What’s up, guys? In this tutorial, I will show you how to fix
the problem when the Riot Client is not properly launching on your Windows PC. This should be quite an easy tutorial. For more information, click on the first link
in the description below. The Riot Client usually won’t open because
you don’t have admin permissions on your PC, because it’s running in the background
and not re-launching properly, or because of files from the app being blocked or corrupted. First, try running the Riot Client as an administrator. Sometimes, the client requires elevated permissions
to function correctly. By right-clicking on the Riot Client shortcut
or executable and selecting "Run as administrator," you might resolve the issue. Another potential cause could be that the
Riot Client is running in the background but isn't visible on your screen. By opening the Task Manager and looking for
any Riot Client or related processes, you can end those tasks and try launching the
client again. Additionally, outdated graphics drivers can
sometimes cause compatibility issues with the Riot Client. If you’re using an NVIDIA graphics card,
then you can make use of the GeForce Experience application. AMD users can make use of the AMD Radeon application. On this window, head to the “Drivers”
section. Proceed to download the latest driver and
it will be installed automatically after a couple of minutes. If this doesn’t work, consider reinstalling
the Riot Client. A fresh installation can often fix any underlying
issues. When doing so, always ensure you're downloading
the latest version directly from the official Riot Games website. It's also worth noting that third-party software,
especially those with overlay features like Discord or OBS, can interfere with the Riot
Client's functionality. Disabling or uninstalling these programs temporarily
might help pinpoint and resolve the conflict. Furthermore, your antivirus or Windows Defender
firewall might mistakenly block the Riot Client, thinking of it as a potential threat. Search for “Firewall” in your start menu
search to open your Firewall & Network Protection system settings window. From here, click on “Allow an app through
firewall”. On this window, click on “change Settings”
and then locate the “Riot Client” app before checking both of these checkboxes. If you’re unable to find the Riot Client
app listed here, then you’ll have to locate it in your file explorer by selecting “Allow
another app” and then “Browse”. Adjusting the settings of these programs to
add the Riot Client to their exception lists can often fix startup problems for the Riot
Client. These steps and more information will be available
in my extensive guide linked in the description below. I hope this helped you out, leave a comment
if you have any questions, and see you in the next one.
