okay and on this video what we're dealing with is fixing this crap in the wall right here this crack is above the door casing and it's in the lower foyer area and this is a common crack that that you're going to get when the house starts to UM just settle and you you get these a lot in the lower for your areas or where the foyer and enters into the kitchen area and as you can see here the width of it so again this is a a common crack and there is a there's a a certain way to fix this to help it so that it doesn't come come back again so what I'm going to use first here is my 5 and 1/2 to insert and what we want to do is we want to make the crack deeper that's once comes up here now the reason that we want to make it deeper is because we wanna get out all the loose material there because if you don't if you just try to mud right on top of it it's not going to work you actually want to put them on you want to force the up mud in into the hole so that it's a it's stronger straw surely so you want to cows that in ok and now what I'm going to do use my my snip snap boy knife here to to shave down the edges here so I'll turn the blade on to like a 45 I'm just going to cut each side here come up on this side here up here okay now what I'm gonna do is I'm going to step down to get my vacuum and I'm going to vacuum out the up okay so as you can see I really all opened it up more so which is just going to allow for a better straw structure with you up if you have month so it's all that vacuumed out and since the wall is white here the adjoining compound is white so what we're going to do here is I'm just going to paint this green hair and up in I'm going to paint this green here so that the joint compound will show up a little better because we're going to have to bring bring them on out to left in to the right to try to conceal this so I'm just going to roll this here okay so we're just going to give this sometimes do i dry out and we'll be back out after this paint has I dried again we'll start to uh tape into all mud
