hello everyone and welcome to slice print role play in this episode i'll explain how you can extend the life of your cleaning solution with a simple filtering process all right let's get to it [Music] so this process is inexpensive and really easy you'll find all the things you need linked in the description below first you'll need a large glass or plastic container preferably cylindrical and also with a well-sealing lid this will be used to pour your liquid into while you're filtering it next you'll need both a paper coffee filter and also one of these reusable baskets the next item is optional but i think it's a really good idea to keep everything a little bit cleaner and that's just a medium sized shallow container that will catch any excess drips while you're pouring your liquid through the filter and the last thing you'll need is really important it's a large shallow tub that you can put all of your waste material in this process works really well but it's not 100 effective so you will end up with some waste material so you want a large shallow container that you can pour that waste material into and let the liquid evaporate and the resin cure one quick note if you decide not to use the container i have linked down below make sure that you get something that has a wide enough mouth that the coffee filter will fit down into but won't fall into you want it to sit mostly inside because the mesh netting might allow liquid to pour out over the sides so the first step of this process is the most important you want to put your dirty solution into a clear container and leave it out in the sun alternatively if you don't get enough sunlight you can use a curing station but this will take a few days so if you have enough sunlight to put it outside i would definitely recommend doing that you can see here at the end of day one it was pretty murky the end of day two it was starting to get a lot clearer and the resin was curing and settling at the bottom and by the end of day three the resin had mostly settled out and it was about as clear as it was gonna get and then once most the resin is cured and settled to the bottom you can start filtering the trick with this process is that you want to pour slowly but consistently you want to do everything you can not to disturb the resin that's settled to the bottom the reason for this is because these filters work well but they're not going to filter out all that material so once you get to where the resin is most concentrated i would recommend stopping and then just dump what you're left with into the large container to cure in the sun you'll lose about five or ten percent of that liquid but it's a lot better than not having any of it after about a day in the sun the liquid should evaporate and you should just be left with chunks of hard resin if you want to throw on a pair of gloves and grab some paper towels you can wipe out the bottom of your container and it'll get a little less sticky but basically this container is a goner just use it for this and nothing else because it's gonna get pretty gross and that's it i really hope you found this video helpful if you did please like and subscribe it helps the channel and i really appreciate it and if you want to support the work that i'm doing here you can find my patreon link down below alright let's go print something [Music]
