How to Locate Crappie - Fast!

so how do you find brand-new crappie fishing spots on a lake that's what we're going to be doing today and it's coming up right now in this video [Music] hey guys this is Paul Potter welcome back to the channel glad you guys are with us if this is your first time here this channel is all about helping you increase your crappie fishing catch rate by sharing tricks and techniques that I use as a crappie fishing guide here on Grand Lake in Oklahoma so last week I started a series on how to find new crappie fishing spots and you know what guys it's been amazing every single time we come out here we have been able to follow the channel look for the channel bins and find these crappie this this Lake is absolutely amazing right now what I'm looking for is just them looking in the mouths of coves and kind of Midway up back into a Cove under docks that's where we're gonna be looking for crappie because that's where they should be right now they should start they should be starting to make their fall move you know they can fill the weather changing they know something's coming they know Falls around the corner so they're going to start moving back into these coves so we're just going to slowly follow them out of their summer pattern which is these which is this main lake by the channel deep brush piles are going to start moving shallower back into these coves and into the mouth of coves eventually Midway back to the coves and then eventually all the way to the very back and basically what it's doing is we're just following the bait fish that's where the bait fish are so guys let's go fishing [Music] look oh yeah there's some fish out there Lynette right under there boys look at that oh my gosh oh yeah so there's definitely some trees and structure right there that's what it looks like on your screen okay yes let's go back and catch these fish they're right underneath that book dock right there BAM alright I think we're just gonna go park like right here and shoot the live scope up in there and we'll probably just have to swing to swing the bait under there to go catch some fish so yes let's go catch them guys let's go catch some fish [Music] which polls here and use my shorter poll so I can actually flip it up under there and bring it back so I don't have to actually stick the pole under there I'm gonna do is back up a tiny bit okay [Music] just lick that sucker up in there there he is up there come on boy get under here come on get out of there big old crappy right there yeah whoo that big ol slab just like that he just tucked up underneath that dock ooh look at that look at that fish off and a bad fish huh not a bad fish Grand Lake slabber there so let him go double backflip I'm sorry dude I already got a fish right there got one here he comes Oh Ernie that dock just like that one right there select this guy go okay guys that's it for today we win found a new spot back into these coves late summer fall is coming as falls coming they're gonna start moving back up in the back half of these coves under the docks so go catch them guys make sure and hit the subscribe button go check out some other videos thanks for tuning in today we'll talk to you next time
