what's up everyone Nikki Lyndhurst xmrv and today what we're going to talk about is tuning the primary clutch we're gonna I'm gonna show you how to put some goodies in there how to tune it I'll tell you right now I wish it was easy as just doing that and you could just slam it in but unfortunately it's not so what I'm gonna do if I have a CV Tech Trail block right here which is your primaries it's just the way to go really yeah so what we're going to do is we're gonna calibrate this buddies quad is some 30s on it mmm-hmm these are not calibrated from when you buy it so what we're gonna do is we're gonna toss a CB tech CV tech 1020 primary spring in there and then we're gonna toss some 12 gram weights that's just what I've found has worked for me and I have gone through quite a bit of parts trying to figure out what's worked and what has it worked and what have you so when I bought mine from we won't name who when I bought my primary clutch they calibrated it for me and it was way out of whack I kept going through drive shafts you probably if you've watched the videos from the start you've seen that I've gone through probably going three to four drive shafts and I couldn't figure out why my buddy looked at my engagement and it was up around 3400 rpm so obviously what it engages you're getting a whole lot of power but that being said I know Nano packed rows let's get into it and I'm gonna show you how to tune this trail block CB tech clutch it's the first thing we have to do is take this nut off so you're gonna need a 30 inch socket so so in terms of tuning the CV Tech is in my opinion that simplest all you got to do is take that nut off this plate will come off and everything you need to do will be inside take that off okay now as well so once it comes off you want to make sure you do not lose this because that has to go back on so that's there so this won't pop off right away because it's locked in so if you push down okay so that's what its gonna look like they're so super simple take your spring off all we're doing is swapping that out with another CV tech spring a little bit beefier so we should take it out of the packaging [Music] take the hey you got that slide that back on I'm gone to the weights so you might need something to poke that poke the weights through something small in pointy just use a flat spear driver okay this is brand new so it'll be a little bit a little stiff [Music] you know just need a little bit more motivation okay once their weights are out and swap them out these bad boys [Music] good just try to keep everything as clean as possible I mean this is brand new so we're gonna clean it anyways from all the packing wheels and everything but so from there you're just gonna press them down and again you want to make sure they go all the way in so they don't move around but anyways [Music] [Music] there's six so once they're all done you're gonna put them back in so essentially you want to just lean them up against the collar so when they slide they open up like that so you can put them in like that doesn't matter as long as they're obviously facing the inside push them all in to make sure they're in properly yep now we're gonna put it back on like that make sure the grooves line up okay now inside if they don't line up that's not gonna sit properly and evidently it's not gonna work properly at all so just kind of work it around there so that's in there try to keep the weight on it put your washer back on put this bad boy on gonna get to work that back up to spec all right so you got it all back together then what you wanna do is you're gonna want to tighten that to 70 70 or 80 foot-pounds I did 75 right in the sand was perfect you're gonna want to make sure that you do that the easiest way to do it is when it's on the bike for whatever reason if you can't put it on the bike then you'll have to brace it and then take it down but that's it [Music] [Music]
