Hackintosh Updating Opencore Bootloader and Kexts - How To

hey Hackintosh gang welcome back to my Channel today you will learn how to update your opencore boot loader and together with the CeX of your hack andos let's download opencore configurator and opencore auxiliary tool by going to Google follow along on this video on how to download them all I'm using Mac OS enoma on this video with Dell oplex 3080 micro [Music] [Music] once done let's go to the download folder extract the open core configuration an open core auxiliary tool as shown on this video let's run the open core configurator app if you see this error just go to your settings and under the security section click the open anyway button and type in your password afterwards Mount the EFI Partition by clicking the small icon above click the mount partition button and type in your password it will load the [Music] [Music] config.sys updated one is 98 and the location is under the EFI just click on download button make sure that you are connected on the internet for you to download the update successfully when you see the unzi text below you can now close the window now click on the Kernel section then click the download update CeX button we will now update the texts this will now proceed to check on any updated text on your EFI folder folder when you see the green highlighted cext it means that there's a new updated version of that [Music] cext once done you will just need to check the CeX that you want to update on this case I will just update the Apple a LC CeX for this demonstration click the download button then close the window once done goto tools Advance open core validator then click the validate button if you see any error we may need to fix something the fix up Apple EFI image is located under the Booter section in this case it's not enabled I just need to tick the check box for it to be enabled press command s to save the configuration we are done here using the open core configurator now let's try using the open core auxillary tool you don't need to do this part I will just demonstrate how to update your boot loader using open core auxillary [Music] tool let's open the open core auxillary tool and if you encounter this error just open your security settings again and open it anyway now let's open the config dop list by clicking the mount ESP button then click the mount and open config pist click the update boot loader and kex button click select all then check kex update button this will now check for any updates on the CeX installed on your EFI make sure you are connected to the internet when you see any red indicator that means those CeX has updated version the current column is the version of the CeX that you have while the available column are those that has a new version of the CeX you can click the update CeX to update them automatically this will now update them the red indicator will be green light after the successful [Music] update now let's update the open core boot loader press to get the latest version of open core button this will check the database for the new one it will prompt you that it has been updated now press the start sync button save the configuration by pressing command s then press the validate button if there is any error you need to fix it if none you are good to go that's about it for this video if you want to watch another one click the video on the screen thank you and see you [Music] there
