How to Enable Python in Excel - Enable Microsoft 365 Insider

the python integration to Microsoft Excel is a game changer and you need to start paying attention to this but first since the feature is in private preview is in better Channel how do you enable your Office 365 to receive this feature so that you can also start learning and leveraging this in Microsoft Excel so in this video I'm going to show you how to enroll for the better channel in Microsoft 365 so that you can receive this feature updates right within your office and you can start using it so let's get started you will observe that on the formula but there is no python integration so just move to file and go to account and you see there's no option for you to sign up for the Windows 365 Microsoft 365 Insider but there's an update option here so go ahead and click on update now or if you don't see that option just click on update option and select update now to check for update and that's what I'm going to do right now and it's checking my close the app and also open it back once it is done updating which I have right here updates were installed I'm going to click on close and navigate back to account and check again if I can see any option that will enable me to enroll for the Microsoft traces right inside that program Viola I have that here so right there I can see additional option fourth option now which has Windows 365 Insider micro twist right inside the radar and what I have here when I click on it is join Microsoft prescribe Insider about Microsoft and few other things it is easy to sign up check the box there and change the channel from current channel to better Channel okay and check the box to update to terms and condition and click on OK after doing this and few seconds congratulations you have successfully opted into the program so when you click OK mine open up a browser just to give you a newsletter to feel and subscribe to but let's go back to home and see if the feature is there the feature is not yet there it might take a week or few days because they roll up this changes every week so take your time and check frequently you will start your system and this is one way to get this done let's talk about another option so right here let's assume you do not have you do not have this feature within your Microsoft Excel and also when you go to Excel sheet you cannot see the python integration that this also happens sometimes that you can find this feature you don't see the option to enable Microsoft 365 Insider and neither are you already on the better Channel but you need to activate better channel the first thing to do is go to your windows and type power shell and you will see these options make sure you click on Windows Powershell is which is integrated scripting environment the reason why I use this um in this video is because it gives you opportunity to write and make use of this user interface because this is GUI you know you can point and click even though you are writing script but you can still point and click and execute some tasks and we're going to start executing our Tasker so that I can see how it is it's not a lot of the task it just to write some basic and simple commands so the first thing to do is we're going to change to a different environment no so you write CDs change directory program files as you can see while I'm typing this it literally showing me the photo that I can point and click and directly click on it make sure your selection is within the code you can see and click on run that will take you to the click to run directory that's where we have you know change directory to and within that just type this formula you know full stop follow us forward slash office change um click to wrong client that's the essence of the C uh c2r click to run client dot executable file and then type what I have then change to I'm changing to current Channel but you should change to better Channel just put better Channel there and then once you are done running this third strip there is updating user so when you update user it automatically follows an update it's going to download you need internet connectivity for this and when it's done downloading go ahead and put up your Excel you might still not see the better Channel updated maybe because um uh it might take time so all you restart your PC and when I come back you should see the better Channel and not um not the update I should say update but I'm not saying the current channel here which is what I updated to if you find this video helpful don't like this video and also subscribe to my channel make sure you check the description section for link to use case now we're able to build machine learning model you know within python integration to excel
