ladies and gentlemen Gangi just got an insane amount of buffs and I mean incredible so we're gonna talk about Genji we're gonna talk about what these buffs mean and we're gonna break down an in-depth guide on Genji tell you exactly how you can play him each and every game to get the maximum amount of value and I'm even gonna teach you how to consistently one shot on this hero with this new buff the one shot combo it's incredibly easy to do so I'm gonna run through that right here anyways if you like Gangi content and you want to know more Gamescom has an entire stack section on kenji so do yourself a favor go check it out but without further ado let's just jump right into it shall we now first off let's talk about the changes on Genji his damage got increased from 28 per shuriken to 30 per shuriken his secondary fire spread got reduced from 12 to 9 this is gonna make it a lot easier to hit headshots consistently from close range I'm gonna talk about that a little bit more later when I talk about his one-shot combo next up his deflect the duration was increased for 1.5 seconds to 2 seconds but now his reflect can be manually cancelled which is an incredible buff to Genji because it really allows him to effectively protect himself in between damages now the biggest fundamental concept you need to understand about Genji before I could teach you anything else it's called the duality of Genji which is a Genji baseline that has been around since forever and I've covered it many times on this channel but I'm gonna summarize it incredibly quickly here because if you do not understand this concept you cannot proceed on gedgie you could not learn anything else on Genji so there's two styles of Genji the duality of it all is poke and pressure and brawl so a tldr of this is that the poke and pressure side is when you're playing incredibly safe with your team and you're just poking people down with your primary fire trying to pressure the enemy deal damage them and build up your precious old charge now all the while while you're in the poke and pressure stage you're waiting for a catalyst in order to tell you to transition from the polka pressure to the brawl and go in so your next immediate question would be what types of things are catalysts to tell Genji I can transition from this poking pressure save style into the frontline brawler actively doing damage on the enemy what are those catalysts well one example of one would be a separated squishy you see it on ER completely by herself or maybe i'm McCree off on the flame to the sidelines away from miss healers these are characters that can't get help can't get resources and if you all of a sudden get on top of them with burst damage and do a whole bunch of damage them by surprise they're not gonna easily be able to win the matchup against you and they're not gonna have any Pele that's one catalyst you could also see something like a weak target maybe you were spamming your shirt cans into the enemy when you're poking and pressuring but you hit a couple of head shots into a target you saw you got them down to 80 health that could be your catalyst to dash in try to combo them get your kill and then use that newfound dash to get back to your team or to proceed with more combos depending on the situation you could also use something that your allies are doing as that same catalyst like imagine if your allies are going in your honor nanos the ride for example and he's swinging into the enemy Ryan you could use that as the go ahead or maybe your Zora grabs the enemy that would also be a go ahead now that I give you some examples of these catalysts that could tell you when to go in you might ask what if these never come what if an opportunity never really presents itself now that is where your dragon blade comes in and that's why the power level of Dragon blade is important because essentially you can force that brawl stage that action that impact with your dragon blade and use it as its own catalysts you basically are the catalyst to go in now I know the immediate next thing you might wonder is why does this matter why does it matter when I go in and when I don't go in well the thing is if you always seem to feed and die on Genji or you can never get enough value on Genji to carry even if you're not dying that often it is usually one of these two things you either one you go into the brawl stage without ever having a good enough reason to meaning an enemy's not weak enough there's no clear signs there's no event that shows you hey this is a good time to go in and you're going in far too early or you never actually transition at all even when those clear signs of that opportunity which means that you're not identifying when a target is weak enough for you to go in which could be because you just simply don't know the signs or you're not confident in your own abilities in order to execute on an opportunity that you see now where does gangees new buff play a role in all this firstly his damage increase for his secondary fire and his smaller spread simply mean that he is more lethal during the brawl stage and can deal more damage consistently this is amplified even more so because you can easily get headshots even multiple headshots a lot easier opposed to how it was before now something about an increase in damage and Gangi is just like we talked about before with increasing your mechanical skill this gives you more opportunities for going in well as before maybe you wouldn't go in on a McCree if it was only a hundred HP or less now you might be able to squeeze out 125 or less and you don't even need to have any more mechanical skill in order to make that call now with a buff again G now I'm gonna move on to some tactics that you can use with these new buffs specifically short - right-click combos in particular are gonna be the most reliable way to deal burst damage easily when you - at someone's feet and then you instantly right-click towards their head area it's like a diagonal down where you still hit them with the - but then you immediately look up and right-click them right in the head now the reason that this buff is so important is because let me break down some numbers for you to really let you understand this picture getting a - is 50 damage and - sure kids in the head is gonna be 60 damage for shuriken meaning a hundred or twenty damage you combine that with a 30 damage melee follow-up which means is exactly 200 damage this is the 200 damage combo that is incredibly easy to execute now the short - combo is a lot easier to execute than the 180 - combos because the 180 - combos required you to know perfect understanding of the distance of genji - because you wanted to end up