moving day now today I'm going to try to finish the how to empty and cleaning your black tank video that I tried to make whenever a bad stuff happened disaster the house smells like poop because I let that water go a little bit too long it came up out of the toilet flooded the bathroom got the carpet a little bit wet right here in our bedroom ruined a bunch of towels it smells like crap in my house back so this morning we need to dump the black tanks I need to dump the grey tanks cuz I kept them both closed so if we were only gonna be here for five days or so and that's about the time where the grey tank with normal five person shower usage and dishes and things become full so remember I have two sets I have a back set and a front set of black and of gray so right now all of them are closed I was taking a shower the last person to take a shower on her fifth day and the shower started not draining so I know my gray tank is full TIFF was doing the last little bit of dishes so we know our front gray tank is full the black tanks are probably not full at all because I mean it's just it's normally usage it might last us two weeks but either way I'm gonna flush him both so what you do is some people ask should I keep my black tank cracked a little bit just so that it kind of runs out like the normal sewer in your house and that answer is no don't do that because if you do that you think of like really wet like mud think of mud poop is mud and you just like you're dropping it and eventually it's going to kind of pile up and pile up and pile off and then once it stays there that moisture that's in that mud is going to drain out because your black tank is at an angle and then there's the hose that goes out or the pipe that goes out that moisture is gonna roll out and all you're left with is just a solid mud like pyramid that is not going to fit out of that small hose and then you have a blockage in your tank and you don't want that because I cost you a lot of money for someone to come fix or you gotta buy a bunch of goofy contraptions where you're shooting water back up the hose that could cause a mess so just leave your black tank closed if you're going to be extended stay somewhere like right we very well could have opened our gray tank and let the gray tank run out because that's not a problem I like to keep my great-aunt closed as much as I can because I like to use that water to flush out all the hoses and you'll see why here in a moment at the very end so it's a very like depending how much water you have in there a high-pressure kind of flush once all of your black tank is clean okay so here is our grey and our black valve handles these will work sliding opening valves further up inside your RV closer to your actual tank now you see I have this additional valve on the end of our discharge pipe and that is like your last line of defense that stops everything so whenever you close these valves there's still a little bit of water that can be coming down or poop water it's coming down from those pipes so with this guy you capture all that so whenever you take off this cap nothing is gonna spill out onto your hands so these things that happened the very first time and then I got those and never happened to get so we're gonna do right now cuz I know my grey tank is full I'm gonna open it a little bit and I'm gonna get some water through these hoses just to kind of get the hoses wet last line of defense work there we go and remember I'm gonna use that at the very end to clean out all the nastiness out of those lines so this is the time you clicked on the video this is what you came here to see I'm gonna open the black tank and you're gonna see here in his viewing port exactly what you're gonna see now I'm gonna do this probably twice because it's not all that full I'm gonna open it and what you think is in there is gonna come out and for a lot of people like that's good I've cleaned my tanks for a but we're going to attach the water wash hose which is a freshwater hose that cleans the inside of your black tank and this is where we went wrong last time I waited too long the water pressure at that Park was really really high I miscalculated the time I'm only gonna run that wash which cleans the inside of the tank and then as it fills up water it swirls that water around and just cleans more and you'll see the second go around is probably worse than the first but I'm only gonna let that run for about five minutes this time so I don't ruin our house I almost did last time so if you don't want to see nastiness what she really should because if you're gonna live this lifestyle you'd better be accustomed to it skip forward to this time the hair goes black I said we've only been here about five days we've been out about quite a bit so it's not as full as it usually is so the second go-around is probably gonna be way way WAY worse actually that's just a bunch of water so I'm gonna close this I'm gonna put a bunch of water in there to help out because you want liquids because you want everything to float you don't want sludgy poop trying to work its way down these hoses you want to flush out with bigger so I'm actually gonna attach that for that water wash hose right now and get more water in the tank and then hopefully everything will flow out a whole lot faster so right now the fresh water is being pumped inside the black tank and it's swirling around trying to clean up the sides and adding some moisture to that to the poop water that's in there because like you saw there wasn't very much all right so I've got a five minute timer going not ten minutes and now we wait all right so it's been about five minutes said it wasn't that full timer I'll never that worried and we cleaned it before we left so I'm gonna go ahead and open this valve again black tank does it smell good smells like you think it smells closed it we let the water rinse go for about five minutes opened it again let that water rinse run while the valve was open just to clean it out a little bit so I closed it right in for another five minutes and then we're gonna see what it looks like hopefully it should be nice and clean I was pretty all right Klose black since we're pretty much done with that and now all this is just flushing all that nastiness of it I notice I'm not wearing any gloves because I haven't really touched anything disgusting I clean all these hoses every time we use them stop doing the dishes outside but right now just been touching this handle and the hose the freshwater hose so I haven't touched anything disgusting so you can do this without touching anything gross and that's all great water says shower for this one that's just shower water and water in the sink so the water touch that carpet oh man that's bad cuz I got a fan on there all of our towels that I used to immediately stop up all the water I got there this is a heater duct I tried to get as far into there as I could and this is straight down where I was so water leak down there and I cleaned all that up already I've got vents open all throughout the house got windows opened all throughout the house ten minutes is too long live and learn to eat this example five to eight minutes approximately ten minutes is approximate and they're not true - ten - ten is too much too much you
