How to Install Lath for Stucco

today I will be showing you guys how to install laughs on your project we have this outhouse series that they built and it's completely detached from the existing and we're gonna be installing a the last which is a paper a wire and that's all just prep work before we can actually stuck with the building so we're gonna get started with yeah we'd screed which is which goes on the base of the actual building you're starting we screw you want to make a cut like this at the top no but at the bottom connects like a puzzle [Music] [Music] I'll show you how to apply the paper you're gonna need one of these right here I put a knife in the bag just to make a life a little easier slide on the wall and then cut my paper it's a little dangerous but it's up to you [Music] now this is sheer wall mm the sheer wall you want to do to roll two pillars of pitching the paper so it can pass inspection or else it won't pass inspection grab you a crown like this mark all the studs that way when you're stapling you know exactly where to staple anytime there's a window you always want to make sure you go underneath just flashing to make sure it's water all right when you do your second second rolling paper you're gonna give it about four inches of overlap now it's nice and waterproof and hid when you're rolling out paper don't put any staples in the bottom put them on the top well your way out but once you have it all stretched out then you put the staples on the bottom just to make your life a little easier Tantalus saw some wire I like to unroll the wire a little bit just to make my life a little easier [Applause] [Applause] put it now in the top right corner and put it down the left corner here that what makes it no easier that way you can move it around if you need to what I like to do is [Music] [Music] I just split your second line of wires this one you want to name about did we inch overlap how spring cracking we're only use nails at here very top make your life a little easier when you're laying that the cuts on the windows I wouldn't worry about those to the very end [Music] [Music] isn't it robot won't foot across won't foot pass that way makes it easier when you start on this corner and it makes a waterproof [Music] the reason I've told you enough to cut this window is because if there was loose wire here this wire will be getting stuck right now make my life a little harder when you cut that wire at the very end once you got nails on the top nose on the bottom [Music] [Music] because you have your scaffold up already you might as well finish off the stapling so on the stapler you want to go about every six inches and you want to follow the studs that way it grabs and it's not gonna fall off the wall staples these are single style staples your inch and a quarter that we have penetrates the actual sheer wall and goes into the studs you want to make sure you have the inch and a quarter if it's sheer walk do it line across the top all the way [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] make sure you apply cocking 20 electrical outlets and lights [Music] now it's time to staple the bottom [Music] [Music] if there's any pipe sticking out make sure you those two [Music] [Music] last you're gonna want to install your corner aid you can see where the leaf speed ends that's where you put your your end I usually start at the bottom or work my way up you want to make sure you got about 7/8 or just about an inch of plaster and there's gonna be your just your end point it's gonna be your guide for your stucco so you got to make sure that's nice and straight and once you once you're done with that you're pretty much done with the with the lat you can call for inspection and start getting ready for your scratch coat hope you enjoyed this video don't forget to Like and subscribe you
