How to fish for sockeye salmon Snag fishing Seward Alaska 2024 - @BOUTDOORSALASKA @Chuakiagx3

Ry can make $40 a day anybody in there we just got to rip tide RV uh Seward in Nash Road in SE Alaska we're going to go snagging for Sakai salmon the limit is six and we're hoping to catch our limit it's kind of slow right now but if you know how to look for the fish find the spots where they're at you can catch them I have a couple buddies on the way to meet me out here today my buddy vanam Chuky set it snag it dip it and be outdoors I'm going to show you how I tie on my snagging hooks it's a uni not and go through through go back through again the same way so your lines going the same way make downward Loop made that Loop go through it six times with your tag end two three four five and six wet the knot with mono that makes a nice notot it's not going to come undone catch lots of fish pretty simple not too complicated set up just tying a snagging hook straight onto your Rod some people use swivels some people use leaders when I'm running 40 pound mono I like just tying straight on there's not too many people out today compared to usual the Russian River opens tonight so most people are going to the Russian not in Seward snagging but I didn't want to deal with the crowd so we're in sewer today and do the unut again through go back do again make my Loop and go through six times two three four five and six wet the lemon s it down it's not going nowhere leave a little bit of a tag end and you're good to go sometimes I'll put a bead right here to protect my eyelet so I don't reel in too fast and crack my first eye but I didn't think of it this time all right me get my waiters on and we're going to be out getting on the water we're at se Nash Bayfront Riptide RV campground we're going to go try to snag some Reds with be outdoors and set it snag it dip it cat my fish see what we usually further than those people right yeah way we're like way last time there was a bunch of like mths over there in your yeah yep one guy wouldn't let us get in front of him yeah one guy every time somebody catch a fish he would walk in front of everybody and he just kept pushing the crowd of fish further and further out cuz the sea lions were pushing them into us and he was pushing them back out realize they're too far out right I've been that guy though yeah feel him hitting your legs right damn it I wasn't recording got one yeah 5 minutes in got a fish be outdoors got a fish right away his one too his son caught one see everybody's over there we're over here with a professionals fish I got a pretty decent one on the tail yeah woo nice one that's a nice one best way to dispatch give him my little Bonk on the head couple times for good luck almost dropped my Bonker oh here we go be outdoor Sun hooked up professionals do you have your n no stop flopping you
