music hi I'm Laura the founder of MOMables.com where I help parents make fresh lunches and food their kids will love and today we are going to learn how to make fresh berries last longer in your fridge It's super important to wash your berries as soon as you can but if you just can't get to it, store them in the fridge until you are ready to wash them over time, I've simplified the washing process to filling my salad spinner with water, vinegar (about 1 cup) and a few drops of dish soap. after a few minutes of soaking, we give it a quick spin and give them a good rinse next, we carefully remove the berries from the spinner and lay the berries out to dry on a clean towel once they are fully dry, I transfer them to a container where they will breathe and not sit wet at the bottom Or, you can also line the original clamshell after it's been cleaned with a paper towel refrigeration is key, so once your berries are washed, store them in the fridge and enjoy them for days to come.
