hi welcome back to another quick guide today I'll teach you how to install Steam games on external hard drive and it's literally an easy process so make sure to watch until the end of the video to know how it's done to install Steam games on external hard drive you can follow these General Steps step one plug in your external hard drive and make sure it is recognized by your PC step two open a steam client on your PC and the steam client go to steam in the top left corner and choose settings and the settings window tab click on storage now click on ADD Library folder and choose external hard drive as the location for the new steam l Library folder if you haven't done we have tutorials for this but since I already added these external hard drive let's move on to the next step step three for games you haven't installed yet choose the external drive during the installation process just follow the prompts to make this a default hard drive now as you can see the star it indicates that this is a default hard drive now let's go to the store then use the search bar to find the game hit enter then hit an the r to your library hit okay now go to library once there click on the game and hit install make sure the external hard drive has been selected then finish the process by clicking install important to take note andure that the external drive has sufficient space for the games you want to install the external drive needs to be connected whenever you want to play games installed on it USB 3.0 or higher is recommended for better performance and that's all for now folks hope you like And subscribe thank you
