How to listen to TV through Stereo Receiver

okay if you want to listen to your TV through your stereo and you have a receiver that's either a lower line receiver or a cheaper receiver there are several things you'll need a you'll need a TV that will have a RCA output usually it's just a red and a white okay the output will have to go out and then into your receiver you can use either the DVD in or sometimes it they'll have one that will actually say TV in so that'll be one of the ways you can do it the other way is a lot of the newer TVs have optical output optical output you'll need a special cable you can get those on eBay or Amazon you can get them in differently it's like three five six foot whatnot it's really easy because instead of two cables that are bigger it's one cable with your audio output and your receiver will have to have what's called a digital input and that you'll pull out the little protector because you don't hold us getting there the signal works through light through light visible light and it's very clean signal so you'll put your audio from your TV out to your receiver in and then on the front of the receiver you'll choose optical input and your receiver will pick up the signal that you're listening to through your TV it is a great way to have home stereo this receiver does not have HDMI input if you have a HDMI TV and HTML home theater receiver there'll be a jack on the back that'll say HDMI output and you'll go from that output to the TV then all your other inputs will be on the back of your receiver so what I'm saying is your input from your cable box your DVD or beat or blu-ray player your whatever other video sources you have will plug into this and you'll choose it all from the front of your audio/video home theater receiver okay this one does not have it this one is a middle line with the digital input this one does have a subwoofer output as well now another thing is and maybe we'll say that for a different video but anyway so that's how you hook up to watch a to listen to your TV through your stereo
