how to Installing keyless deadbolt one sided deadbolt rekeytraining

okay so we're going to install a keyless deadbolt in this door we're using a HPC easy back set marker the distance between the edge of the door and the center of the lock right here is going to be your back set so make sure you choose the right one we're going to do a two and 3/8 today if we look at the jam here we're going to inspect it to make sure that there's no nail holes or alarm sensors I do see a nail file right here so I'm going to do my key list just a little bit higher here so I don't hit that nail or screw or whatever is in there so coming back to the door make sure my key this is just a hair higher just to make sure that I'm not hitting that sensor I don't think it should be good right there I'm going to go ahead and mark my keyless easy to do take a sharp object could be a ice pick or whatever you want I'm going to mark the edge the door right here I'm going to mark my back set again it's two and 3/8 work my back step you got my door marked we grabbed my one inch paddle bit here my drill focus nor my clover here make sure it's not going anywhere it's going to be a pretty heavy dude heavy-duty doors so I'm going to do the best drill through it here now the rest of the store is foam inside that's okay just make this hole going straight in and straight back out we don't want to clear out the phone we just want to go straight in this right now okay at that hole drill next up is my hole saw this is a 1 in 3/4 I use a smaller I saw for the key less than I do for regular sized deadbolt or none so I'm going to again hold this door with my leg or my quit either way make sure that I actually I'm gonna close the door oh sorry close the door that's going to hold the door I'm going to drill my large hole here 1 and 3/4 useful keyless come in here I really want to go about half way through this door I don't want to puncture the other side let's tour pretty easy because it's just foam inside I'm done with that bit now I take a one inch hole saw with no Arbor nothing inside of it I slide it in this hole right in the lash folder let's shut my door lock the deadbolt I'll make sure both these door or both these uh blocks are latched any way I can get an accurate reading on the jamb as to where I want to put my hole for my keyless bolt grab a cold chisel and my hammer gonna put the chisel on the back of this one inch hole saw right here and just give it a light tap what that's going to do is give me holes or a perforated circle on that Jam the door now I'm going to come back with my hole saw I mean sorry when it's power here I'm going to drill this hole but using the using the markings that I got from a hole saw I'll it'll tell me where I want to put my my whole hair make sure again there's no sensors or screws right just just far enough for the laptops all the way next steps get my fellow set bid for my driver or you can use a hand hand screwdriver you know where grab the lock good little parts up put my little white plastic piece on the inside of the door does not go on the back of a key out of this bolt here it goes on the side facing the inside toward the inside of the house slider bolt in make sure it's nice and level take a hammer give it a real light tap make sure it's seated properly take our plate here put our black spindle in it slide it in I'm going to grab some screws here we want to use the machine screws that come in the package little machine screws not the wood screws we're going to tighten this down we're taught that with the screws in there and in that white plastic skis tighten it with my hands I don't screw anything up or crust or anything and it down and all I want to do is snug it I don't want to be down so type and I'm going to break that plastic piece so try my cruelest it might be stiff accurst loosen up great now I've got that done shut the door lock the deadbolt now what I want to do is I want to look in here to see where my bolts just go into the hole that I've already drilled with my one inch petal bit so as I look in here I know you can't see it on camera but as I look in here I can see that my bolts going basically right in the center of that hole that I've created so now I'm going to take my strike plate right here and a little baby screw little tiny little one I'm going to tack this tectus strike plate in place with a small screw just as kind of a holder so I can test to see whether this is the right position I want it to be in or not all right so let me shut the door again I'm going to see if that was correct or not hopefully there's a little clearance there's not that's okay so what I'm going to do next is chisel this out and install the strike plate and I'm just going to end the video there if you guys can figure that out I just want to show you the rest of the process this might take a few minutes so anyway that's the end of the video thank you