right behind the target before you 180 then did your combo this allows you to essentially do your combo from any rain as long as you're within the range of the - you can execute this combo which means that it's incredibly consistent and it's not only consistent it's very scared for the enemy which is a concept I'm going to talk about in a little bit now moving on to the reflect the reflect and time increase and the ability to cancel it allows gangees outplay options to be infinitely increased reflect can now be used as a shield to protect Genji in-between chunks of damage unlike before where you needed to do like a clumsy wall run in order to cancel reflect and you couldn't even do it unless you're near wall now you can effectively deal damage and then protect yourself until you're ready to deal damage again and you can essentially give the enemy a zero window in order to actually shut you down now what does this mean for Genji this means matchup like Widow's Hanzo screes ends on us they're crazy lopsided now while I would definitely still consider some of these a skill-based matchup because of the speed of executions the additional pressure due to the one-shot combo we talked about before and the difficult to punish aspect of this new reflect cancel there is such a tiny window for you to get shut down as in Genji if you play this correctly that a lot of these characters will not have a chance in a 1v1 now before we move on to Ganges dragon blade tips and Ganges bad matchups do me a huge favor and demolish that like button I would love to make in-depth guides on Genji or any other character he just didn't let me know smash that like button and let me know in the comments down below now as far as Ganges bad matchups these are characters typically that he can't get consistent reflect value from think characters like Winston's Arya may break more a doom fist these are a smallest of characters that can give Genji a hard time now the important way to play against these characters is simply to remember what we talked about earlier with the poke and pressure versus the brawl style of Genji if you stay in the back just poking and spamming they can't touch you if they ever get close enough to come for you you can always dash away with your mobility your wall run your dash and if you find an opportunity good enough to where you're sure that you can burst down a kill then you can go in get that kill you get your dash and mobility back in order to escape these targets now against the most dueling DPS characters like some of the ones we talked about before you're still gonna need a great deal of practice in order to beat each one consistently I always suggest try it free fro if you simply want to hone your mechanics and practice combos but the most important aspect of Genji the duality of Genji is not something you will practice in try out free-for-all you have to practice that it adopted to your play style within a game now something that's really important when it comes to one of you wanting enemies particularly the ones that you can get reflect value into is that the more pressure you put into a target the more pressure they're under the easier it will be for you to make them play into their reflect for example if a McCree is at 180 health and you try to reflect in front of them he's under very little pressure to shut you down at that exact moment now if that McCree gets all the way down to 40 HP the amount of pressure he's under is exponentially more which means he's way more likely to panic shoot you or try to stun you so that he can shut you down without you being able to lethal him and that's something that you need to think about and directly use to your advantage now moving on to the last topic we have to talk about in this video and it's dragon blade now dragon blading is all about target priority and speed of execution I would say a great percentage of Dragon blades fail because they are one before spur of-the-moment splays you need to be going in with your team every single time your dragon blade even if your team is just in ting in the pressure they provide the additional space they create and the cooldowns that they can take those things all help you now another amount of Dragon blades probably fail due to poor target management there are certain characters that are far easier to go after than others you really need to be thinking about mobility and fate abilities targets like maim or a Reaper these are not reliable targets to go after targets like McCree and honor you need to think about how you're gonna approach them before you try to dragonblade them while they don't have mobility yes they do have CC that can show you down so usually your reflect plus a mixture of canceling your reflect and going into your combo it's the way that you all play these characters now lastly of course we got to talk about speed now speed of your execution of your blade takes practice but it makes you way harder to punish and more lethal the faster you go now unless you put the time and effort into making your blades quicker then you have a higher chance of dashing into nowhere and doing nothing at all start off with slow and consistent blades and slowly work up to upping your speed without affecting your target priority and if you ever go too fast and you lose targets reel back that speed until you can become more consistent at that speed and then slowly work on speeding it up now last stop as a final tip with the dragon blade I know I said that speed is incredibly important but there are some examples where you need to slow things down specifically when you're playing with nano blade you need to be hyper-vigilant tours and enemies health and if they have anything like discord on them I can't tell you how many times I've actually slashed dashed down the traditional combo trying to kill someone with a nano blade only for them to die with my slash and then I instantly dash into nowhere I don't get my reset and I basically just throw a potential four or five K blade out the window because I wasn't necessarily paying enough attention and I was only focused on going fast and it was I hope you've learned even a little bit from this video if you like this type of content do me a huge favor go check out gaming comm go ahead over to the Ganges section just look around for a little bit I'm sure you'll find something that will pique your interest anyways if you like this video and you want me to make more just like it definitely let me know in the comments down below I can do an in-depth guide about literally any character in the game but you got to let me know anyways that's all I got for you today I'm coach Mills and until next time [Music]
