hey guys welcome back to the channel and today in this video I'm gonna show how to enable or disable verbose mode on Hackintosh if you're new to the Channel please make sure to subscribe and now let's begin generally verbose mode is a method of booting an operating system without the GUI mode which displays the scrolling text with descriptions of precisely what's exactly going on behind the scenes each element that loads and starts or has a possible failure is described on the screen in terms of Mac OS enabling verbose mode will boot the Mac OS or OS X without the Apple logo and the progress bar this information is very helpful in tracing down the underlying issues if the system is unable to boot or has any hardware failure bad configuration or a boot loop using such information you can actually get to know why the system is unable to boot or any other particular issue you have with the system of course the verbose messages aren't displayed in easy to understand full sentences and to understand them you'll need to either be familiar with Unix and its commands and terminology the verbose mode can be enabled on real macintosh's as well as on Hackintosh in this video tutorial I'll show you how to enable or disable verbose mode using Clover or open core bootloader proceeding further download the required configurator depending on your bootloader now if you are using open core bootloader open open core configurator and mount your ESP after mounting the ESP open EFI partition and then browse to the EFI folder then OC folder and then open the config P list using open core configurator now in opencorp configurator click on nvram tab from here select the last uuid in the left section and then from the right section select the boot args key and then if you want to enable the verbose mode add Dash V in starting as shown here and if you want to disable the verbose mode just remove the dash V along with the extra space now close open core configurator and save the configuration and now after changing the configuration restart you Hackintosh to see the changes during the restart make sure to reset the nvram once if you don't have the nvram option follow the guide from my button to enable it foreign core users I have shown how the process works now it's time for Clover users if you're using Clover bootloader your verbose startup will be similar as shown now open Clover configurator and mount your ESP ounding the ESP open EFI partition and then browse to the EFI folder then Clover folder and then open the config P list using the Clover configurator now in Clover configurator click on boot Tab and here in the arguments section if you want to enable the verbose mode right click on the context menu and then select Dash fee from the list and if you want to disable the verbose mode select Dash V and click on minus button to disable the verbose mode after making the changes close Clover configurator and save the configuration and now after changing the configuration restart you Hackintosh to see the changes foreign now when you're at the Clover boot menu press f11 key on your keyboard to reset the nvram and after that you're good to go so that was it hope it was useful consider like for the video subscribe to the channel and if you have any question just comment down below thanks for watching and have a great day ahead
