much you know have everything you need to um when you want them on the cameras and stuff you can they're just cutting pieces so it's a lot better now here's a trick that you could do if you want to make it make your animatronic look creepier uh follow the steps right now give them eyebrows to make them eyebrows you first start with a a square and you paint the same color as the the outside of the eye and you grab this little piece right here and you pretty much extend it like uh like this just like that kind of like how you would make the the monitor just like that and then you can extend it whoops and like that there you go um that's how you can i wouldn't say i don't know if i set up eyebrows but um you can just change jazz a little bit and there you go if you want you can give him a hat you know get give uh just give him something to make him look more interesting okay now we're gonna make uh my of the mouthful is actually we're gonna make it look different i'm just gonna cut i'm gonna copy and paste this piece right here and we're gonna extend these two parts right here we're gonna extend these and pretty much actually nevermind this wouldn't work that would work um start with a rectangle first uh use this thingy to push the mouth like this and just pretty much follow what i do make this curve both these sides like this and there you go just like that it looks a little bit weird but trust me it's gonna look a lot better there we go i think this little those toppings right here might be a tad bit bigger there you go that looks that looks perfect now again we're going to copy the color of the eyes make this giant rectangle and put it all the way in the back and then push these out like this and there you go now we it's looking better it's looking a lot better um let me change actually now let's clear the same color here there he goes i got and then give him the teeth one two three whoa whoa i was pressing the wrong thing that's why i will okay and then pretty much repeat the bottom piece oh my god thief looks a little bit weird right now it's kind of like it's sinking right into his thing i think i'm gonna fix that there you go a lot better so now we have the head of our animatronic now actually imma close this can i actually close this bottom piece right here yeah that's that's close enough yeah i think i have a better idea i want to test something where did this actually work make sure you experiment with your uh was your animatronic you next test some of the things out test things you know see what works what doesn't work and the uh uh let's let's see trying to see i can give him like extra teeth in the back like in the and finds freddy's two whoa okay um i don't think this would work i think i'm just gonna keep let me see what would look like this yeah i think i'm gonna keep it like this i think this looks this looks better now um we're gonna give him a body so i'm just gonna copy this color start the box like this now for this bottom part just extend it and this the top part we're gonna push it in like that it's gonna look a little bit weird but it's gonna work hopefully perfect okay now we're gonna make the arms we're not gonna make the legs right now we could make the legs uh i might finish the legs after i'm done with this uh throughout this tutorial but i don't know let me in the video if you guys uh want me to make the entire body so i can show you guys how it supposed to look yeah just start the arms there you go we're almost done making character i want to see how okay we'll talk about data like this yeah no i'm just going to keep it like this like a little weird right now but i'm just going to stick to it now the hands the hands i'm gonna start with this rectangle make the circle for this piece right here and then the end let's give him three fingers four fingers there we go then the hands go in actually have a better idea let's actually copy and paste the arm right on the anatomic then there you go we have our animatronic or animatronic looks a little bit weird right now i'm being honest but whatever just put this to zero zero scoop this up just like that and then whoa i forgot to coop the head okay there we go i love it paste it i do not can't reach us let me try this again i gotta set okay okay there we go i could have done that the entire time okay there you go oops um we're gonna change the eyes because once you can actually keep the eyes like this this actually looks creepy enough delete all of those oh yeah i'm just gonna keep going like this okay we got a character now we're going to script them make him go to the back layer forever um oh wait see warning text wait two seconds show then receive warning text again forever stretch to costume one wait three to five seconds costume two question three reaction repeated two times like this should work okay perfect all right now um if we actually wanted to we can make um we can actually make this movie if you actually wanted to all we have to do is um seriously warning text forever set x y and then i'm gonna go to our operators and we're gonna go over here mouse x set x to mouse x to y to set y to minus y and then you would change it to whatever you like i'm gonna put um make sure it's negative also it's like this negative 0.2 moves a little bit too much i'm gonna change it 0.1 0.01 let me try here that's perfect i'm gonna do this also yeah you can you can pretty much make this move if you want to um make it let's make this move to make them different actually you know make make them move differently it looks a lot better if they move differently and then it moves you know together at least that's in my opinion mine my opinion i think it looks better if one another moves differently makes it look like i don't know just looks a lot better i rename this herald and we're not done yet with harold who's harold um we're actually going to change this going to add like a little darkness so eat whoops just like this and then again darkness like this there you go all you gotta do is copy paste paste sending was here copy paste and then again paste actually this changes juicing with this one oh never mind yeah let's keep it like that perfect yeah you can also do this you know make it make it move make it look unique now time for the credits the credits will put it down here and when you're making a game like also yeah when you're making a game you know don't have such big text like i know i seen games where people like they will have their night ones or whatever like their nights or anything really their texts would be like this huge they gonna fill the whole screen come on keep it nice and simple keep it nice and you know just normal sized it doesn't have to be all big in into their faces it actually looks a lot nicer when you have it normal sized so um i'm gonna call we're gonna put version right here i'll capitalize a version version one point zero point zero like this okay it doesn't show but no need to worry about that now created i'm just going to put made by made by and then your username again first now for the made by make sure your name is actually bigger