do you work all week long only to wake up on Saturday morning filled with Dread because now you have to clean your whole house this used to be me I used to spend my entire weekend cleaning and then I would get resentful and to tab it off my house would actually only stay clean on the weekends and then throughout the week it would get messy all over again today I'm sharing what I did to change all of that I am actually no longer spending my weekends cleaning my house is cleaner than ever I've just changed a few things I've got some tips and tricks for you if you are having the same problem as I did the first tip is you need to prioritize in your mind like what needs to be the cleanest in your house I recommend like picking a couple of rooms or picking a couple of tasks that that are your priority and you're going to focus on them that could be like your kitchens and your bathrooms those are typically the dirtiest rooms in your home anyway but you do need to prioritize what to clean because if you're going to say like well I need my baseboards cleaned all the time and I need this cleaned all the time and like these tasks that maybe don't make as much of an impact then you're never going to be able to get on top of it so you really need to think about what is important to you to have clean and then that's where you focus I also regularly employ time-saving cleaning techniques if you have watched my channel before you know how much I love this and how much I rely on these time-saving things to get me through I love streamlining routines to save time I love using products and tools that help me save time I have a million ideas here but let me just give you a few one thing I use a multi-purpose cleaner for almost everything I do not mess around with like 10 different cleaners for 10 different rooms no I have one spray that does the job I even make it myself I make it with water soap and a little bit of vinegar and that just does the trick you could make multiple versions of this if you want to store it in different rooms or different areas of your home but my tip is don't go crazy with cleaning products and and honestly I do a lot of cleaning content on YouTube and even I do not need all kinds of cleaning products another thing I do is I use a robot vacuum you may have one but if you don't just trust me on this I love my Robot vacuum so much it truly changed my life I will link the one that I use mine's old so they don't actually have the exact one but I'll link an upgraded version these have come down in price you can run these when you're not home you can run them when you are home it doesn't matter it will clean your floors and the best part is it will go on your hard floors it will go on your carpets it will go on your area rugs it will not fall down the steps and and actually the real best part is it goes under your couches it goes under your furniture I mean who's wanting to move their couch every weekend right turn the little guy on and let him go while you just relax and enjoy yourself I also rely on a steam cleaner I just find this to be so versatile I even did a whole video on it I will put the card up in case you want to watch it after this video I use it to clean like different surfaces you can clean your walls your baseboards you can clean your floors you can even use like a different attachment and clean your counters you can clean your mirrors your windows the front of your refrigerator inside your refrigerator your oven I mean really it's truly versatile you just plug it in you can go to town I especially love using on my floors I think it gets them really clean and I'm not a huge fan of using like chemicals or all of these different cleaning products so I think the steam cleaner is really useful because it it does not only the cleaning it also does the disinfecting from the heat I also do things like cleaning the shower while while I'm in it I just make a homemade cleaner of again the soap water and vinegar and then I just spray the whole shower down I get in the shower I clean the shower I clean myself all done if you enjoy this kind of content go ahead and click that subscribe button it's free I make videos twice a week my next tip here to get it all done and while you're working is to delegate I feel like this is something that people just Overlook and a lot of us like to maybe do it ourselves maybe we feel like we do it the best I hear you but you need to delegate if you've got other people living in your home it is not just your responsibility to keep it clean whether that's delegating to your partner your kids whoever's in the house with you you need to come up with an agreement on like these are the tasks that you're going to do these are the tasks that I'm going to do this is when we're going to do them and it will it will go a long way and let me just say a couple things if you do have kids your kids need to help we have been I've got three kids and I've been making them help out my husband as well with chores since they were four years old you may think that's too young I can assure you it is the perfect age they can do things like vacuum emptying the dishwasher they could clean the toilet they could fold the laundry and I will say if you've got multiple kids don't always default to having your older kids do the tasks I see that a lot and you really want to distribute the tasks evenly among all of the kids you want to make sure that the younger kids are doing their fair share a lot of times you know the older ones they'll do it quicker and better and so I know that like as the default they're like oh you do this task because you're old older and I know you'll do it quickly and if you've got boys and girls equally teach them to do these chores trust me their future Partners will thank you you don't want to just teach your girls how to fold laundry and teach your boys how to empty the garbage teach them all how to do all of these things so that they are equipped and ready to go out into the world and even better you don't have to do these things this next one may not be as appealing but it is going to be very helpful and very useful and it is to create a cleaning schedule this will really help you a lot it has helped me so much not only did it help me identify the things that I need to do each week but just by like identifying the