but most important look he comes and wear it like a gold medal i always talk about you know the dog needs to feel like he's winning something okay so today we are going to talk about puppies i'm going to give you tips of how we're going to introduce the leash to bison bison has not uh were at least one second one day since he was born this is going to be the first time in his beautiful three months of age life where he's going to experience the leash now adaptation is a very important word to remember because they need to adapt to something foreign so a dog needs to adapt themselves to a new home to objects and to the new people so that's the concept of adaptation number three is the imprint is he calm about it is he open about it is he happy about it is he confident about it right and then the number three will be the the repetitions so that at that point he will learn to identify the leech means going for a walk the leash means safety the leech means trust the leech means confidence you know if if a dog is a dog show dog the leash need to represent confidence if a dog is going to track the leash is going to represent tracking if a dog is going to pull the leash is going to represent pulling so something positive need to represent and his spirit and his instincts and in his heart in order for his intelligence to absorb it in a positive way so this is going to be his first day your energy has to be positive i'm not overly excited with him i'm overly excited with you guys because i want you guys to be in a super happy-go-lucky state internally you don't have to speak uh to a dog when you when you're about to train a dog or when you're about to connect with a dog speak this way but you can feel the calmness you can feel the confidence you can feel the love and you can feel the joy without saying anything about it this is how it looks like all right guys this exercise is super simple you need four things you need obviously a puppy you need a table you need a leash and you need your treats don't forget your good energy calm confident love and joy patience always creativity and that's pretty much it [Applause] as you can see it's plenty of excitement just by the smell of the food that sixty percent of the brain my energy even though i was quiet that is creates excitement if i add sound into it i will take it to another level of excitement that's not a healthy one by the way so you don't want to start an imprint or rehabilitation or training in a very excited way i personally don't i recommend not to start at level 10 i recommend to start from zero to 10. okay all right so do not feel worrying do not feel tense do not feel any kind of negativity as you as the moment of you create an adaptation and imprint otherwise your repetitions are going to depend on the way you adapt them and the way you imprint it okay so as you see he's curious about it look so this is visual then you bring the smell see he has no idea that he's putting himself through the loop now he's wearing it he's feeling it you let him feel it you take it off this is about him feeling the the uh the uh the rope the leash right but most important look he comes and wear it like a gold medal i always talk about you know the dog needs to feel like he's winning something he's a gold medalist he's the he's the olympian right so he have to be very proud very excited you know you don't want to lose the connection you don't want to lose the communication you don't want to lose the relationship look at this he is coming in to look wear it here is oh there you go and remember i'm gonna give you a tip about pugs and and and bulldogs and frenchies and anything that has paginosis the more quiet you stay the more the little nose works now i like to work on tables because it allows them to have a boundary and they learn that there's an empty space and they have to step behind so the focus is more towards the handler if you do it on the floor you lose the focus because they get distracted right away especially puppies but once you put them on tables don't worry about it you can start with something you know a smaller something that is not so so height so if you uh if you're gonna worry about it i personally don't practice worriness because i know they use common sense right they use common sense so they know not to get out of the table that allows them also to at the same time to practice point of reference eventually we can move uh this table into one of this as you see i help a little bit he have to do the rest this is 50 50. i'm not doing this by myself look see that's a point of reference so eventually you move it into the point of reference that everybody knows that is that is uh uh for training purposes there you go and there then you put the season milan leash because that's the only one that makes them feel calm confident they feel like a show dog they feel i can connect communicate and have a greater relationship and they feel super cute and they you get to love them very much i hope you enjoy the tip it needs to feel natural simple and profound spirit instinct and heart and this is the icing on the cake the little treat enjoy guys i hope you enjoyed the video make sure you like subscribe and comment and join me in my mission of better humans better planet