goodbye candy isn't here bring them together like this oh whoa my game's lagging okay there you go make sure to get them up there we go great them like this that's the same exact thing now when you click um here let me press this again actually so we got our warning text looks how look how a lot better this is this does not look a lot better i also have a fix for this if you guys actually don't like that we're not done with our main menu yet if you guys were thinking where um when you scratch the surface of it so yeah this is what we have right now looks all looks really really cool you gotta be honest it looks very very cool now uh we gotta add our um the sister location static i'm sure call it static you can search up on google you know for a static or whatever and then yeah this is the only thing i don't think i'm gonna make it i'm gonna make move so again hide and then show this time make it go um front layer change size to 150 and then uh oh yeah we gotta set our ghost to what can we set it to let's set it to 85 is that good 65 okay 70 somebody is good just like that now let's click it again look at that absolutely stunning that looks amazing okay there you go now the next step is to uh make a move obviously so get your warning text again forever then next costume right here we gotta do is click on it there we go if it's too much static remember you can always bring it up so i'm pressing this again i have to admit that this does look really nice okay let's try 85. as we're doing that we're going to add our static line right here for our static line we're gonna add a line starting all the way from the top right here so put it all the way over there and then add your top i've got the colors hurts okay now i forgot okay okay so first get your warning text go to front layer we're going to add our zero zero again set ghost to 89 again we want this to show repeat about 403 times to we want to change the y by zero point we don't know negative negative 0.09 oh nevermind i mean negative 0.9 hide and broadcast as static line you're going to do the same exact thing i'm going to copy and paste but you're just going to put that online like that press the green flag and let's now see how our um how it looks oh wait wait let me see that again i think the all right sure it was showing before it could even can even show that's a little bit weird okay let's try again that is lower okay let's take this out always because of this script oh i'm so dumb it's making it show instantly this first script right here it was it's what's making it not work so there there you go we found the problem now let's try again there you go yeah make sure you make sure you spot a little glitches like that hmm again did not work let's get this one out also let's see what works that is strange it should be working should be working okay there it is let's try this again and it just shows that is a little bit weird it should not be doing that ah that's a little weird how about then okay let's try this let's try that let's try adding two seconds in the beginning let's see if that would work okay there you go i think i fixed it let's add a show there you go all right now i think now it should be working uh yeah everything should be working correctly oh okay nevermind that didn't go as but uh yeah everything is looking good so far it's it's been about 53 minutes thing it didn't feel like 53 minutes only like 20 minutes but because because of the the animatronic they'll be working on i guess it makes it takes a lot of time but yeah i'm gonna duplicate this but i'm gonna change this because we're gonna now we're gonna make the little static movement here so we're first gonna start with two of these and then again we're gonna make this little animation right here show and then warning text forever wait let's go our operators make this one the two cost one three four and five let's try this let's hope that this oh yeah it looks like it's working so this makes us look a lot better let's i think it looks a lot better you don't have to have this if you don't want to actually nothing but i think i'm gonna have it but that's uh there's a little trick that you guys can add if you guys want to um anyways we're almost an hour into this and i really don't want this to reach an hour so we got we're gonna hurry up with this so first thing we're gonna do is make our new menu or a new game put zero zero your game is going to start right here but first um let me take with a static line just keep this attic line if you want to again just just keep the static line if you want to you don't have to take it off okay and again let me change this color to a dark gray like this there you go right now this this gray this gray part right here is supposed to be the the background so you don't see the actual thing um what's the backdrop color that's a little weird so it's a little weird i don't know why i have to keep doing this but it's super annoying whatever i'm just going to leave it i'm just going to play those i'm fix this later actually you know i forget i'm just gonna takes a lot of time the only reason why this the video is long it's because i was making the animatronic but yeah let's rename this new game now again hide well go to zero zero okay there we go forever f go to costume2 else go to costume1 and there you go look at that works perfectly now we're going to do the same exact thing go with the continue not to change something though i'm going to copy this so for this okay there we go um i'm just gonna close continue let's press play and see what we have came up with also i forgot something there you go so this is the main menu of your game so we got the warning text all the dust a little glitchy effects on the warning there go those beers and then uh there you go we're actually missing one more thing i forgot to add we're gonna add the little fade and fade out feature so here we go make this high go to zero zero we're going to make this forever go to front layer there we go when we receive warning wait two seconds set the goes to 100 forever actually no not forever um repeat 100 times change goes by whatever you want hide let's see those works now oh yeah also i forgot something fade oh no nevermind there you go i fix it show okay let's try one change ghost effect by one and there you go that is a lot better now you cannot say that this does not look amazing so i'm gonna walk you through it so we got our fade in our warning sign that's glitching out with dust all the way in the back looking very very nice already and then once it disappears two seconds in fades out and then we're now greeted with five nights at heralds and we can also move around and it moves uh everything around so yeah um they know if you're satisfied with this i am pretty satisfied this is amazing let's go our new gaming continue looking fresh looking nice everything's looking very very nice so yeah let me know if um if i should keep going with this series and uh if you want to see part two on this then um let's see if we can reach four point uh 35k i'm gonna put it right here anyways there you go four point