days that I'm going going to have to do them it really like reduced the mental load where cuz before I was just like halfhazard cleaning like I'd be like oh I'll just clean the stove top today and then the next day I'd be like well maybe I'll do the floor now I don't know and it just really was kind of all over the place now I do specific tasks on specific days I just inherently now it's become a habit I know which days I'm going to be doing things this way too I'm kind of dividing the work up throughout the week so then I don't get to the weekend and I have everything to do so listen I'm going to put up here these are some things that I do and on which days I do them just to give you some ideas obviously tailor it to your own schedule pick the days that you want to do things and actually pick the tasks that you want to do because you may have different tasks but just kind of pick some big tasks you can get done throughout the week I mean you can find five minutes to do these things and just get it all done so you're not leaving it all for that Saturday and Sunday the next thing I need to say is clutter is your enemy when it comes to keeping your home clean and tidy I've done a ton of videos on clutter I personally struggle with clutter I am definitely trying to get a handle on it because I have learned over the years that a clutter-free home is by far the easiest home to keep clean after this video I will link some content on decluttering but if you are struggling with clutter my tip here is get rid of things you don't use get rid of things that you don't want you could just get a garbage bag like a black garbage bag go through each room and pick things from each room that you no longer use that you don't want to keep you know go in your kitchen like what appliances do you have that you're not using and that you can donate do you have duplicates of utensils duplicates of other items how many mugs do you have think about paper clutter that is really hard to clean around like moving and cleaning around paper clutter is such a pain think of all of the flat surfaces in your home that are piled with stuff how can you get that get those piles off thinking about your living room all the extra Decor or knickknacks I kind of just see these now as dust magnets so what can you kind of get rid of in these rooms do you have lots of throw pillows and then when you're done figure out where everything goes and where you're going to store it you don't want to just have something just sitting out you you really want it to have a place where you keep it and you just remember where you keep it and then that will really help you to keep that room clean maybe figure out some storage systems one of the things that we had to do when we moved into our home we did not have a pantry so we were just using like a couple cabinets to store food and then we started having more kids and of course kids lik to eat so we'd have more food at one point I bought a hutch and I was storing our food in the hutch then there was too much so it was going on top of the hutch then it was going on top of the washing machine and then the dryer on top of the refrigerator we just got so fed up it just the kitchen in the house was looking like a mess because of all of this food we ended up having a pantry built I'm not saying you need to go so far but that pantry it is full of food we don't have food sitting out it has made our kitchen a 100 times cleaner so if there are things you can do to really get a hold of like your stuff and your and have a storage place it will really go a long way get a large garbage can with a lid this is something I swear by we've got a really big garbage can in our kitchen it's got a lid we only empty it once a week the reason reason why I'm saying to have a lid is a room instantly looks cleaner if you don't see garbage I don't know what it is but it also smells cleaner if you don't have the garbage smells out right so you definitely want to have a lid we've got a big garbage can and then that way we only have to empty our trash once a week rather than daily or multiple times a week next try a Power Hour what this is is essentially you just set a timer for 60 minutes and then you go around cleaning what needs to be cleaned that could be cleaning your bathroom in your kitchen however you want to do it and maybe everybody in your house also participates and then you could probably clean your whole house that way you could make a list you could focus on what's important and honestly if an hour is too long which which maybe it is maybe do 30 minutes maybe do 15 minutes just set that timer and do some focused cleaning and if you just do that once a week I guarantee you you can totally stay on top of your house I think that the reason why this tip works is because when you set a timer it's just an amount of time that you you know you have dedicated to doing that activity and it really kind of like motivates you and and it's also like you feel like okay well I can get this done I I've got a end in sight and this should be easy my next tip is to take advantage of your dead time what is dead time we all have dead time throughout our day this is just time when we are waiting for something maybe we're on we're on hold on a call maybe we're waiting for our kids maybe we're in between we're working from home and we're in between meeting we've got some time maybe we're in between steps and cooking or heating up food in the microwave these are just examples of dead time but what I like to do is I take those those moments and then I will fit in small tasks that I can do you could make a list of what those small tasks are here's a list to get you started you know I like to do things like empty the dishwasher clean out the microwave wipe down the kitchen counter wipe down the front of the refrigerator maybe vacuum a small area there's lots of things that you could do in this day time and all of these tasks take like maybe 60 seconds to 2 minutes okay guys those are my tips on how to have a clean home when you work full-time if you follow these and employ these I promise they will help you they will really get you towards your goal of a clean and tidy home thank you so much for watching I'm going to link those decluttering videos I mentioned click on them and I'll see you over there bye-bye
