looping cloth in blender add a plane and scale it and add an edge loop and subdivide it now turn on cloth in the physics tab select the vertices on one edge add a vertex group assign them and call it pin select that vertex group as the pin group in the cloth settings [Music] add a wind object from the force field tab [Music] the cloth settings take a lot of adjusting so here's the ones i used [Music] also i had to turn the wind strength to like 5 000 for it to actually look like wind give it a generous frame range and hit bake it's important to enable this default add-on to input mtd files now press file export and choose light wave point cache [Music] add a new collection and call it whatever you want now duplicate the cloth and move it to the new collection you just made now with your cloth selected choose file import light wave point cache choose the file from before the transforms will probably be messed up so just line it up by hand [Music] open up the nla editor and turn the keyframes into a new nla track [Music] move the nla trap to the left so that the first frame is in the middle of the simulation about 40 frames worked for me duplicate the track with shift [Music] since we moved the bottom track to the left frame 0 of the bottom track should be identical to frame 40 of the top track [Music] therefore if we line up frame 40 of the top track at the end of the bottom track the last frame and first frame should be the same and therefore the animation will loop here we can see the last frame in first frame why not perfect in the side panel turn on animated influence and keyframe the influence of the top track so it fades [Music] set the start and end frame of your timeline to line up with your animation and now it should loop [Music]
