HOW TO: Finger Coil On Natural Fine Hair

[Music] hi guys welcome back to my channel and today we're going to talk about how i got this look finger coiling my hair and i finger coiled my hair with the most simplest simplest tools ever my finger and some gel so i want you to stay tuned and tell me what you think after watching my video okay so the first thing we're going to do to get that curly nice look is to start off on damp hair i already have my hair a little bit dab it's a little wet as you can see now before i put anything in my hair i want to talk about the stuff that i'll be using now to curl my hair i'll be using the clear ice ultra hold right this is a i just need a little cheap gel you know what i'm saying to curl my hair doesn't take much so for this look i use my clara eyes clear gel in the beauty supply store and it was only 2.99 that's it less than five dollars now to do my edges i like to secure my edges with my gorilla glue this is what i use to secure my edges so that they don't move for the whole day i have my little spray bottle just in case areas of my head get dry and i need to spruce it up a little bit and to start off i'll be using to moisturize my hair because i want to keep my hair nice and healthy i'll be using my olive oil cholesterol leave-in moisturizer so for that i'll just take a little bit because i don't need much either so i'm just gonna take this much and put it in my head like this and it makes my hair nice and soft right massage it in there gotta get in there you know what i mean massage that scalp gotta show them who's boss right because a good scalp massage stimulates your hair growth now it's time for us to get down and dirty right what i like to do is i like to separate my hair into sections when i start to finger coil and curl my hair so i like to separate it so i just come from the back all right i don't know if you can see that but just got it separated i'm all scrunchy i can't find nothing else just to hold that out of the way all right take what you call it's a denim brush take one of your brushes and just comb it out just to get rid of any tangles then you may have so we open up the clear eyes and let me i like to use my two or three fingers and take some gel about this much not a lot can you see i don't use too much gel and i just slap it in there [Music] what i like to do i like to take and just throw it around my fingers like that take a section it doesn't have to be perfect and just twirl around that's it that's all you got to do to finger coil those curls [Music] next step is to part the sides out like it's in the back so we can curl the sides now spring a little water to get it nice and damp so my curls can come out to absolute perfection and i'm gonna do the other side i know i look crazy right now but it's okay i'm gonna look great later oh this is one of my bottles that i use for one of my body oils hydro passion i make body oils also you can mix a little oil with your water if you want to to put in your hair just to give it that nice shine and health but i just have water in here i don't have any oil mixed now my hair is damp do the same routine take my clear eyes put about three fingers in take about this much okay put a little bit more just put as much as you need to get that um nice i forgot to detangle before i did all this but um i'm gonna detangle it now jesus okay just detangle the brush will even give you some curl as well right it gives me some curl too but i rather do my finger because i kind of wanted to find it a little bit more right so i do that and i'm going to go in i'm going to go in and i'm going to do the same routine finger finger and release [Music] [Music] [Music] and you just keep doing that this technique throughout your whole head okay my sister finger from the root and release finger root so we have this side down path right now we have to do the other side and i'm just gonna detangle it with the gel because then my curls my curls pop a little bit more when i do it that way all right so now that we have detangled and we have the curls we're going to do the same technique [Music] all right so so now it's time to do the midsection area now i have two more areas too i'm gonna do i'm gonna put this front area away we're gonna come back to that we're going to save that for last because the front is important and we're going to do this mid area right here so i'm going to work on that and then i'll hit you back when i'm ready to do the frame okay i'm back so now we're going to focus on the front part of my head this is the part that is important now this is the part where i would make a part that part now to make my part i'm going to use my um comb with the pick and i'm just going to part the area that i want to to do all right i want my hair to fall on let's make that part a little better okay all right i want my hand to fall this way and that way so i'm going to focus on putting the hairs on this side so i'm going to focus on angling the hair to fall in this direction when i make my curls so put as much gel to the root as you can take little sections twist it and bring it out from root to end okay bring it up and bring it out bring it out and so i want my hairs to fall this way on that side now the other side [Music] just angle all the curls to one side some reason the curls on the curls towards the front of my hair a little bit looser but as the time passes by it's going to curl up in just a more looser curl i can't explain it i can't explain it okay this is how my hair is all right so now we have all the curls all the curls are done now it's time for me to do my edges now when doing my edges i like to use my gorilla glue because i believe that the gorilla glue gives me a better hold with my edges i take a little bit at a time i use this much right not too much i use that much and i just paste it on my edges like so i just do like a nice little outline on my edges right and then what i'll do is i'll take my brush right my regular brush and i'll just start making my veggies nothing too drastic oh you see my foundation okay and i was with the other side and then i like to just take my little ends and give myself these little curls and just to define them a little more and over here i do the same thing i'll just define my curl at the end just a little bit more all right just to give my curls a little bit more and that's it this is how i do my finger coiling on my natural hair now if you were to ask me my top my hair type ah i would say i'm it's a mixture because on the top it's the looser curls on the back it's a little tighter coily i have coily hair right the shrinkage is real so this is how it looks this is my final look now if you like how i did this look please comment and let me know what you
