How To Fix Missing File Privileges On Steam

in this video I will show you how to fix missing file privileges on Steam so let's jump straight into it so in order to do this as you can see I'm here on Steam the first thing you're going to want to do is completely exit out of steam so to do that come down to the bottom right hand corner on your Tas bar click onto the arrow which says show hidden icons then what you want to do is right click onto the steam icon and click onto exit steam this going to fly quit out of steam now from your desktop come down to the bottom left hand corner and in the search box go ahead and typee steam to locate the Steam app then what you want to do under best match is right click onto the Steam app and run this as an administrator so now you just need to wait a minute or two for this to load back through and open up steam and here we are so once you're back into steam there's a couple more things you're going to want to do the first thing you're going to want to do is come up to the top left hand corner and press onto steam at the top then on the drop down menu come down and click onto settings from here what you're going to want to do is come over to the left hand side and and on this menu you want to click onto downloads now the first thing I would would recommend is changing your download region so you want to change this to another local region to you so for example for myself in the UK is set to London but I can change this for example to Manchester or any of the other available options once that's done what I would recommend doing is clearing your download cache so that's on this same page you can see down here clearing the download cache might resolve issues downloading or starting app so just go ahead and press this button and once you've done that it's going to go ahead clear your cash and restart steam it's also going to ask you to log back into steam so make sure to make a note of your password so you can log back in So once you're back on Steam there's one final thing I would recommend doing which is if you come up to the top left hand corner and press onto library and what you want to do is okay to the game that you'll getting this error message for so in this example I'm just going to take tabletop simulator and what you're going to want to do is right click onto the game in your game library to bring up a drop down menu and then click onto properties from here come over to the left hand side and what you want to do is click on to installed files and then from here you want to click the button which says verify Integrity of game files so what it's going to do is locate any files that could potentially be corrupted or damaged and if there's any damaged or corrupt files this is also going to go ahead and fix this because sometimes if you have any corrupt files or even missing files this can cause this error to occur so you just want to run that first of all and make sure all the files are successfully validated once that's done you should now be able to go ahead and play the game without that error message so that's how to go ahead and fix missing file privileges on Steam I hope this tutorial did help you out today and if this did help you out I would really appreciate it if you want to consider dropping down below the video leaving a like and also subscribing to the Channel with that being said I just want to take a minute thank you guys for watching this tutorial and I will see you in the next video
